I bought these to complete me Def Tech surround system for my home theater. I was going to use these for the rear surrounds, but upon receipt and taking out of the box, these things are HUGE! I know others have mentioned it, but they really are huge speakers for using as rear surrounds. They'd be better used in a 5.1 system rather than a 7.1 system, as they visually and physically took up too much space in the room to justify keeping. I had to return due to my room not being able to support rear speakers so large. Great build quality, great looking, just too big for my setup.

The speakers sound phenomenal. I used 14 gage wire, I recommendnothing higher. I have these as left and right surrounds. Placement for these speakers is left or right surround middle of the room or rear left and right corners of the room.

Upgraded from my Klipsch bi-polars.. Wonderful sound. Couldn't use the banana plugs to connect the cables to the speakers 'cos they were making the speakers pop out of the wall. These are pretty big & heavy for a surround, make sure you fasten the wall screws so hold them when you hang.

When my old surround speakers started to sound like something was broken, I did my research and found out about these speakers. I glad I bought them. The bipolar design fills up my room, and the sound is amazing!! I very happy with this purchase.

amazing sound. it works great with my Denon Receiver; i purchased the Towers and the 5.1 Definitive package. Its like you are in a theater. The only thing to worry about is where do you put it. It weighs about 15 to 20 pounds so you may have to make a corner bookshelf for it. I couldn't find a bookshelf speaker holder that could hold it.

I have only used regular bookshelves as my rear speakers I decided to go with a full Definitive Technology set and the two-way rears are absolutely phenomenal. Having sound bouncing from the left and right of me with such Clarity and presents is astounding! I'm thinking about picking up another set for extra surround rears! they are absolutely amazing!

Definitive is an excellent product series for home audio. I changed out my entire Energy home theater system to all Definitive speakers. I guarantee I won't look back at that decision.They sound and perform exactly as they are described . Very satisfied customer.

I purchased the Def Tech fronts and rears and wanted to a pair of surround speakers. Originally I had a spare pair of Polk speakers that I used but decided to go all Def Tech and get these. The sound quality is as good or better than the Polk and best of all my wife likes the looks of the speakers.

These sound fantastic. These compliment the CS9060 and 9080ST currently in my home theatre. Picked them up with help of a price match. Considering the cost it’d be nice if Def Tech would include wall mounting hardware.

I bought these surround speakers not expecting them stand out with my other speakers. But boy was I wrong. These speakers hold their own with my other speakers as well as blend in with them. I was pleasantly impressed.

Used these to replace two standard surround (Energy) back speakers. We noticed a difference in the highs and lows right away. It really does sound like we added four speakers instead of two.

I purchased the 8080 line of speakers for our theatre room. At the time these speakers were out of stock or discontinued. I am sure they have some improvements, because now they are called 9080's. Best Buy was great and let me exchange the 8040 line since at the time no stores had these.

I've owned DT products for about 5 years now and they are aging like fine wine. This speaker completed my 7.2 setup and I couldn't be happier. Great tone and detail accompanied by a sophisticated look.

These speakers are excellent. They easily handle surround sound and add that little something extra to the home theater experience. I highly recommend them.

Love these things. They are kinda big but that's what I wanted. Wish the mount was different but it works just fine. Would definitely recommend them.

Love these speakers! Sound great even with vaulted ceilings and open floor plan. Speakers easily supported with drywall anchor and a screw.

Started with the promonitor 800’s and they sounded pretty good... upgraded to the SR9080’s and they sound great! Can’t go wrong with sound or price when on sale.
