I was surprised how comfortable this headset was when I tried the "on display" item. I purchased this headset to replace my Razer Kraken 7.1 USB headset... While I did enjoy the old headset, it was already coming apart. I did have that old headset for quite some time. This headset is wireless and comes with a USB charging cable. It has RGB LEDs. The first unit I purchased came with a dead mic, I was able to hear out of the headset but in chat others could not hear me speak.

Great Headset with Room for Improvement

So I went ahead and bought this headset on a whim, my Logitech G930's had finally died after serving me well for a very long time. I was in the market for something that was from a trusted brand, was very well received, was wireless, had a built in mic, was comfortable, and also looked good. I had been looking for a new headset for a few weeks and I was considering the not yet released Logitech G933, the HyperX Cloud II, and of course the Corsair VOID headset. I won't go over the specifics of the other mentioned headsets as I have settled on this one otherwise I wouldn't be needing to write this review. Pros: The best things that I can say about this headset would have to center around the battery life and audio quality. The battery is rated for around 16 hours I believe of non stop gaming. I can confirm that the battery life is at least 16 hours as I have gone for days with the headset on a single charge and the indicator LED's on the boom mic as well as an audible tone allow me to know when the battery is running low. My only complaint about the battery warning indicator is that the LED's that Corsair claims are in your peripheral vision are not completely visible as the boom is skewed slightly making the LED's hard to see unless you strain your eyes to look at them. As for the sound quality, well it's pretty good for 50 mm drivers, probably some of the best in its class of headsets. The audio range is good and there is deep bass and warm highs. I really do like the fact that this has simulated 7.1 channel Dolby Surround but since it is simulated there can be some issues in games with sounds from behind not being audible. Cons: Two of my biggest gripes of this headset are going to centered around the CUE software and the power port, now you're probably gonna say, "The power port, really? Surely you could have found another flaw." and you would be right but that is what I will focus on. As for Corsair's CUE software there are a few quirks that it has with the driver as well as the lighting profiles. While the overall design and usefulness of the software is great I found that the lighting profile felt to be incomplete. When the CUE software is not running there is a constant rainbow on the headset that I really like, however CUE does not allow that and instead the "Rainbow Pulse" setting is just 7 preset colors that fade in and out repeatedly, very annoying. Aside from this the color profiling is very robust and can be used to match lighting themes on other Corsair RGB products. My other issue with CUE is the driver itself, my issue is that with prolonged use I found that the CUE audio driver conflicted with my Realtek ALC1150 audio drivers on my ASUS motherboard which then cause the Windows Audio Device Graph.exe to skyrocket my CPU usage while idling and in games. It constantly made my overclocked computer turn into a snail and I was very displeased with this. I think Corsair could have taken more time to make sure that issues like this would not have happened. The other issue I had was concerning the feeling of fragility of the power port for when I need to charge this. When you plug in any USB cable to a device for the first time it will always feel a bit stiff but it soon loosens up after a few uses, however with the VOID I found myself exerting unnecessary amounts of force to remove the cable from the port after charging, even now after almost 3 weeks of extended use. I feel that with all of this unnecessary force I am going to break the port as I have already damaged the cable that came with it. If Corsair could refine this in maybe a revision 2.0 that would be great. Overview: While there are a lot of pros and cons that can be listed off, this is still a great headset for the money whether you spring to the SE Yellow Jacket like I did of if you would rather have the black ones without all of the annoying yellow. The headset has great wireless range and I am able to freely walk about my house while listening to music and not have to be tethered to my desktop by a cable. The sound is very loud and it comes across very clear as long as there are no obstructions and there is no interference from other 2.4 GHz band devices. The headset also feels very durable and seems to have more heft to it compared to my G930's making me feel a little more comfortable with its construction. The headband and earcups have memory foam cushions that are upholstered by fabric rather than simulated leather which makes them much more comfortable and much harder to sweat in. The mic is sub par, it's what you would expect from any standard headset mic that is going to be using VOIP software to control it. It's great for gaming but if you are into streaming or creating YouTube or Vessel content then I would invest in an actual desktop microphone with a pop filter. Overall this headset is great for the money and I have had very few issues with it so far, this is one purchase that I can say with confidence is money well spent.

Perfect set of headphones for those that dont want to Spend over 100 bucks. Lasts for about 12-15 hours of normal use. Great Wireless range. Full sound spectrum. I've had logitech and razer headphones and these provide just about the same level of sounds quality and comfort.

The Corsair Void is one of the best gaming headsets I've ever owned. The RGB lighting is somewhat pointless (I'm a sucker for anything RGB but unless you're a streamer or you want to show off to your friends on a Skype call, it's pointless). The sound quality is good, obviously not as good as some music headphones but above your average headset. The mic quality is rather good and the wireless range is much wider than I thought it would be. It lasts about 6 hours if you really crank up the RGB lighting but if you turn it off it lasts well beyond that. The program that Corsair has on their website (yes, you have to download it, there's no program that comes with it) is easy to use and has a couple options for lighting and sound tinkering. As for cons? You cannot use it while it is charging, it has to charge using a usb connector, a decent one is provided. Sometimes in long sessions, it tends to heat up but this is never unbearable and it could just be my small apartment. This is a fantastic headset for any gamer or someone who spends a fair bit of time on their computer.

I have never owned wireless headphones before and I was in the market for a new pair of headphones for gaming. Decided to pick these up while they were on sale and turned out it was a good decision to buy. They're very comfortable to wear and they fit perfectly over my head. Sound is excellent and it gets even better with the audio program you can download for these to adjust the headphone's settings. Definitely recommend getting these.

