Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the Inspiron 15.6" laptop's excellent performance, impressive graphics card, and fast SSD as major strengths. Many also appreciate its good screen quality, long battery life, and reasonable price. However, some users find the laptop somewhat heavy and note that the fan can be noisy during intensive use. A few customers also suggest that the storage capacity could be improved.

Great Laptop, but mine was defective

The problem I had was that the one I got was defective, it would get the blue screen about 1/3 of the time when it would wake up from sleep, so I returned it. I'll probably be sticking to Mac for a little bit longer.

Dear John. Thanks for your review and for your recent Dell laptop purchase. We're sorry to hear that you've had trouble with Blue Screen Errors. We'd recommend the following steps to diagnose this issue:
      1. At the desktop, click the Search the web and Windows box and type "problem reports".
      2. Select View all problem reports to view a list of errors that have occurred on your computer and possible solutions for them, such as updating drivers, flashing your system BIOS, or checking for updates to the software.
      3. Under the Source column, look for Windows and under Summary, look for Shut down unexpectedly.
      4. Right-click the line item and select Check for a solution.
You can read the full article here: http://dell.to/2u98Cct.
We hope this solution helps the problems that you're having. - Bryan Dell

If it had a better screen I would have kept it. Everything is great about the computer otherwise. The screen is ips but still seems a bit washed out and not vibrant colors.

    Great budget gaming laptop.

First, a little background about myself as a tech/game geek: 1) I built my own budget gaming desktop some 3 or 4 years ago which is still going strong. 2) I own a Macbook Pro, iPhone, and iPad, and prefer the macOS environment, but I understand its limits when it comes to gaming, and I don't consider myself a fanboy of one particular environment over another. 3) I prefer slower/casual/indie games (Blizzard titles, League of Legends, Citites: Skylines and other city builders, Age of Empires, Civ, etc.) but I sometimes dabble in more "intense" AAA titles. I bought this laptop a couple days ago and here are my first impressions on playing around with it for a bit. PROS - Price is too good to pass up especially on a laptop with a 1050ti card. Most of the laptops I looked at around this price only has a 1050 card. - It has a 256GB SSD, and even though it's not that big of a drive in terms of storage, most around this price only has a HDD (hybrid if you're lucky), which I'll never ever going back to as a main drive. - As others have stated, this is ridiculously easy to open up. There's literally just one screw to open up the bottom, pry off the panel, and you're inside. I put in a 500GB HDD I had lying around (I used a piece of foam to hold it in place since I don't have a mount) in the empty drive bay. It literally took me a minute. I booted up the laptop, formatted the disk, and it's now storing my Steam games. - Build quality/aesthetics is pretty good/excellent. It plastic throughout, but it feels like it can hold up pretty well. It reminds me of a bunker or tank when closed, as opposed to other gaming laptops that look like spaceships. The hinge seems quite solid, and there’s a bit of flex to the display panel which is nice. - Sound and speakers are excellent for a laptop. The little subwoofer on the bottom is cute and delivers quite a punch for what it is. NEUTRAL - Display is a bit weak in terms of brightness and color, but I'm not sure if this is only because I've been spoiled by my Macbook's Retina display. It's good enough when I'm playing games, but I'm not sure if it'll be good enough if you were to use it for photo/video editing. BUT, calibrating color helped significantly, using both Windows color calibration and Intel’s graphics settings. If fact, doing this is essential, I think, to get the most of the display. - Out of the box, it crashed for me a couple times when trying to set it up, but I think it's more of an issue with Windows rather than the computer itself. After updating through Windows and the Dell app, though, it's been running smoothly. - 8GB of RAM might not be enough for hardcore gamers, enthusiasts, or content creators, but for the most part, it should be enough for moderate to moderate-heavy use. - It’s a bit beefier at almost 6lbs (5.8ish as stated on the specs) so it might be a bit cumbersome for some people. I’m super buff though so it’s not a problem for me =) I would give this a 4.5 rating overall, the only cons being the few hiccups I had during initial setup and the display. But for what it has for the price, I have to bump up the rating to 5. I have already recommended this to several people looking for budget gaming laptops.

    ~2 Year Long Term Review

The Dell Inspiron gaming laptop in the 7567 series did very well and ran powerfully on many games. It has since been able to run well today. Do not expect it to run very highly demanding games. Cons: -Fingerprint magnet -Some flex on the screen, not that bad -Easily dirty (weird dried up stuff constantly got on the keyboard, not sure if that is normal, cleanable though) -Driver problems became present after a while then were fixed -Bloatware, not a problem since they were easily uninstalled Pros: -The laptop is openable with one hand (if this is common, many said it was a pro for it to be opened this easily during back then) -Powerful with GTX 1050 Ti, comfortably high framerates -Good value for the price -Decent port selection but dont expect top notch modern ports like USB-C now, HDMI port available -Fast loading times because of SSD -Good design, not obnoxious -Good build quality, some had concerns about the hinge design but it has held up well Info you should/probably already know: -60hz IPS panel, not the best but works for gaming -Subwoofer present and speakers are on the bottom of the laptop, not the best speakers either but loud and good for gaming -Webcam is present but not the best -Dust does come out the bottom of the laptop so you will have to clean that out once in a while. -Fan noise is audible once you start gaming heavily, wasn’t a problem for me and you should be able to ignore it -Windows 10 Home

    Great, Inexpensive Gaming Laptop

For just under $700 (purchased during Black Friday (month) , this is a great gaming laptop. I previously had a Dell with i7 cpu, but with integrated/shared graphics. Playing World of Tanks I had to play it on low graphics settings. With this laptop I can play on High/Maximum settings and NO lag. It’s a whole new game on high graphics, I was missing a ton of detail. The first week I had this laptop I got a little nervous because every once in a while the screen would freeze and make these funny “electronic” sounds, but only for seconds. But now, after about a couple months of use, it has not done the screen freeze. Regarding the fans being noisy, well, it was slightly louder than my previous Dell, but I wear headphones while gaming and don’t hear them. When using the laptop for surfing the internet, the fans never ramp up. I like that the fans discharge to the back of the laptop. I’m left handed and my previous Dell, the fans were on the left side. My hand was always hot - very annoying! You can also add more memory and a 2nd hard drive very easily. This laptop does boot up very quickly because of the SSD drive. Overall, for an entry level gaming laptop, I am very happy with this laptop!
