Beautiful sound!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought these for a few reasons. 1. My Astro a40’s mixamp stopped working & Astro wouldn’t take it for repair because it was out of warranty. I’d been eyeing these a while So rather than spend $130-150 on a mixamp I put in the extra $$ for the Corsair. 2. I have a lot of Corsair/Elgato products for my streaming setup & PC. 3. The SE’s are gorgeous! They look great, work great with icue & sound great w 7.1 surround. I use a blue yeti as my main mic, but I tested this one & it’s very clear. Unlike the Astro’s which for the price, I shouldn’t have so much distortion in my headset mic, overall, if you’re looking for a headset in this price point, you’re getting a beautiful, well made, quality product that is on par with the best. I highly recommend.

Huge upgrade to Corsair Void Pro
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These actually don't suck. Corsair virtuoso special edition wireless and wired (usb or 3.5mm). I've tried usb and wireless. There is a small difference in loudness between battery powered and usb. The usb is about 10 to 20% LOUDER however not as clean or clear as in battery. It appears to be the bass levels are higher on usb vs battery power. The surround sound actual works too. Never had a headset that it was as advertised until now. Usually it's a gimmick that hardly works for me personally. (Logitech g35, razer kraken te, void pro) I was able to very easily determine footsteps directions and pre fire or pre aim enemies in FPS games. It's design makes the ear clamping force minimal because the weight is evenly divided across head contact. It does however kind of annoy me that the head band material is a bit stiff. Not so comfortable for the top of your head, which is why I deducted 1 star off this review. That's a pretty big problem during long sessions wearing this. It makes my head hurt. I am trying to pad it with my own cushioning materials, will update review later if it works. The lesser clamping around the ears makes wider / thicker frame glasses more manageable to wear while using the virtuoso. The earcups are very comfortable with glasses BUT the space between the felt over the drivers and my ears is far too small. Not a deal breaker for me since my ears bump every driver of all headsets I've ever owned but these are especially thin amount of space. This is the other reason I deducted 1 star. The mic is God tier. Most clear mic I've ever owned. It sounds very natural. Higher quality than my Audio Technica ATR2500, louder and more clear than my Corsair void pro mic, and worlds better than my Razer Kraken TE mic. The detail of sound layers is also easy better than the Corsair void Pro. You hear more noise at one time with no clipping or cut off or distortion. Usually on FPS games with my voids, the sound distorts or cuts off into crackle during lots of big fights. The virtuoso clearly separated every sound so I could know what it was. I could even hear the shotgun shells clinking around in my load gate each time they're shoved in. Distant sound queues also work just as well as closer ones. Everything is so clear. This gives you a massive advantage in games. They sound incredibly clear for music too $209.99.... Never spent this much on a gaming headset in my life. I usually stopped around $100 but after years of mediocracy and products w/ false advertising, I gave this a shot after careful research of "best gaming headset for glasses wearers". I'm never going to buy or use anything less than these again.

Not bad!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from a corded gaming headset, the Corsair Virtuoso wireless gaming headset is a welcome upgrade. I’ve had great experiences with the Corsair brand so I figured I try their new high-end headset. Out of the box, the first thing you’ll notice is the premium build quality. The headset doesn’t look or feel cheap. This is also one of the best sounding gaming headset out of all the one’s I’ve owned. I got this on sale for $140 (white model) which is a great price. Initially, I had trouble with the volume being low while connected on the PS4 pro even after maxing it out. But after updating the firmware on both the headset and the wireless dongle, it resolved that issue. After the update, there were 2 instances that the headset turned off while wirelessly connected to the PS4 pro while gaming. I resolved it by taking the headset off my head and putting it back on. I’m guessing it’s the auto sleep function that’s abnormally kicking in when it shouldn’t be. However, I didn’t have this issue when I had the headset wired to the PS4 pro. But I’m sure Corsair will come out with an update for this issue. Lastly, I’d like to mention that this headset has its own proprietary wireless dongle. Meaning, it doesn’t connect via Bluetooth but thru RF to the wireless dongle it comes with. I bought this strictly for gaming so it doesn’t bother me. Overall, it’s a great wireless headset! It isn’t perfect but it has all the functions that I like and has my approval as far as sound quality goes.

Dont think just buy
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent a week researching audiophile level headphones and gaming headsets. This headset is the best of both worlds. I have had a few senhieser and audio technica headphones and these blow them out of the water in terms of clarity. Plus you can eq them with icue if you are on pc. A few things to note are For me I bought different ear cups becouse the ones on it were not deep enough for me. Take a bit of finesse and a blow dryer but they are used replaceable. Use the bass boost profile in icue In short, buy it! You wont regret it

good with MAJOR tuning, but not worth the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i got these on sale for $139. I looked around and i thought that I found the perfect headset for gaming, music, and YouTube etc.. ill start off with the build of it. AMAZING it feels super quality and there's metal on the headphones, but it doesn't make it too heavy. my last pair of corsair headphones, the earcup came off with no way to re attach or attach a new one, but these are replaceable which is nice. which leads to my second point. The earcups, first out of the box they felt like Styrofoam and they crunched when i put them on, but with some time that went away. also the earcups are VERY shallow and my ears are constantly rubbing against the sides of the headphones which makes these uncomfortable to wear for a long time. but a simple solution to this would be to buy thicker replacement pads. though for 139 let alone 179 not on sale i think this should come with better pads. Now to sound, these sound AWFUL straight out of the box. which is why you NEED the ICUE software. Even in the ICUE software the presets are also awful. i had to make my own Eq preset and after 2 hours of making this preset i found a very good preset which is good for gaming, music, and YouTube etc.. Still i think for 139 these should come with at LEAST decent sound quality out of the box. my old HS60 pros had WAY better sound quality out of the box. though with the preset it sounds very good and ill post a picture if anyone wants to try mine.(I listen to rock, metal, punk, and alt. rock so the sound may not be as good for you depending on your genre of music) Other things...the headset doesn't have an off button which i think is weird but its not too much off an issue I guess because you can sett it to sleep after 10 min. of idling. the wireless range says that its 60 feet, but the sound quality drops significantly after just 10 ft. and it completely loses sound after just 20-25 ft.(this may be for me because of my walls.) I didn't notice a difference between wired and wireless which is good. The battery life is ok, i had to charge it 4 hrs after i got it and you can charge while your using it, but it protrudes into your shoulder and its just very uncomfortable. both the charging cable and the aux are decently made but their not very long. Overall: If you're willing to put the time in to fix the Eq settings and get new earpads then i feel that these are a good choice. But if you're not then i wouldn't recommended this to you. I left all the peels on because I'm still deciding if im going to return it.

