Frustrating at first, but it grows on you. Was looking forward to this game for a long time. The camera was initially a problem, as it made some tasks difficult, and the nature of some levels was irritating as I adjusted to the new gameplay style. Then you get into the story, the lore, the background.... It's all good. The game is not perfect, but it's far better than most. And it has Oswald.

the game is simple enough for for an inexperienced player to pick up and have fun, and in depth enough to keep a veteran gamer like myself, entertained for hours. the open game play and side quest objectives allow you to potentially spend several hours in one area searching for all the collectibles, but they are not required to complete the game so if you wanted, you could skip all the side missions and finish the game in just under three hours (if you have played threw at least once and know ware your going.) Also, the game allows you to choose a "morality" to your actions. depending on weather you choose to use the paint or thinner, determines the amount of reserve of what you choose to use as well as effects certain parts of the story line of the game. all in all, i very much enjoyed this game. the replay value is very high due to the side objectives and collectibles. i will and have suggested this game to my friends and to anybody else who enjoys playing games.

This is one of the best games for the wii to come out.. This year in wii gaming is Fantastic. The reason i got this game is becuase its Disney And It Mickey Mouse.. This game has remarkable gameplay and is fun for hours.. i did not put the wii mote down till 5 hrs in..Yeah Some one say that's along time to play a game.. But if you doubt me Pick up the game Its very Addicting and easy to Get into. The Good: 1.Mickey Mouse Is A Fun Character. 2.Graphics Are Amazing 3.Great Game Play. 4.Hours Of Fun. 5.Great For The Family/Kids 6.Worth The Price. 7.Great Time Killer. The Bad: 1.Nothing, Just Don't Start Playing Before You Have To Go Somewhere You Might Be Late..

    Great Game but not easy!

This game has fantastic graphics and is a lot of fun, but is NOT for beginners and/or young children. My 17 year old who has grown up with video games loved it, but my younger kids thought it was very hard, as did I. Just because its a 'Mickey' game doesn't mean its for little ones.

Adventurous and fun for my 9 yr old son

This was a gift for my 9 year old son who thinks this game is adventurous and fun. I noticed it was difficult for him to learn the game rules when he first started the game but now he really enjoys the storyline and objectives. There is some violence so I would caution against very young players playing this. The optional Paint Brush Controller is not needed, the standard Wii controller works just fine - save your money.

I purchased this game for my son. He's really just getting into video games so this game was a little challenging for him but he loves watching his brothers play the game.

This got such great reviews, I almost bought it last year for $50. Glad I waited until it came down this Christmas. It proves to be too complicated for my 7 year old and even my 12 year old gets bogged down in parts! I thought it would be one of their favorites, but it just sits with the other games that are too hard or too easy for them. At first, it wouldn't even load and kept telling us to update our system. When we did it several times, it finally loaded. Unfortunately, we were disappointed in the game.

Don't start this game unless you have lots of time to spend! Graphics are excellent. I like that you can play and play, there is no "Game over". However, there are lives and once all are lost, you restart at your current start point. Lots of hidden items. Suggest going online for game outline and cheat sheets.

    not a 'family' game

I didn't realize that this game was for ONLY one player, which was a huge disappointment. It was also more difficult than expected for all of the kids, and even my husband felt it was much more difficult. For the money, while it may be a good value/game for some, it was a huge waste for our family and I wish I would not have bought it. It's sad, but I'm trying to find a place to unload it as we will not be playing it again. At this time, we don't even have friends that want it either.

I was disappointed with this game. It was a fantastic concept and the graphics are awesome, but the game itself is boring and tedious and I lost interest less than 1/2 way through. The description makes it seem like a fun puzzling game where you have to use paint to make stuff happen. Like you'd actually have to draw something with your paint and it would become real. It's more like you just go around firehousing paint on everything you see. There's nothing really puzzling about that.

the graphics and concepts in the game are great. the mini game ares and flash backs to old zones are very fun. this is not a game for little kids, it can be a bit dark, and very hard to control

It is a pretty good game but you get lost often and is to hard to see, so you kind of have to guess where you are going.

    Not what we'd hoped for...

This was for my 5 year old son. Obviously, the reading was something we weren't prepared for. After we bought it, and began playing it, we saw (in tiny print) on the back of the box, that basic reading skills were required. Bummer! The graphics are ok. It's not as entertaining as the Lego games. He can follow the story line pretty well and is pretty independent solving the riddles and using the clues, once we read them to him. Not a total waste but not as exciting as we'd hoped for.

Great game, but not for kids

I am an adult Disney fan, so I bought the game with high expectations. The graphics are beautiful. The levels are fun and challenging. The music is up to Disney standards. It's a long game with plenty of sidequests (which can sometimes get annoying). I played with no game guide and got through just fine. However, the game has some very dark elements that I think would be too scary for younger children. Mickey is a dark character, and there are several scenes in the game that are truly frightening. I think this game should be for 13 years old and up. Adult gamers will not be disappointed in this game, though. It is worth the buy.

The game is designed well and is easy to understand and play. It has a lot of nostalgia giving credit to many earlier Disney characters and cartoons. It's a great game for kids and adults who have trouble with the faster paced games of Xbox or PS3. The only bad thing I would have to say about this game is that the camera angle is somewhat difficult to control and at times the game takes over the viewing angle, giving you a bad viewpoint to play from. Other than that I think this game is very well put together and fun to play.

Finally a game without shooting that my kids like

My elementary age kids love this game. While the "Lego" brand games are great, there still is a lot of shooting, even if only Lego bricks break up. The Xbox games had started to dominate in my household, but this game has brought back interest in the Wii and the older Wii games we have.

I've never been into video games. They tend to loose their charm after a couple levels, but I really enjoy playing the Epic Mickey. It's familiarity and revival of old cartoon favorites along with many side challenges is a lot of fun.

This game covers the disney park is a dark way. Something new maybe not for little kids and the game play is hard. Game is very long which is great because once you start playing this you will find it hard to put down.
