I bought this camera to document our trip to Europe. I did not want a bulky camera to log around . This one had all the advantages and the technology for beautiful, unforgettable moments without the hassle of dragging a bag of equipment. The set up is super easy, the settings are easy too. My eye sight is not as good so I cannot read any instructions on the camera. I needed a camera that would do all the settings without a lot of hassle like sports, low light, artistic settings. Very pleased and would recommend.

I bought this camera because I am a one camera girl - no DLSR, don't want the hassle of lenses and the weight of hauling it around. So - I wanted something with a good zoom but also for landscapes and macros. I previously had a 280SX which I liked but had some issues with the lens cover. The 710 has the same style cover, but I went with it anyhow. Overall, I am very pleased with the shots I've been getting. Quite similar to the 280 (except the trash is now in the spot where the timer was - I've set that a couple times accidently). My only negative is that this model, like the 280, can sometimes struggle in auto mode to focus, but that can usually be rectified by zooming out then back in once it figures out what you want. Overall I am very pleased with the results and this camera!

Great little camera for my European vacation. Didn't feel like lugging the big one around and am pretty satisfied with the shots. Easy to use. I was lucky enough to be present for the Pope's weekly blessing from his window and the 30x zoom was incredible.

I chose this camera for the quality of zoom in a compact size camera. I want to take great photos while I hike but I do not want to be slowed down by a cumbersome camera. I am really enjoying the pictures I have captured with this camera and the ease of carrying it with me. I get clear shots of wildlife from great distances! I do struggle with keeping the picture steady in the long distance zooms but hopefully with time I will learn to control it more.

On a recent trip to Africa, I was the envy of all in my safari vehicle! I was able to take amazing professional looking zoom pictures without the hassle of heavy lenses! Several said they would be purchasing this camera for themselves and for gifts! I told them Best Buy is the place!

I like my iPhone camera but it has some limitations. I love my new Canon SX710 Camera! I love the great optic zoom on it. I think that I would have trouble holding it still enough if it had anymore zoom. I love it that I can wirelessly send a good photo to my smart phone that I can then text off to who ever I want! I have gotten a couple of great flying Eagle shots with this camera! I am a happy customer!

I love this camera! The wifi is easy to use and works amazing! I bought this for a trip down the coast and couldn't be happier! I absolutely love the setting where I take one picture and it automatically takes a group of 4-5 pictures more using filters, cropping etc. I would suggest getting a back up battery as my battery would be low by end of day.

I went to Best Buy to purchase a different camera....small but with less capabilities. The salesperson showed me this camera which happened to be an open box item. It fit the size I needed for a long trip to the UK and London. Easy to carry in my purse. The big surprise with this camera is its photo modes and wifi capabilities. I was able to send my photos by wifi to my iPad every evening we returned to the hotel. The multi-shot mode takes several shots at once....one is in normal mode and then there are several more with different effects. Really outstanding for amateur photography...although my hobby has been taking photos for a long time. I love this camera and had several people ask me which model I had because they were interested in it. And they were impressed with my photos.

I wanted a camera that was recommended to me by a professional birder. It was fairly easy to use but I ultimately decided that this camera was smaller, lighter, easier to carry and really met my needs. Its easy to use and takes a great picture. Many useful and easy to use settings.

This is a great little camera to take out and about. It is lightweight and fits in a pocket. It is designed nicely with a spot for your hand to hold the camera steady when taking photos. The dials are pretty much self-explanatory so there is no need to constantly check the instruction manual. Some people may not like the fact that you must manually raise the flash. However, I have not found this to be an issue. The camera takes great pictures in low light situations. It responds very efficiently, so it is easy to take multiple shots quickly. I used this camera for the first time on a recent trip to Disneyland and kept remarking that I was so glad that I had made this purchase. The quality of the photos was amazing. Colors were accurate and sharp and the subjects were clear and distinct. My pictures were beautiful!

He previously had an ELF from 10 yrs ago. We decided to upgrade and can't be happier. You'll see all the great comments about image quality but I wanted to emphasize two features. 1. Wifi transfer to my tablet is so convenient. I don't have to take the SD card out and can get the images uploaded to the cloud via my OneDrive and/or Dropbox account on my tablet. 2. Zoom is super impressive and I wanted to show actual pictures and have uploaded shots from Cabo showing a condo and a boat.

Camera exceeds expectations. Major pluses: 35X Zoom,, excellent resolution, easy operating system, small size. Minuses: only 230 images per battery charge, at f/3.7 low light performance is marginal. Overall it's definitely money's worth (cost $299) and clearly beats all competitors..

I actually bought 2 of these prior to a trip to Disney, I have 2 Canon DSLR's but honestly got tired of the weight and bulk these caused. During the day camera functions pretty awesome, used a lot of the sports mode for moving shots and its quick focus, no real complaints for day time use. Night time is a while different animal, flash on = lengthy focus times (don't try to point and shoot here). When you don't have to worry about time or making it 'quick' its ok, but the lag time and length of time from push to picture costs us some shots. In the camera's defense, I should have done more shooting with it prior to the trip, but I figured set to auto and go. 1080p video - Kills batteries within minutes. I put a newly charged battery, took about 4 minutes of video, using (on all photos and video)SanDisk Extreme Plus 90mb/s 32gb cards. from new to flashing battery dying in that time. I haven't tested it much to see if I could have adjusted for anything but review is on what I done so far. Overall happy with the purchase, only wish on my end is that I had done a little more testing. Defiantly worth the $259 price tag on each of the 2 I bought.

Takes good quality pictures, with 30 x optical zoom. It is compact and lightweight. It has many features although can get complicated need to study manual which can be work, but the basics are straightforward. Printed manual not complete need to download from website for full details.

I wanted a compact camera, with an excellent zoom, several modes to play around with including manual. In the past I have loved sunset or foliage modes. But cameras nowadays do not have them. However, this camera has a Live mode which is wonderful as you can select the degree of warming or darkening, etc. to get the desired effect and tones. I love this mode! The zoom is great for moon pictures, especially for a camera that fits in your pocket. Really love and recommend this camera :-)

I wanted a Nokia P600 but my budget couldn't do that. Plus I've read reviews on the poor Customer Service at Nokia now. So my 2nd choice was the Canon sx 530 after reading reviews on here about it. The Salesman at Best Buy told me the SX710 is actually a better camera for the money and easier to hold and carry. But I wanted the 50x zoom and this only has 30x so I was hesitant. After all when spending over $250.00 on a point and shoot camera you want the best you can get at the price you can afford. This salesman said after 30x zoom really all cameras without a tripod will start to get grainy or blurry. I haven't read reviews on this camera yet but I can tell you, after just one day I love it!! I'm still trying to figure out some of the settings but my photos for the most part were very clear. The one's that aren't are my fault for not knowing what setting I was on or not waiting for the focus. I zoomed in so close on a lamp in the park you can see the set screw! I wish I could upload more than 2 photos to show you the clarity. I'm totally loving this camera!
