Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the Series 7 Electric Shaver's exceptional shaving quality, delivering incredibly close and smooth shaves. The efficient cleaning system and ease of use are also frequently praised, along with the good battery life. However, some customers find the price to be high and the trimmer somewhat difficult to use.

I really enjoy using this shaver. I had a Norelco for many years, which I always assumed was the best, but this shaver will give the Norelco ones a run for their money. Great shave. Comfortable. Built in cleaning is awesome. Would definitely recommend.

I recently replaced my 15+ year old Braun Series 7000 shaver with this 790CC model. I can only hope it lasts as long. The only reason I replaced the old one, was because it's cleaning station broke (the shaver was still in great condition). I read a bunch of reviews before purchasing this model, but did not have much hesitation, based on prior experience with a Braun shaver, and the price was right. Regarding the new model, I have likes and dislikes: Likes: The new cleaning station has a better mechanical design, which appears less likely to break in the manner the old one did. The new shaver has a better ergonomic design than the old one. the shave is better (that is, closer) than the old one. Dislikes: There is no way to selectively control the battery recharge function on the cleaning station (unlike on the old system); if it is plugged in, it will automatically charge the shaver whenever it is placed in the cradle. I would prefer to "exercise" the battery by letting it drain more fully in between charging cycles. Obviously, the shaver needs cleaning cycles more frequently than charging cycles; would be better to have them independently controlled.

Bought a Braun Series 3 razor a couple years ago. Was time to upgrade so I bought the Series 7. Wish I would have earlier. Closer shave. More powerful. Has a battery life display. Makes the Series 3 feel like a toy.

I've had a couple Brauns in the past and was happy but last time I decided to try a different shaver after reading reviews. I switched to a Panasonic and was equally happy. The shavers usually give me 6-7 good years of shaving. The Panasonic was less maibtainance. After reading a bunch of reviews I decided to spend a little extra and get the top rated model the Braun 7-790. It provides a close shave and has nice features. It does require daily cleaning and maintenance however. It's good because u get a fresh shave each time but takes a little more time. I like my new shaver and recommend it, but I'd really like to compare it to the new Multi blade Panasonic. Braun is more widely carried and a lot easier to get accessories or find.

I picked this up when my last one died (took advantage of a sale price). It has more options than my last one (closeness), I really like the gauge on the device for battery and hygiene. If you forget to clean it because it's too noisy to run at certain times, the gauge reminds of you that when you glance at it. I love the travel case, that will definitely come in useful! Only con I can think of is how loud it is when cleaning, but my old was just as loud. I struggle to call it a con, but I thought it was worth mentioning if someone looking for something with a quiet cleaning options.

    Braun 7 vs philips 9000

I decided to get back into the electric shaver world once again to save time with shaving and to save my face from cuts in the morning. I tried to look up the best and kept finding the Braun 7 and the Philips 9000 as the ones to buy. The 7 is a foil shaver and the 9000 being a rotary shaver. This led to my next question, well which is the best of the two? I found that this went back and forth on opinion of foil verse rotary so I decided to just buy both and try them for myself. I shaved each side of my face with both and to tell you the truth, you cant go wrong with either. Both give a shave that DO rival the shave of a razor. Now with that in mind, the one that I would say was the winner of the two would be the Braun 7, but that is buy a small margin. What gave the 7 the win is .that it gave just the slightest better shave. You could feel baby smooth skin with no stubble just like from a razor. With the 9000 you still had a pretty smooth shave, but you could feel just the smallest stubble, and I mean the smallest. I had to feel both sides of my face, then have my son feel both sides for a few minutes to really tell the difference. I then noticed that the 7 side of my face didn't need to be re shaved as quickly as the 9000 side, but the 9000 side still held its own. Neither shaver pulled or hurt to shave with my face not being shave over the last three days, and that was with a trimmer. I was so impressed with both. The next thing that gave the 7 the win was the cleaning station. Both work well, but the 7 was able to tell me if the shaver even needed to be cleaned, and even at that point, it can tell at what level it needs to be cleaned. The first level is a quick clean and then it goes all the way up to a full cleaning. This will save on how long you can go before you replace the cleaning solution. The 9000 does not do this, even at the higher price point. Now, if you have to have the rotary shaver or a wet/dry, get the 9000. You will not be disappointed one bit. The shavers are that close. If you are like me who can us either, get the Braun. It shaved just a little better, was cheaper, able to be used plugged in while using and had the smarter cleaning station. I am going to keep both at the end of the day, my son said he would love to have the 9000 if I was going to take it back, so I gave it to him to use with it being better then any shaver he has ever bought. Like I said, you cant go wrong with either....

