I like a good cup of coffee, but never thought I was one to be lured into spending lots on coffee away from home. Until I did the math on my McDonald’s coffee habit- the gateway cup to Dunkin and Starbucks. They’re fast. It’s on my way to work. It’s a money pit for something I could bring from home, if I had the time.
It gives me back my time.
Including the beans and the milk (dairy, oat, almond, or soy), this fantastic machine STILL pays for itself in under three months. AND it gives me back my time. No more lines.
I’ve never been an espresso person, and have never had anything but a great automatic drip coffee maker. But the occasional nice vacation or romantic date with my beloved, and those memorable latte art topped coffees have added to that “someday” dream of maybe making the leap.
It’s fast, makes excellent cups in less time than it took me to brew a pot, no pods for landfills, and it’s easy to use. Oh, it’s a little fancy, so there’s that. Yet somehow, it’s really sturdy. Just fun.
After daily use since it was first plugged in, here’s what I’ve learned:
The new Breville Oracle Jet Espresso Machine is a top-tier appliance designed to bring professional-level coffee brewing into your home. It’s packed with features that allow you to have quality coffee house pours at your fingertips.
Here are the highlights:
Touchscreen Interface
The intuitive touchscreen makes navigating through the machine’s extensive features easy, guiding you step-by-step through the process of creating your favorite drinks. With just a few taps, you can choose between different coffee types, adjust settings, and even save customized profiles for future use.
Cold Brew Capabilities
A standout feature of the Oracle Jet is its ability to brew cold coffee, which is not common in most espresso machines. Whether you’re in the mood for an iced latte or cold brew coffee, this machine is designed to handle it all with precision.
Programmable Milk Steaming/Frothing
The machine offers customizable milk steaming and frothing, allowing you to dial in the perfect texture for your lattes, cappuccinos, or any milk-based drinks. You can adjust the temperature, texture, and froth level to suit your preferences, making it easy to replicate café-quality milk every time.
Customization Capabilities
One of the most significant advantages of the Oracle Jet is how much you can customize every element of your drink. From grind size, brewing time, and shot strength to milk temperature and texture, you have full control over how your coffee is brewed. This allows you to repeat favorites, or experiment with new flavors and strengths until you find the perfect cup.
Ease of Use
Despite its range of features, the Oracle Jet is designed to be incredibly user-friendly. The automated functions simplify the brewing process, so whether you’re a coffee novice or an enthusiast, you’ll find it straightforward to operate. The touchscreen interface helps guide you, and the machine’s quick brew time means no waiting around for your coffee. I’ve loved feeling like I have some input and control over what I make with this machine. Just enough automation to give me what I want, but a willingness to let me tweak it without breaking it.
Ease of Care
Maintaining the Oracle Jet is simple thanks to its smart alerts for descaling, cleaning, and refilling. The machine has a built-in grinder and tamping system, which reduces mess, and many of its components are removable and dishwasher-safe, making cleanup a breeze.
Final Thoughts
The Breville Oracle Jet Espresso Machine combines cutting-edge features with ease of use, offering full customization and even cold brew options, making it ideal for anyone serious about their coffee. It’s fast, efficient, and capable of producing drinks that rival your favorite café—without ever leaving home.
Is espresso a hobby for me? No. Is a great cup of coffee something important to me? Absolutely yes! And the Oracle Jet delivers.

Before I review Breville Oracle Jet, I want to add that I ordered it to a different address, but instead it was delivered to my home address, not happy about that, but I did not want tk take away stars from this amazing product for carelessness of Best Buy. Now on to Breville Oracle Jet, I purchased many years ago Breville Express, and was impressed by build quality and amazing coffee, despite it being still fully functional with no issues at all it was time to upgrade to next level up of an espresso machine. I’ve looked into many of super automatic machines, but most are fully plastic, and have too many smal parts that scream for issues ro come, plus many negative reviews and not thag cheap. Breville is not cheap, but it screams premium build, looks amazing, and has long history of amazing products, so when Breville released Oracle Jet, which can be updated with software, plus it is in my option about 95% super automatic, and that 5% that i have to do takes seconds. It offers lots of options of coffee drinks, which are already pre-set, but i can further make it my own and save it under new settings. It also guides you to making perfect coffee with grinding beans, and it sure does. Crema that comes out with coffee is yummy, and delicious on its own without needing to add milk product, but when making latte or a cappuccino, absolutely best tasting outcome. I remember days when I paid $8 for a cup of latte just because I couldn’t make one tasting that good with my Breville Express, but now what i can make at home tastes better than that $8 cup of latte. One would think that it takes a lot of time to make a drink, absolutely not, so quick, so delicious, I am just so extremely happy that I have this amazing machine at home. Every drink comes out perfect every single time. I made drinks for others, and makes me feel like I am a professional barista, because any drink they requested I perfected it with my Breville Oracle Jet. Price was hard to swallow, but if I calculated how much I spent previously on outside coffee drinks, this will profit on its own in no time at all. I have absolutely no regrets in buying this product.

