Great Choice
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Has all you need for Chromebook, power and memory. Only con I can find is weight. Good for tabletop maybe but heavy for laptop. If you can live with the weight you will not be disappointed with performance.

Used for school work
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is perfect for school work. No issues. Fast, even with multiple tabs open. I am happy I found this chromebook at A great price and backlit keyboard. The only downfall is that it is pretty heavy for a chromebook. I definitely feel it’s weight in my bag.

Amazing Chromebook
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this Chromebook for my wife for school. She loves it. For the price it is hard to beat backlit keyboard, 2 in 1 that does landscape and portrait mode, great battery life, stylus. Only an i3 processor, but the small OS of google chrome means it is still very fast.

This thing ROCKS!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were hesitant to buy a Chromebook, because we didn’t know much about them. Our 3 kids use them at school though, and this was bought to help them be able to keep up with school work and go have fun on. Within just a few minutes of opening the box, we were able to have each of the kids setup their own profile using their school logins. When they did this, all of their settings and apps that are setup at school were transferred and loaded right on to ours! They are able to easily access anything they need for school and use other apps to have fun as well.

Bought for parents, great device!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the stylus, parents found chrome OS was easy to use, and runs all the apps they are used to from their mobile devices. They can do email, shop online, and do social networking now with speed and ease, and can see souch easier than phones.

Great student laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a great laptop. The touch screen and stencil go a long way to making notes easier to go through. The only drawback is the need of internet to do things like sign in and stuff. If it weren't for my hotspot on my phone I'd be toast. Good laptop overall tho.

It's a Great Chromebook - But it is Heavy!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Performance is stellar, it's such a solid build. I did not remember 4 pounds being so heavy though... it is just not practical as a tablet. I'm going to be returning it - for $296 plus tax as open box you could not go wrong!

Excellent Chromebook!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hesitant to buy a Chromebook, but this Dell is equipped with just the right components for the ideal budget friendly and extremely useful tool. With COVID-19 and our kids requiring to complete school from home, we needed a more functional computer for doing the assignments that were mostly online. The touch-screen interface, stylus, and efficiency of Chrome OS really made this purchase worth it. We purchased the Geek Squad certified open box, and while the discount was nice, it probably was not enough to justify not just purchasing the new item.

The Best Buy team assisted me well to find their best choice to meet my needs. The only downside is that it's a little heavy.

Great
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are already enough good reviews here. I am just adding some personal perspective: I love this computer but my screen resolution is less than stated above. It's screen resolution is 1396x785. Is this FHD? I know the HP X2 has a better resolution but this Dell Inspiron is leagues better in screen res and the overall look and feel compared to my previous laptops. I went with the Dell Inspiron for the space, decent RAM, and that indestructible feel. The HP X2 keyboard flap is would not work well with me, I preferred a laptop over a tablet. I take it everywhere with me, I love the weight it has. I wish there was a USB on the right side for my mouse because I am a righty. So I loop my wire around (don't use bluetooth mouse yet) or I use a USB-C adapter. I very rarely use it in tablet mode, but I have used it in tent mode while illustrating. (Can't use a mouse in tent-mode or tablet mode so no Blender. I hate that, I'm surprised no one has mentioned this as a con before. Is this the same across Chromebook convertibles? Maybe a bluetooth mouse will solve the issue.) The battery literally lasts all day. Surprising, really. I've put it to the test. But memory intensive apps can drain your battery. Look out for Google Play apps not optimized for Chromebook, Like Slack. You can just download Slack for Linux, but then no notifications at the moment. I just bought this Dell Inspiron 14 Chromebook on May 31, 2019. I use Inkscape and Blender often on it. The heat dissipation is not the best and can cause the Chromebook to get very hot quickly. So I usually do my modeling on the Chromebook and render on my old Lenovo with the same RAM and CPU (no dedicated graphics) as the Chromebook. It's just that the Lenovo is loud, fans run on start-up, and is not very mobile. And, yes, I listen to music on Youtube while modeling in Blender simultaneously. May even browse tutorials while listening to music and modeling in Blender. Waiting to see if Google's GPU flag will come to the stable channel so I can try it out on this Chromebook. If it helps with the heat and time it takes to render a simple image then I will be forever grateful to the team. Major Issue: I have noticed since the day I began using the Dell Inspiron Chromebook that the screen stutters. I mean, it has a vibration here and there. Sometimes horizontal black out. It looks like the Chromebook has a hard time running its own screen. I guess if it was 1920x1080 the screen likely wouldn't function much. I doubt it could handle an external monitor. The lack of an HDMI port delays my testing on this. I don't think the issue is with the screen itself. Usually these horizontal stutters, black bars, etc., go across the entire screen. But I have seen this happen on just the part of a screen where a video is playing or even on a single web page when two are side-by-side; the stuttering showing on the page being scrolled and not the static page. I haven't brought the Chromebook back to BestBuy even with my protection plan because I have a feeling that a software update could fix this. PS, I posted this same review on aboutchromebooks. It's a great Chromebook, I use the pen very often. With the latest flags you can use Google Assistant similarly to Pixelbook, but I never tried. Always silent unless I try to render in Blender. This Chromebook is ice cold all the time otherwise, which I love. I purchased this at $450 but was given $50 in refund when they lowered the price within two weeks of my purchase. Best Buy has great customer.
