Just make sure you connect via bluetooth with phone in your pocket to ensure you have connectivity to maps and other items.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is a much appreciated update to original Smart Controller, and it delivers! Yes, it's running Android 10, yes, the TriplTek 8 is larger, a little brighter, etc., I do use it with other aircraft in my fleet. However, to get the most out of the Mavic 3, this is a must. I purchased the Cine version at launch mostly because of the RC Pro being included and I am very glad I did. The 1TB SSD in the aircraft is yet another bonus. The RC PRO and aircraft were updated almost a month early which really squashed most of the annoying bugs found at launch. The HDMI MINI output is fantastic, and with an upcoming firmware update hopefully DJI will get the "save to micro SD" enabled. In the meantime, side-loading apps to handle file management works quite well. Highly recommended!

I also own the SC1, which DJI has not made compatible with the Mavic 3. So I plan to get a TriplTek 7 or 8 which will work with the Controllers I have and offer better viewing. DJI should do better for their loyal customers.

We are very sorry for the trouble caused. Series of compatibility tests are conducted and it is shown that the hardware of DJI Smart Controller cannot support all the requirements of the Mavic 3 video transmission system, which cannot guarantee a smooth and stable video transmission. Besides, DJI Smart Controller does not support DJI Cellular Transmission Dongle. Therefore, DJI Smart Controller cannot be used with DJI Mavic 3. Thank you for your understanding and support.
