Customers appreciate the stunning visuals and engaging storyline in Dragon Age: The Veilguard Deluxe. Many found the game fun and praised the well-developed characters. However, some players felt the combat system could be improved, describing it as repetitive or shallow. Overall, the positive feedback on the story and graphics outweighs the criticism of the combat.

RPG wise love it, not very free roam it unlocks territory as you progress and level up, not my thing but they did put some effort into the actors voicing the script they did a good job it’s not omg one of the greats but it entertained me. Game play wise it’s not as fun as hacking an slashing in some AC or something but the mechanics is nice good effects.

I’ve had so much fun playing and have already completed two character runs. Veilguard has a great protagonist and banter, is well-acted, and has rich lore. I’ve had smooth gameplay/very few bugs and the graphics are beautiful which makes photo mode a feature I’ve really enjoyed using. I felt the game had a nice length and plenty of content and wrapped up the story nicely. Love the new inventory system/shop upgrades to not have to worry about carrying too much inventory. I do wish I could dye outfits.
I also miss being able to take more than just two companions and I struggle a bit with this new fighting style, even on story mode. Overall, my Solavellan heart is very happy with this one!

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a game that seems to struggle in finding its identity. While it offers a sprawling fantasy world that is visually stunning, the gameplay elements fail to live up to the expectations set by its predecessors.
The combat system feels disappointingly shallow. What should have been a thrilling and strategic experience often ends up being repetitive and simplistic, leaving little room for player ingenuity or tactical depth.
The skill tree system, which is usually a staple of character customization and growth in RPGs, feels uninspired and lackluster. Progressing through the game with this system feels more like ticking boxes than making meaningful choices that impact gameplay.
The story, unfortunately, doesn’t do much to redeem these flaws. It’s serviceable but ultimately mediocre, with predictable plot twists and an overall narrative that lacks the emotional resonance and intrigue that fans of the franchise have come to expect. In addition to the fact that your choices do not really matter; outside of a couple lines of dialogue.
The characters, which should be the heart and soul of any Dragon Age game, are disappointingly one-note. They lack the depth and complexity that make players fall in love with companions and villains alike.
In conclusion, Dragon Age: The Veilguard is an average game that had the potential to be much more. It’s enjoyable enough for a casual playthrough but falls short of being a memorable addition to the Dragon Age series. Wait for this to go on sale.

It was a good game, character development was a bit lacking and the interactions and banter were not as frequent or meaningful as prior games. The game was long but honestly felt little connection between the characters than I ever felt before. Might have been my inability to play frequently or maybe the game itself. The romances were lackluster, definitely didnt feel the heat between the characters weve come to love and expect drom Bioware but all in all an enjoyable experience. Wish they’d involved solas a bit more than they did, he seemed more an afterthought.

Been a fan of the Dragon Age series for over 20 years now. And the worst part of this game is that it's part of the Dragon Age series. As it stands it's a fair-to-good action RPG (with shades of Mass Effect) that gets highly repetitive even though the classes themselves have a good amount of depth and variety to them. Game is gorgeous too, the art style is Pixar-ish in a good way, and there's some decent variety in the settings.
What drags it down is the inanity of the story and more importantly, the companion characters themselves. Cookie cutter for the most part, with some of the absolutely cringiest lines I've ever heard in a game. Occasionally the "funny" lands, but I found myself dry heaving from the terribly forced writing more often than not. "Sidequests" that run the gamut from helping an assassin take over his mafioso-style family (cool) to having a heated gender discussion with one of the other companion's mothers...? Less than awesome.
Boss fights vary from aggravating repetitiveness to outright spamming the same moves over and over. Enemy types suffer from lack of variety as well, killing the same old Pixar-ified ghouls gets tiresome after 50-60 hours. Adds to the disincentivizing of wanting to do another playthru, which I can't even fathom, why anyone would do this journey more than once.
Got a few good points but there's far more in the con column. There are better alternatives out there...many of them.

The writing could be better in certain parts of the game, but it is still great. Reviews I saw online made it out to be so bad, but I was so glad to see everything come to a head. Only real critique I could give, this feels like Dragon Age 5, and we’re still missing Dragon Age 4.

This follows along the path of the previous games with a twist. Early sections are quite easy but the story is good and the difficulty does increase some.

Good game, but wish they went back to the original Dragon Age's more traditional rpg feel and story-telling. Action rpgs like this are flooding the market, becoming a dime a dozen
