Great value and The best expanded SSD card for your PS5.. Look at the picture I included of the read speed after benchmark 6545MB that’s amazing fast. I also included a pic of a top heatsink plate and it stands out better then thee original——thanks Corsair and bestbuy.

i bought the corsair gen 4 pcie m.2 ssd for playstation 5 during back school period. best buy was amazing and gave me the opportunity to participate in the back to school promotion and not pay a fee for the product. I'm really enjoying my newest playstation 5 and the whole experience with the MP600 PRO LPX.

I looked at alot of ssds for my ps5 and considered reviews from several sources as well as price and this is the one I landed on, works as intended.

A great option for upgrading your storage on your PS5. Games are getting bigger installs and a little extra storage goes a long way.

It worked for my ps5 disc edition, but id did not fit the digital edition so make sure first.

If you’re going to remove the heat sink you’re likely to strip the screws. I’ve been trying to unscrew them for the past 2 days with different techniques and I have not been able to remove the screws. The ssd is good I’ve tested it when I received it but I need to use a different heat sink for it for what I’m using it for. Unless you’re going to keep the heat sink on I would recommend this ssd for its value.

Besides more than doubling the total useable storage, this drive offers faster loading times when playing both PS5 and PS4 games than the original PS5 SSD. I wish that I had bought it sooner. You can play PS5 and PS4 games directly from the drive, and it's easy to transfer games back and forth if you ever want to for whatever reason. Some games, like Cyberpunk 2077 and Witcher 3, load several seconds faster when fast traveling, starting up the game, etc. from the MP600 LPX Pro than the PS5 drive. I've since transferred most games to my new Corsair to take advantage of the time savings. Install was incredibly easy, and having the heatsink included makes it even easier. Corsair has written and video instructions on their site (found with the included QR code or a quick web search), and Sony also has similar instructions. I now also know how to take off the sides in order to dust when needed.

The LPX modele (Low Profile) is excellent for installinto the PS5.. Comes with heat sink and everything you need.. Install was super easy and now I can download game sand not worry about space being available. Transfer speeds are great and games play perfect with drive. I highly recomend.

Note: This review is for its use in the PS5. --I do not recommend this for the ps5 by itself if you play 20+ games. I Mean AAA games. Because who would buy a ps5 just to play small games like Minecraft or Roblox anyways? --Who I recommend this for: Someone with no more than 15 games in your ps4 and ps5 collection combined. __________________Review________________ --Valuable tip at bottom of this review PROS: -- Easy to intall into PS5. -- Adds 1tb more storage to existing 600gb PS5 storage. -- Can play PS5 and PS4 games directly. -- PS4 games load faster when stored and played from this storage. For clarity, I mean faster than the ps4 hardware. CONS: --INTERNAL SSDs ARE EXPENSIVE. The 2tb ssd version gives a slight discount. They skip 3tb ssd and the 4tb option is like $350 - $500. -- NOT ENOUGH STORAGE. PS5 needs at least 4tb. Cyberpunk 2077 is ~80gb, COD is ~100-200gb. Im already out of space. If you absolutely MUST have internal ONLY. Dont get this, save money and get 2tb option at least. Its still not enough but this 1tb will fill up fast, trust me. --FILLS UP FAST. You will dread waiting 5hours+ to download and play Cyberpunk 2077 and deciding which games to delete with other family members. -- It will discourage trying other games. Deleting a big game you're enjoying just to download a big game to try out, just to realise you dont like it so you re-download the previous game in annoying and time consuming. Tip: If you're trying to save money while getting enough fast storage, I bought this item ($99) and the Playstation 4tb external drive($89). That gets you 5tb of storage for $200. I Highly recommend this. Hold your games on the slower 4tb hdd and tranfering them to this is much faster than downloading.

Got this as a cheaper option compared to the Sony certified product, Good for its value 1 Terabyte of storage holds all my games and lets me play my games off the storage expansion. Already comes with heatsink so its just an easy installation process right out the box.

my new Ps5 . I wanted to find out the reported differences of read/ write / performance for a Corsair vs Firecuda. I installed one at a time on my Ps5 . The Firecuda read at 7100 while the Corsair at 6600. If you want to pay more for speed that's barely noticeable , then go ahead. The current price difference is better than in the past. (Firecuda was a lot more for the near same speed and identical size) Bottom line is that this drive , Corsair , worked out great . Reports of people only getting 5500 and a belief this drive won't get "decent" speeds is a joke. It's a bummer that they only got 5500 , but there are plenty of people that have gotten a lot more when installed in identical devices.

Got it after good comments and review on internet and it had a decent discount on my purchase date. With PS+ membership i neeeded much more storage on my PS5 and this SSD is a perfect solution. Very easy to install and has really good performance

This thing changed my perception of console games. I switched Horizon: Forbidden Wests onto it, despite the PS5s quick load times. Wow, the game loaded in what felt like 5 seconds. I couldn't believe it, especially because I was waiting a minute on a PS4 slim over a week ago. It's amazing how fast these new SSDs are. It brings me back to my cartridge days, practically, and makes everything more fun. I'm sure developers will find a way to bog things down a little, but this install, which was verrry easy btw, makes things very enjoyable. The only thing is the speed wasn't quite as advertised; not sure why. Into the 6800's, but not into the 7000's. Still, noticeably faster than the console's regular SSD.
