Definitive Technology speakers are always worth their weight in value and quality, and boy are they heavy. Last set carried me for 12 years and that was pushing them hard and constant. I had concerns switching to a newer different model but all that went away once they arrived. The design is much different then my original ones but i can perch my atmos speakers right on top without having to upgrade just yet. Quality, quality, quality. Love em.

Definitive Technology has done it again with DM70s! I consider myself to be an advanced intermediate level Home Theater enthusiast and these speakers deliver on all levels, bass, mids, and highs. Prior to upgrading to the DM70s I owned the BP8020s, great speakers but comparing them to the DM70s is an apples and oranges comparison. The build quality has been greatly improved. The lack of LFE input isn’t missed and is an enhancement because this design approach opens the door to using 4 DM70s or more in a system with full-range audio at all channels! They definitely hit deep as u can see from my MultEQ-X measurements, without applying my room target curve these speakers play down in the 20Hz range. These speakers can easily be utilized without a dedicated sub but adding one definitely will take your system to the next level. I recommend 2 subs if you have the space to maintain balance. The highs are very articulate but not overly bright and the height of the mid/highs module is optimal for listening in a seated position. If you are searching for your next set of towers look no further, you will not be disappointed with this purchase.

These are great speakers. We replaced an older Def Tech model, BP-8060ST, and have not been disappointed.

wow what a big upgrade from my bp8060 & bp9060 speakers. The DM70s sound quality are amazing. I have the DM70 paired with def tech center speaker DM30 and Marantz cinema 40 and Emotiva xpa-3. I'm still breaking in the DM70s and I'm sure they will sound better over time.

Theses speakers are amazing, clear, and increadiby power. I have 18’ high ceilings and they fully fill this room with clean arrays of base. I highly recommend these speakers

Product sounded great in the store listening area. Unfortunately, when it arrived it was locked into an amplifier protection mode with the blinking red light. I called the manufacturer and they said "It's not supposed to be doing that". lol The red light should be reset with a hard power cycle by unplugging the speaker waiting five minutes. one of them never stopped blinking red. The speaker on the left would also alternate blinking red and could be reset. I was told that one of the amplifiers had failed. It was failed before even arriving at my house because I never powered any devices into it. $1399 (each) plus taxes on 'sale'. Do your research on the brand history. I was rushed into buying these because of the sale ending that same day. The sale came right back after a few days at regular price. I would personally be terrified to hold on to this product beyond the warranty period.

Obsessed with these speakers. Came fron the svs ultra line and I couldn’t be happier! To me they blow svs out if the water. Bass, midrange and detail are incredible 10/10, for the first time I have a smile from ear to ear listening to my setup.
