got this as a replacement for an old standard directv remote. it's fantastic, feels great in the hand. has a good weight to it and the buttons are in perfect positions. also the backlight feature is a bonus. easy to program as well.

This remote worked very well with the Genie. I especially like the backlight feature. The numbers are very easy to read.

I love how eay it was to set up and use. The backlight is sooo handy when watching a movie

The backlight is really nice. Makes it a lot easier to use in a low light room. Only problem is that sometimes when pressing the 30 sec. commercial skip when watching a recorded program a couple of times it sometimes skips way ahead ( like 20 minutes). Possibly it's just me pressing the wrong button or it's a feature I am not aware of.

So, my original backlit control for DirectTV receiver/DVR was getting flakey. Tried to find the original. No luck. This doesn't seem to really be built for this receiver/DVR. Can't change input (so must use TV remote). Can't forward 12 hours at a time-ZERO way around this. I don't see any way to operate the "blue" buttons (keep recorded show). Occasionally, the volume control won't scroll, and you're forced to click one setting at a time. I DO like the channel controls which allow you to page through the guide/multiple channels with a single click. That's about the only thing that's better about this control. I'm going to keep looking for original controller.

We needed to replace the remote we have and this one has backlighting. The keys are responsive and easy to use. The RF/IFR combination make it great for our home. Buy it! You'll like it. We have a $300.00 Harmony remote and this is much easier to use.

This remote replaced my Direct TV remote and with a little programming I had it up and running in a very short time. Directions were included and were easy to follow. However, the cost was a bit more than I wanted to pay.

This remote was almost exactly the same as the one I had. However, this one had lights on so when I am in the dark you can see the key pad.

Great Remote easy set up, just wish it would work other equipment like dvd player as well. but when kid lose your remote and you are in a pickle, it was nice to just run down to the local best buy and grab one.

Our remote broke so we bought this replacement and it was very easy to link it to everything we had. I was glad we didn't need to buy the much more expensive ones to do the job

not worth the money but the store only had the one remote and I was there so they got the purchase, can see it going for $35 not $50

This genie remote is great. It is easy to program multiple devices. It walks you thru every stem ,on your t.v. screen. Plus it lights in the dark, every time you press any button. Great reliable remote.

Our DIRECTV remote stopped working, I picked up this remote as a replacement. I was able to quickly program it to my Genie box and it works great, plus it has backlight!