These headphones fit very comfortably but I found them a little too loose with a tendency to start sliding after awhile. The sound is great and has multiple settings and sound options via the Corsair app for windows. The mic however is terrible if you are looking for any type of clarity, it works for simple voicechat but anything more is a no go. Another great plus is that they work on PS4.

Good Gaming Headset \ Not true 7.1 Surround

I bought this headset thinking I would be blown away by the audio. I will say that I am not impressed with the quality. I used the Dolby surround that is in the CUE (Corsair Utility Engine) and it made it sound like I was listening to something in the shower! When you use the headset with the surround off it sounds pretty good! Plus the mic is of good quality. I use it for streaming on Twitch, plus for my videos on YouTube. I think it sounds pretty good. But I'm not a true audiophile. The true winner for this headset is the earcuffs and the head band. They are made of some really comfortable memory foam. I wear these for hours and they feel amazing resting on my head! There could be a better headset out there, but for the price this headset is not bad at all, and the quality without the surround is pretty good. Just don't fall for the true 7.1 surround because it doesn't sound good at all.

Yup, it's a bit too yellow, but other than that this is a great budget friendly wireless headset. Pick this guy up on sale (the new Pros are coming out and have a better mic, so these will be on sale a lot) and don't look back. Pros: Comfortable Stereo sound output is solid No noticeable compression artifacts due to the 2.4ghz wireless Solid metal construction, seriously..this thing is built like a tank Battery life is good at 15 hours or longer with LEDs shut off Oh, you can shut off the LEDs! Cons: A little heavy, but still has enough padding to mitigate this Dobly 7.1 is a little...odd? My Logitech G430s had better sounding virtual surround options Yellow..is...meh Mic could be better, but it's not bad at all unlike some reviewers are stating (maybe firmware/software has fixed this along the way)

I love these Corsair headphones. They don't eliminate all outside sound, which is what I enjoy in gaming headphones, because they allow me to listen to my roommate. The RGB lighting is really neat, and I have it linked to my keyboard. The mic quality is great. If you enjoy good sound, very comfortable headphones, and having some background noise, these headphones are 10/10.

Overall, I've had a pleasant experience with this headset. It is comfortable, and doesn't clamp onto your head too badly, and most importantly, sounds good. The only downside of this headset is its mic. The sound going through the mic is below average, a NOTICIBLE difference from my previous 20 dollar wired mic.

Most gamers play for a few hours in a session so having good headphones is extremely important. These headphones haven't given me headaches because they are lighter than others I've had. They sound great. My only negative is that they don't keep a charge for very long and need to be charged every day.

I really enjoy this headset. Ever since I bought it I noticed the sound quality and REALLY comfortable feel the headset has. I game nonstop when i get home for upwards of 4 hours a day and this thing never gives out on me. The battery life is long and charges quickly. My only complaint is that I have to somewhat frequently re-pair the headset with the USB dongle, because for reasons unbeknownst to me this headset likes to stop working together with my computer a lot. the only thing keeping it from being perfect really. I would recommend buying this headset and if you're feeling generous you could purchase this yellowJacket special edition to support Cosair, otherwise the normal headset works the exact same way.

So I bought this headset knowing the software and firmware issues it was having. The build quality is solid and the battery lasts amazingly long (over 6 hours and counting). Unfortunately, the software backing it up is not so great. The headset has a problem with not being recognized at all in Discord's windows application (as a workaround, the browser version still works). When using the browser version, sometimes the mic quality randomly degrades and I have to restart the client to fix it. Maybe it's because the headset is still fairly new into the market, but Corsair has at least acknowledged the problems and are actively working on updating the firmware and CUE software. If you can get past the firmware/software problems then I would recommend this headset. Otherwise, I would give it a bit more time for Corsair to sort out the issues before buying.

This is the most comfortable headset I've ever owned. Easy to hook up, easy to use, great sound quality. I used to stick to Turtle Beach, but this headset has changed my mind. I only wish it worked with my gaming consoles. It does have limited functionality with PS4, but the volume is at a set level, and can not be altered.

Great sounding headset and the software for it allows you to customize it to your preferred EQ settings. I immediately turned off the RGB because I don't care about it and to save battery. Battery life is pretty good although charging it to full takes a while to finish. Feels comfortable and it looks nice. It also works on PS4 wireless but without surround sound and the headset controls don't work. My problems with it are the earcups being loose; it swivels about when I pick it up, and the earcup cover's stitching got undone when it got poked by my glasses. Overall, it is excellent and worth the price.

I bought this primarily as a PC headset. For that I am EXTREMELY pleased. The drivers and software work great with little bloat. The buttons, volume wheel, etc are great. It is also the most comfortable headset I've used in quite a long time. I highly recommend it. For PS4, the headset MIC has great quality but the volume on the speakers is much too low. Even with the PS4 software setting the volume higher, it still isn't enough. I feel like this is more of a PS4 issue. This is a problem on a plethora of third party usb dongle headsets that makes it seem intentional. The headset is obviously better quality than the Silver/Gold/Platinum headsets, but is hindered by the software.

I like these wireless headphones. They were pretty much plug and play with Windows 10, have good full sound for gaming and are relatively comfortable for extended use. Work well with Skype too! And if you like colorful lights, then the changing color of the logo on the earcup with be to your liking.