No, I would not recommend this to a friendBrand response from Corsair
Posted .Hi JComGames,
Thanks for your feedback! We tried to make EQ profiles that would appeal to the most users, but sound can be very subjective, which is why you can make your own EQ! The power off is the Wireless slider moved to the USB position, this puts into into an off state unless you have it connected by cable.

One More product to my Corsair Ecosystem
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Product it is a described, you need to do couple of changes for the sound. Sometimes the dongle start blinking red. I used it wireless for games with friends and Wired for work. The Connection USB-C is hard to unplugged from the headset, feeling kind of scared to break the connector but i think i can find some solutions. If you are into Corsair ecosystem this should be a good add. I like corsair products except mouse. Overall Good product

They feel more than just a gaming headset.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is perfect for those making an all white set up or for anyone who likes the white ones. I honestly love them and the way they are built. Only con to them is that they can make your ears sore after a while, but that is all dependent on the individual itself. Other than that, the sound, base, mic and rgb likes are perfect. Definitely recommend if you have the money to spend on them. You can see them on my set up to the top left of the monitor.

Sturdy Headset, but some drawbacks
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.[Pros:] Great sound quality Wireless/wired connection Scroll wheel located on right muff allows you to adjust headset volume (only for wireless connection) Very sturdy metal and faux leather design. Removable mic Toggle switch allows you to switch modes between wireless and wired connection Wireless mode is compatible with Playstation and PC Can adjust RGB settings via app on PC Comes with a custom USB type C cord for charging [Cons:] Can only be used on Xbox and switch by using wired connection, Mic does not have great flexibility Common for one ear muff to completely cut out requiring you to reset the mic Sound quality quality is great but not the best compared to some headsets at the same price point, like the LucidGaming LS35X. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- I bought this headset after seeing them in store. The build is sturdy, the mic works great and it comes with a small USB receiver so that the headset can be used wirelessly. It even sports some RGB on the logos located on both left/right ear muffs, adding to the sleek design. Overall nothing about this headset is made cheaply. I do some gaming on my PC but primarily I make content for YouTube and Facebook in the form of videos, so I needed a good headset to use while video editing. I personally love this headset and wouldn't switch primarily for how sturdy this headset feels.

Aesthetically pleasing, above average performance.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While these headphones perform overall above average in every category, I don’t think they’re worth the 200+$ you’re going to be dishing out for them. My personal favorite thing about these is the microphone, it is impressive, it outperforms every other microphone I’ve had on a headset. The audio quality is great while you’re connected via usb or 3.5mm jack, if you’re using wireless Bluetooth, they sound pretty awful, even after you’ve fiddled with the equalizer settings in icue. I even tried Dolby atmos, and even then, they sounded ok, I wasn’t impressed. I have a pair of classic turtle beach headphones that blow these out of the water, and those were only a fraction of the price. The rgb is a nice touch, but, to me, it’s just more battery wasted, and as it is, these headphones have a pretty short battery life compared to others in its price point. While the headphones are structurally sturdy, and aesthetically pleasing to look at, they are really uncomfortable after an hour or so. They will feel like a clamp on your head, and might even induce a headache for those sensitive to the weight. So, consider these things before you buy, are you looking for a luxurious pair of headphones that perform above average and don’t mind the cons listed above? Go right ahead!

Great Overall
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had my headset for about 1.5 years. Just now I started having some wireless issues, seems to cut my mic out and sound as well, so I have to have it wired. Most recently, the cushioning/pad seams became undone. Although these are issues now, there is some user error; I put them on with my hair wet and I let it die often. I wasn't horrible, but I also paid least attention to it.

Great deal
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not my first headset purchase but definitely the best so far. Corsair Virtuoso
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset has a premium quality build, loved that the mic was detachable , loved the materials it was built with , only a few cons but rather big ones for me which ultimately led me to return them ... they may not be deal breakers for u ! 1. Faux leather ear cups which can get sweaty because of the material 2. Non blutooth - this was highly disappointing because i want to connect to my cell phone or iPad to watch and listen to movies 3. the sound wasn't near asoud as I like and 4. ear cup shape- as far as I know noone has round or circular ears and yet these are both leaving an awkward fit but other than these three things this was a decent headset and frankly the best looking one i felt.

Great sounding headphones!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoy the Virtuoso headphones by CORSAIR. They are really comfortable to wear. The pivot movements are very sturdy unlike the Arctis 5 headphones I previously had. If you compare mic quality with the Arctis 5, then the Arctis 5 will win. I am not sure if it is because the headphones are wireless or if the mic is just not good enough. Don't get me wrong, you can still hear yourself but it will sound a little, just a tiny bit, distorted compared to the life-like transparency of the Arctis 5. Overall, great headphones and the RGB is just a bonus. (Spartial sound was also an unexpected bonus. Which sounds really cool. I did not have this feature on my Arctis 5.)