I have used electric shavers my whole life, but I have always stayed with ones more on the bargain price end. They served their purpose and lasted a decent amount of time. I have always been curious about these high end type of shavers...would I be able to tell the difference? Well this one went on sale and I was overdue for a new one, so I dropped my cash down and gave it a try. Well, you can definitely tell the difference in product and shave. Great quality shaver and a really good shave. Is it worth three (or even four) times the value of my old bargain shavers...not sure. It will depend on how long it lives, I guess. If I get a good return in lifespan then I guess it was worth it...time will tell.

This is replacing a basic Braun shaver which left my face feeling dry and sensitive, the foil would not glide smoothly across my face (probably my fault for not maintaining it), and would leave several long or flat hairs untouched. On top of that, the trimmer effectiveness seems to have diminished to barely useful. Enter the 790cc. This thing is a whole new experience. A quick, efficient, clean and close shave with just a single pass most of the time, three sensitivity settings and the foil head pivots and contours to the curves in the face. This leaves my face feeling smooth and actually makes me feel like I can't wait to use it again for my next shave. On top of that, the base cleaner/charger keeps the shaver clean and lubed up for the next use, but I only use it once about every 2 or 3 shaves. Better than letting it get grungy like my last shaver though. Figure it'd also help a little with my sensitive skin which likes to break out often. The only thing is I can't decide whether to leave the base cleaner/charger plugged in 24/7, or if I should just plug it in when I need it. I only have two plugs and we have other things that need plugging in there. Leaving it plugged in 24/7 also means that the shaver will always have a full charge. Makes me wonder if it will wear the battery out by being constantly charged. Overall though, excellent buy.

I bought this razor for my husband after doing a lot of research. My husband loves this razor. Cuts much better than the rotary razors. And he loves the self cleaning base! Very happy!

i was a Philips Norelco user for a long time... but when i switched to Braun Series 7 i am so impressed. Quiet motor, smooth and clean shave, easy to clean, and the battery last really long, like the easy touch cleaning station. I am really satisfied with series 7 (series 9 is too expensive i think) and i don't think i want to switch back to Philips..... sorry philips... it's been a great years with you!

I have been using this shaver for at least 5 years. It was time to get a new one. The shaver with the self cleaning make's shaving very easy. The price, howeve, is about twice as much as it should be. The shaver last a long time. Normally takes less than 5 minutes to shave and my face is smooth. As smooth as if it was a regular hand shave. I say if you have the money, get it.

I bought this to replace an aging Braun series 5 shaver. This one is even better than the 5 series. It is less noisy and seems much faster in terms of how long it takes to shave. The unit is lighter and the charge lasts a full week or more. Seems expensive, but when you think how long you keep a shaver and usage daily, it is well worth the money. I would highly recommend this unit!

My first experience with Braun was a 3 series that I used for good 5 years. Upgraded to a 5 series about 3 years ago and was an exciting change. It was due for a new blade so I did an on line search until I found an awesome deal at Walmart.com for top of the line 7 series. Best Buy matched the price and I bought it. I couldn't be any happier. This is so far the best shaver I've ever used. Stylish, Smooth and provides a clean cut shave. It's definitely worth the price. Don't hesitate, pay few more dollars and you won't be disappointed.

I have used Bruan shavers for years and purchase a new one every time a next generation shaver is released by them. They just keep getting better and the quality is exceptional. I have tried to find my wife an electric shaver that worked as well for her needs and after trying several brands that just never worked very well I just let her use mine and now she uses it all the time.
