The Bowers & Wilkins FS-M-1 stands are elegant and stylish. They are a lot heavier than the look, the base is extremely heavy. The upright is aluminum which is great for weight however makes it easier for the metal screws to wear out the aluminum.
The design is great, however the connection between the speaker and stand can be a bit finicky. I discovered depending on how much they are tightened with the recessed screw the speaker can go on and off easily.
I had the leave music playing while I tightened it because I initially tightened it and once I used my receiver microphone to configure my speakers once I got to the rear surround speaker I constantly recessed no sound
I would recommend double checking your box once received. I received 2 open boxes before the 3rd was a new unopened box. These speakers as you may or may not know, will only work with this stand.

Overpriced, but you knew that just from the B&W name. These work as expected, but the directions are a little sub-par regarding the plastic piece in the top of the stand and the setting of the speaker into the plastic piece to mount the speaker to the stand. There's a small diameter, long set screw in the tube of the stand - I needed to loosen it up to permit the plastic piece to be more easily withdrawn/re-inserted (speaker wire electrically connects to terminals on the bottom of the plastic piece so it must be removed). Also, when inserting the speaker, you need to press the button on the plastic piece that extends through the tube of the stand. This reminds me that feeding the wire through the stand is a pain - it should have been pre-wired so that you connect to the stand with banana connectors.

they are expensive, but with that said. It is built well and the stand bases are very heavy which give it sturdiness. I also like the clean integration of the speaker wire down the neck of the stand, all in all very well designed/built.

Stands are mostly pretty good. Bought my stands brand new but I’d be shocked if one of the stands had not been used before. One of the screws that tightens the speaker in position was missing the rubber end and wouldn’t tighten. I’ve read reviews that the connection is difficult and that the connectors aren’t marked. I didn’t experience either of those. But, if you are looking for simple straight forward easy setup, this may not be the best option. Works great as my surrounds.

These MI speaker stands basses are heavier then they look, which make for a sturdier quality product. Their height allows them to be at level to hear the music clearly. I use as surround sound stands.

I have had three B&W front (CDM7) speakers for years and I’ve never been quite satisfied with my surround speakers (Bose and two different Klipsch speakers) until I finally tried the B&W M1 speakers. They totally match the sound of the front B&W speakers. For the first time in years my 5.1 surround system sounds as it should. The B&W stands for the M1s are really nice too and Best Buy has them cheaper than anyone else. For me the next step will be adding four B&W ceiling speakers for Dolby Atmos.
My advice: Save yourself some time and frustration and get all speakers made by the same manufacturer, regardless who it is.

My "open box excellent" was missing the base plates to mount the vertical stand on. Someone is not doing a very good job at reviewing their returns. Half the assembly was missing! Best Buyer Beware I guess. I am now waiting for a second "open box excellent" with fingers crossed.

These speaker stands are very heavy. They look nice and work well. They way the speaker wire runs up the inside of the stand and then attaches to it so all you have to do is basically clip the speaker in is very cool. Very happy with these.

I had to wait a couple of weeks for delivery in store...picked them up and took them home. Missing all hardware to assemble the stands. Had to go back to the store, return, and reorder....waiting another 2 weeks!
They did look like they were of decent quality, but I didn't get to assemble obviously

So these items do work well as a stand for your surrounds UNLESS you have a plush type or overstuffed type chair that raises your sitting height. Once this is the case, these stands are a touch too low to be at the recommended "6-8" above ear height" for your surrounds. I returned due to this as I solely use my M-1 speakers as R and L surrounds for movies.
