Simply one of the greatest anime ever created. For lovers of supernatural and detective stories, the cat and mouse game of intellect between Light and forces of justice against him is always intense. Ending portion has some fans divided but still great.

I heard good things about this anime and saw it ranked very high on many top anime of all time lists. This did not disappoint one bit. It's not a long series and binge watch worthy. The tone is rather dark.

This show just grabs you, and never let's you go. It's like the ultimate cat and mouse narrative. Mystery, suspense, all of that. Watch the first 5 episodes, tell me you're not gonna wanna finish this show and look me IN MY FACE!

Have been into anime for years... Finally they have put the series all together. I found this series to be one of the all time anime greats! Action, Morality, Detective Adventure and Supernatural all wrapped up in one great package.

A school kid finds a note book with the ability to kill people by how the author says they should. Watch as he attempts to take over the world ridding criminals with this ability and those who are out to stop him.

Deathnote is one of those Anime classics that everyone should own because it deals with issues of life and death and brings to life ancient Japanese culture and folklore by modernizing the stories of old.

I love this anime series. It's fascinating to watch. I love this edition's packaging and the extras are cool, but I'm not that into extras. Also, I got it at an extra discount because of price match.

I am very excited to have this in my anime collection. This is one of the best drawn and acted suspense thrillers for it's time. A must have.

I couldn't pass up on a good deal with this Blu-ray. At the time I also thought it contained more special features than my DVD copy, but later I found out it was the same.

I really enjoyed the series but decided to get it on DVD for my husband because he's more of a fan than I am. It has a good story line with twist.

This anime will have you thinking all the way through it and it's got great characters, plot and plot twist. You will love it and Best Buy has a good selection of anime in store.

Wonderful series if it wasn't so long winded. They spend half the series having plans within plans within plans. And for what? Build characters that were ultimately pointless. the character were bland. The plot was really interesting until a certain point. (You all know when). However, the premise was good, but delivered poorly. Don't get me wrong, I loved it. But the amount of fandom it gets is baffling.

This is not like other anime. There is not a lot of action. It is a story about death, morality, and makes you question what being a hero means... what is murder...

If you like supernatural anime where the main character is holding people's lives in his literal hands then stir in a dash of Dexter and you have a show.

This is one of my all-time favorite Anime series. Really a great story. It's a great game of cat and mouse between Light and L. Love it! A must by for anime fans

This anime series is a great buy truly entertaining and addicting this story will have you on the edge of your seat.

Even though this is a short series like cowboy bebop this series keeps you on the edge of your seat of you like a thriller then this is for you.

Makes me want to quit school in order to watch this type of stuff more often. It's a great series. Happy with purchase.
