I had two of these, Neither would complete setup using two different routers, one of them an Eero: Amazon owns both Eero and Chime. I spent several hours with each. There is absolutely zero support from chime: you need an email code that they never send just to contact their chat. AI told me that lack of Chime support and connectivity problems are common and ultimately unfixable by the end user. Amazon actively supports Ring: invest in that system instead of Blink.

Hello Exnscc,
Thank you for your feedback on the Blink Chime. I am truly sorry to hear about the frustrating experience you had with setup on both of your devices, especially after investing several hours trying to get them connected. That is certainly not the experience we want our customers to have, and I understand how disappointing that must have been.
Many setup issues with Blink devices can stem from Wi-Fi frequency compatibility, as Blink Chimes require a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and will not connect on a 5GHz band. If your router or Eero system is set to automatically assign frequencies, the device may struggle to connect during setup. Temporarily disabling the 5GHz band or creating a dedicated 2.4GHz network during the initial setup process can sometimes resolve this issue. Additionally, ensuring the Blink app is updated to the latest version, that Bluetooth is enabled on your phone during setup, and that the chime is within close range of the router during the pairing process can all improve the chances of a successful connection.
I also want to address the support difficulties you encountered. I am sorry you were unable to reach Blink's support team and that the email verification code was not delivered. For any Blink product concerns, Blink Customer Support is available 24/7 and can assist with troubleshooting, warranty claims, and replacement options. You can reach them at 1(781)332-5465, and they will be able to provide direct support for your Blink devices. I hope this information is helpful, and I apologize again for the inconvenience. Have a great day.