I just recently bought this machine. So far it’s the best espresso machine I’ve ever had. super easy to use and the machine build is super high-quality. It has LED lights, which I find to be extremely useful. The water gets filled in the front, which is a huge upgrade from previous machines. Lastly, the quad core processor makes the espresso making process. machine flawless and smooth. I highly suggest buying this machine if you love espresso as much as I do by far the best machine yet for Breville.

At $2K one would certainly expect an espresso machine that does it all and I believe that would be a fairly accurate description of the Breville Oracle Jet.
This is the perfect machine for all levels of home baristas!
Upon setup and power-on, it walks the user through dialing in the grind settings to obtain the perfectly timed shot for the very best espresso experience.
Too course a grind, and it brews too quickly resulting in a flat tasting, under extracted sour espresso.
Too fine of a grind will result in a slow brew and a harsh , bitter, overly extracted espresso.
With the Oracle's brewing guidance, it keeps track of the pre-infusion time and overall brew time, then it suggests either a finer or courser grind to dial in the optimal shot of espresso!
This is a single boiler system, so extraction of espresso and frothing of milk/cream must be done separately and can be fully automated with one step following the next once the chosen recipe is executed. I prefer my milk froth to settle a bit, so I override the order and execute that step first, followed by the espresso brewing.
Speaking of recipes this thing is loaded and with a quick firmware update (once connected to Wi-Fi) it brings even more.
Espresso, Americano, latte, cappuccino, flat white, the list goes on and on. It even allows for cold brewing of many, lengthening out water to coffee exposure to compensate for the lower temperature water!
This is easy enough for my daughter & wife to use, however both are still intimidated by it (I'm working on getting them in on the fun).
It grinds, tamps, brews and froths as automatically as one would want. The only thing for the home barista to do is to select the recipe, ensure that the hopper has beans, the water tank is full, and that they move the 58mm portafilter from the grinder/tamper to the brew head!
We have used this almost daily since unboxing it two weeks ago.
It's expensive, but if one is to build their dream (non professional level) espresso bar, it's the perfect place to start!

Best espresso machine I have ever owned. I used to use an independent milk frother, but this machine is so easy use that it is easier and quicker to use the milk steam wand which gets the temperature perfect and the froth level perfect every time. Love the feature that gives constant advice about grind settings so it can continually adapt to different coffee bean textures. Seriously best espresso machine I have ever owned

Yes it’s a lot of money…but as soon as you take your first sip of espresso drink that you crafted at home you will never question this purchase again!! Hands down the smoothest and boldest espresso drinks I’ve ever tasted!!
When you unbox this beautiful machine you will see how well made it is. The touchscreen menu allows you to scroll through multiple drink choices from espressos, lattes to espresso martini’s!! You customize each of the drink options as well as create, save and name your new favorite drink!
The barista assistance tells you if your pour is too fast or too slow and tells what to adjust your grind to.
Click on the “I” at anytime for information about the drink you are making and the recipe to make it.
Connect your device to wi-fi for automatic updates. Click the settings gear to access maintenance with step by step instructions with pictures.
Customize your water temperature and type of milk you want to use and it micro froths it to 150 degrees of perfection!
From fresh grind beans at each cup to endless customizable drinks with perfect micro bubbles to your milk you will experience the best espresso ever ♥️

Makes esspresso better than most cafes out there! The setup was made simple with the step by step digital manual thats provided upon tirning it on! I love the amount of different coffee options it has tutorials and recipes for, and the milk heater and frother is awesome for hot lattes or cappuccinos. The only concern we have is that the portafilter press is automatic, and after about two weeks with it, the press wont stamp the grinded coffee anymore and we're unsure how to fix it or if it's broken completely. GREAT machine otherwise tho and good quality!

I’ll admit, it was intimidating at first. Going from a keurig to this magical machine. It was definitely worth the switch! The whole family loves it and I don’t regret the price tag after having owned it for a few months! Super easy to use. I love getting freshly roasted beans in the mail, too!

Beautiful machine it is quite large wide mostly but I did appreciate it having wheels so it’s easy to maneuver on your countertop. I also like being able to fill the water tank from the front so you don’t have to pull out the water tank. It does take some learning and would be great for people who don’t mind learning how to be at our home barista ultimately it was too much for me as I’m always in a rush and have a four year-old so I would need more time to perfect my coffee every morning. I did end up returning this and purchasing a miele cm 6160 and Jura z10 machine since they were more super automated.

My morning coffee has just been elevated tremendously. What I use to spend $7 for at a coffee place I now make from home. The Breville Oracle Jet is sophisticated and yet so easy to use. I highly recommend.

Had for a week and the unit would not turn on. Breville warrantied it and sent a new one, but took almost 10 days to arrive. They shipped it the slowest they could and sent a bag of beans for compensation.

