Good price for good build
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Get one for my kid as her first gaming rig and she loves it. Surprisingly well build and power enough to play all her games AND do all homework/web browsing. Not as noisy as I was afraid of. Would love to have one more HDMI or DP port, but in this price range one port will work just fine.

Good Budget Gaming Computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a year out review: It works well and will play some CPU demanding games with little lag. Two minor problems: First, with the speakers. They started making static noises after 8 month when I would watch movies with the volume up. I must have partially blown them, but I never felt like I pushed them hard enough to blow. Second, the computer seems to have slowed down a bit. Maybe I'm not tech savvy enough to keep it running at optimal speed, but sometimes the CPU will be cranking too hard and even a game like Minecraft will be jumpy. I will definitely continue to use it and it is still reliable to play on, but maybe it's best to find a laptop with SSD rather than Hybrid.

Posted .Brad,
We're sorry to hear about the problems that you're having with your Dell computer. We'd recommend updating the Audio Driver and see if that helps with the speaker quality: http://dell.to/2nd1yM3.
For the performance we'd recommend running the Windows Performance Troubleshooter to see if there are ways to speed up your computer:
1. Close all open windows.
2. Press the Windows logo key + X key on the keyboard.
3. Click Control Panel.
4. Click System and Security.
5. Under Security and Maintenance, select Troubleshoot common problems.
6. Under System and Security, click Run maintenance tasks.
7. Follow the on-screen instructions and prompts to complete the process.
8. Restart the PC.

nice PC
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this PC on Black Friday, so it was a good deal. I don't like the touch pad (it's rough and annoying for me), but I like it pretty much. I don't play PC games at all, but I see movies on PC a lot, so I hope it will work for a long time.

Hardware issues less than 2 months in..
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first bought this, it was an amazing machine. It is built like a tank, it is not too thick or too heavy, and Dell's reputation is great, so I thought I could not go wrong for the price. I have started to have issues, and although Dell's customer service is great, the only way for them to repair the hardware issues that I am having is to send it off for 10-12 business days, and I will be without a computer for school. If this hardware problem was not happening, then I would give this computer 5 stars. Get a protection plan if you buy this computer. But perhaps you will not even need it. :-) I would recommend this computer, just with the warning to get a protection plan.

Excellent laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It`s a very nice laptop. I played Doom and other current gen titles and went very well. GTA IV was lagging a little, but nothing too critical. I`m playing some previous gen titles that I missed, such as Dead Space and The Witcher 2, and it`s all good :)

Crashed constantly
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Started off really excited about this laptop, awesome picture quality, and I was excited to play Overwatch on PC. However, I only owned it for 5 days and it crashed on me 12 times. Pretty much every 1- 2 hours the computer would crash.

Great inexpensive gaming computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a laptop to work from home or travel that would also handle gaming without being too expensive. This meets all of my specs and it's really light and sturdy. I find the back lighting in red to be easier on my eyes than my previous laptop's blue.

Good for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You're not getting top-of-the-line specs but the laptop itself runs modern games pretty well and has a decent battery life. If you can afford the $850 model I would recommend that since it has an ssd and an IPS panel for the screen.

Awesome gaming system
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great graphics, memory, etc etc. All around a great purchase. This is the second one we purchased for gaming and it works like a champ. Would recommend getting external fan (Best Buy sells them) because it can run a little hot if you game for a long time.

Great Entry Level Gaming Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the things I like best about this laptop is the video card which is not that of your average laptop. It's an actual PC card which makes the graphics awesome! I told my friend about this laptop and she's a techno geek and now she has one, too.

good price and capable laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does a great job for what I need. Powerful enough for the type of games I play and good family laptop. Its thicker than I expected and also heavier but for the price it's a fine.

Worth it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What I really like about this system is how easy it was to upgrade. I replaced the hard drive with a SSD and added 8G of memory. It’s a great base system. The access to do upgrades is one screw. The Samsung SSD was easy to clone from the system drive.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice laptop except including DVD drive. Graphic is good but some big game cannot be played because of required prossessor. Anyway, core i5 and 4GB graphic is good for games. Design is the best for me.

Like a bad massage WITHOUT a happy ending...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Despite the title, I'm a family man who enjoys a little gaming in my spare time.. Unfortunately, my old Asus RoG G73 decided that after several years of use, it wasn't willing to play nice anymore.. So it was time for a new laptop. Since it was a somewhat unexpected demise, I wasn't prepared financially to purchase a new RoG or any other recommended gaming laptop. However, I came across this Dell with quite a few positive reviews.. So I decided to go for it. What a waste of time. First off, the screen is absolutely horrible...in fact, I thought about returning it within a couple of hours (most of which were spent calibrating) because of the viewing angles (or lack thereof) and the horrible picture quality. I mean, my old TV from the 90's was better than this thing. And even if the screen was at least decent, the performance fresh out of the box left me missing my 7 yr old RoG. I was so ready to return it. However, I always feel a little bit guilty/hesitant about returning something that truly isn't broken. Lucky for me, this laptop crapped the bed less than 24 hours after purchase. Total failure. Wouldn't power on. I finally decided to bite the bullet a day later, and purchased a 17" Asus RoG that I've been extremely happy with over the last few weeks now. Never again Dell...never again. If this is all that you can afford...then save up for a little bit and buy a proper gaming laptop...an etch o sketch would've been better than this garbage.

Good for hefty games
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great graphics and processing power for a beginning, casual gaming computer. Only downside is the backlighting for the screen makes it difficult to watch movies on unless it's at the exactly perfect angle.

Christmas Gift
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought for my 14 year old daughter for Christmas. She likes it but she likes the big screen of her XBox better. And she only has one friend with a gaming computer so online gaming is only with him.