I’m kidding, obviously this is an expensive appliance. However, I have owned a Breville Barista Pro for the last five years. I absolutely loved that espresso machine and have enjoyed the experience and taste of making my own coffee at home the way that I want to. But the Breville Oracle Jet is an even better choice. Ever since it was announced, I had been wanting to try it out to see if I liked it, and I absolutely love this machine. My mornings are so much easier. I wake up, start the machine, and it runs everything all on its own with little intervention. All you have to do is move the porta filter, pour your milk, and wipe it down when you’re done. The machine really does all the rest, from grinding, tamping, and steaming the milk. I’m much happier as now I feel like I can try all different kinds of coffee as I don’t have to do any calibration or waste so many beans just to make it taste good. The machine tells you what it thinks the grind size should be, and it’s pretty good at it.
I also found out that you get discounts on coffee up to $700 from Beanz.com when you register your espresso machine. The first two bags are free! Don’t ignore this! If you’re looking at it, you should seriously consider buying it.
Pros:
Great build, easy use, and café quality.
Cons:
Uses a lot of water (keep it full), and the price tag.
If you can afford it, you won’t regret it.

I feel for the price, there are better options. It is well built, good milk frother, however, be prepared for a learning curve. I found the machine to create a bit of a mess due to the grinds coming out. I didnt like the water tank in the back, way too much work to get out even though you can fill in the front (still want it to come out easier). and difficult to get a quality shot easily without the espresso tasting "sour". Good if you want to put in the work and time, if not get a super automatic, such as a Delonghi or Jura.

Upgraded from a De'longhi Magnifica XS. Used gift cards from work anniversary. This is more than I would spend on a coffee machine. Makes a fun celebration splurge gift that we use multiple times a day. Was pleasantly surprised with ease of setup and quality of machine. It's definitely a step up from our last machine in terms of being more automated, which I love. Highly recommend watching videos from Breville. I discovered handy tips. Overall, I'm happy with purchase and it feels like we'll get our money's worth.
PROS: You can personalize almost everything (foam, temp, shots), really thoughtful design with wheels for easy movement and drawer for accessories, makes great lattes, great foam on setting 8, easy to use after a brief ramp up period, materials its made of are easy to clean, comes with all the accessories, easy enough for my big kid to use, don't feel the need to have to go get a latte on the weekends
CONS: It goes through more beans than previous espresso machine, sometime I have to jiggle the beans in the hopper when it's pulling beans to grind, had to take the burr out to clean and had a very difficult time getting it back in

I purchased my Breville coffee machine in February 2025, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From the very first use, it has exceeded my expectations in every way.
The build quality is exceptional, with a sleek design that fits beautifully in my kitchen. The machine is easy to use yet offers a level of control that allows me to perfect my coffee just the way I like it. The espresso it produces is rich, full-bodied, and topped with a perfect crema. The steam wand is powerful, making it effortless to create velvety milk for lattes and cappuccinos.
One of the standout features is the precision and consistency. Every cup tastes just as good as the last, thanks to the machine’s advanced temperature control and customizable settings. Cleaning is also simple, making the overall experience even more enjoyable.
Breville has truly delivered a professional-grade coffee machine that transforms my daily routine into a barista-like experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality, reliability, and the perfect cup of coffee at home.

After much research, we replaced a broken De'longhi espresso machine with this one. There is little doubt that this is a very nice machine and generally works well. I would say however, that a machine of this caliber should be able to make a regular cup of coffee. It does have an Americano beverage but this is not quite the same. An Americano just makes an espresso and then adds hot water to it. That's different from passing all of the water through the grounds as in a regular cup of coffee. I have found a sweet spot by customizing an Americano using a larger shot size (a Lungo or a Lungo +) and a small amount of hot water (2oz is as small as you can go). The machine also lets you chose whether it does the water first or the espresso which is nice. If you do the water first, it preserves the crema and produces a delicious cup of coffee.
I have also found the touchpad to be a little quirky. Sometimes I have to repeatedly press a selection to get it to work. Also the beans don't always fall down through the hopper as one would like. When that happens, I tap on the hopper to dislodge the beans. Also, if there is not enough water in the machine to complete a beverage, it will stop and ask for more water. The problem is, after you add more water, it does not complete the beverage. The message goes away but the beverage is left in whatever state it was in when the water ran out. So you need to check the water level frequently. The machine also discharges water into the drip tray through its normal operation, not just a spill so you need to empty it often. And finally, the hot water discharge does not seem to be aimed very well. You really need to push the cup all the way to the back of the machine or it might splatter outside the cup.
To sum up, it is a great machine but I could not give it 5 stars due to the issues noted above and its very high price tag. If you do get one, do yourself a favor and buy the protection plan. There are hundreds of points of failure and we are currently sitting on a bricked De'Longhi espresso machine that cannot be repaired.
