After about a week of trying out Dyson’s newest Airwrap styling product, the Coanda 2x, my experience with it was just okay. I found nearly an equal amount of things that I either really enjoyed or didn’t care for with the Airwrap Coanda 2x, and, for me personally, I’m not sure the full value is there for this product. I think some people will find that they love this Airwrap, but I worry that more people will find themselves a bit underwhelmed by it, like I did, especially given the cost.
Features I enjoyed:
The fast dryer attachment is really awesome, and I loved how compact, quiet, and powerful it is. I have medium thick hair and it is fairly long right now. Typically I don’t even bother drying it all the way because it takes so long to dry, and my hair air-dries straight. The hair dryer dried my hair SO quickly and left it noticeably less frizzy. The temperature control is excellent and I felt that I would never have to worry about damaging my hair.
The Airsmooth 2x (straightener) attachment works much better that I anticipated and it quickly grew to become a favorite attachment after some brief practice. Initially, I was very skeptical at how well an air straightener could possibly work but I honestly felt that the results, for me, were identical between using it versus my normal straightener. (I do have naturally very straight hair so it doesn’t take much effort to straighten any waves out of my hair.) The first time I used the straightener, the arms automatically released after each pass like the instructions state that it's supposed to. I actually found this to be a bit annoying because you had to then press the power button to start the next pass each time. The other times I used the straightener, the arms did not release automatically and I found myself preferring that.
Ergonomic comfort. I felt that the Airwrap was comfortable to hold and that the placement of the power and cold shot buttons were practical. I didn’t find myself accidentally pressing any buttons while actively styling my hair which I appreciated as well. The Airwrap is also VERY light weight.
Device temperature. Curling my hair provided the longest runtime (over an hour) for using the Airwrap, and the handle never once felt hot which is impressive considering the small size of the Airwrap. Additionally, since the attachments have no metal in them, they cooled VERY quickly, and make it seemingly impossible to accidentally burn yourself.
Features I didn’t love:
I did not care for the anti-snag loop brush attachment and only briefly tested it. My hair is likely too thick for this to be practical for me to use. I did not dare to attempt the round volumizing brush because I’ve never had good luck using those and they make me nervous. (lol)
The power cord, specifically the GFCI block, is super obnoxious. It kept falling off my counter while using the Airwrap and then would bang against the wall, which was quite annoying.
Things I was split on:
Loudness. While the Airwrap Coanda 2x is exceptionally quiet for a hair dryer, it’s loud for a hair straightener and curling iron. It is quiet enough that curling my hair for an hour didn’t result in a noticeable noise differential afterward.
The curling barrels. My hair does not hold a curl well at all so any type of styling pretty much has to be done with a tighter barrel. I tested both curling attachments out, but primarily used the smaller (1.2”) one. It took quite a bit of practice to get good curls with the curling attachments. The air flow is very strong and blows hair not being curled everywhere, which is annoying and a bit troublesome at times. I was very impressed with how well the airwrap technology worked though, and it’s definitely a wrist and time saver. I did have issues with my hair getting twisted up, but as I curled it more, I got a better feel of how to avoid that from happening as much. My hair did curl very well, but the curls did not hold any better than they normally do. While I did not save much time curling my hair with the Airwrap versus my regular curling iron, I do think it could improve after some more practice.
The app and i.d curl features. I’m torn between this being too much / unnecessary technology and it being helpful. The i.d. curl sequence is very helpful when first learning how to use the Airwrap curling barrels, but after some practice, it becomes less practical. I do like that the last settings used with each attachment are automatically remembered for the next use, but this is not a critical feature for me.
The presentation case. Included with the Airwrap is a storage case that holds it and all the attachments. This, by far, is the nicest case included with any hair styling tool that I’ve ever gotten. While it appears to be an excellent case, it is bulky and it is definitely not practical for traveling.
Overall, I really enjoyed the hair dryer and air straightener attachments of the Airwrap Coanda 2x, but I could do without the other included attachments. It is difficult to recommend this product to other people since I only found half of the attachments to be of good use for me.

The Dyson Airwrap is a great hair styling tool. It works well, dries my hair quickly, is fairly quiet, and the attachments are easy to use. I do find the base to be a bit heavy, but I will get used to it. It comes with an amazing case to hold all the attachments and base. The cord is a good length, perfectly long enough. I would not say this is a good product for travel, because it is a bit bulky, and it is heavy – but I guess if you’re checking a bag then go for it! I like how easy it is to change the attachments; beyond the hair dryer attachment my favorite is the brush looking one. Helping to straighten out my hair without a ton of frizziness. I was able to connect it to Bluetooth through my phone easily and see it in MyDyson app. You can create a hair profile that will help you with styling. So far, I have not had any issues with the connection. Overall, this is an expensive hair tool, and if you are in the market for a premium product that will fulfill all your hair styling needs this is the one to own. My other Dyson products have had longevity with little issues, that is important – and I will expect the same from this one.

The Dyson airwrap is the “hot” new hair tool that just got an upgrade with new technology. It comes in two versions, each catering to specific hair types: one for straight/wavy hair and one for curly/coily hair. My hair is sort of wavy kind of strait so I went with that model.
The Dyson airwrap comes with 6 tool attachments- a hair dryer, round brush, Airsmooth(similar to a straitener), anti-snag loop brush, 1.6" curling barrel, and 1.2” curling barrel. It all comes neatly packaged in a beautiful purple-ish box to store it in.
After some playing around with the tools, I am thoroughly impressed. The blow dryer attachment has the power of a full size blow dryer and dried my hair as quickly as the stand alone dryer does (I also have the Dyson dryer). The Airsmooth tamed my frizzy hair effortlessly after drying. I didn’t need to use my straightener to finish my hair. The round brush went smoothly through my hair without snagging which I’ve seen was a complaint of the first version. The two curling barrels take some practice but once you get the hang of it curling my hair, was once again, effortless. You can create multiple styles at home and not cause any heat damage to your hair because of their airflow technology.
The tool weighs less than one pound so your arms don’t get tired quickly with use. It’s very quiet despite boasting a stronger motor than the first model.

I am a hairstylist, I also have wavy hair, about T2 so I was excited to try this out, especially since it has so many attachments, great all in one tool. It comes in a very nice case with room for all the attachments but the case is very large & heavy! The dryer itself is very light weight. I started out with just the dryer attachment, it’s small but powerful, even on low speed it blew my hair everywhere, it even has a cold shot button & there are 3 heat speeds & 3 dry speeds. It does dry the hair quickly, even on low. The attachments lock in so you have to slide the release button to change them.
Next is where things didn’t go so well, the smooth loop brush works well, drys the hair quick & left it shiny & glides easily thought the hair without pulling, see pics below, of my clients long hair). The straighten tool is awkward, it’s suppose to clamp down & release at the end but it never worked right for me. The volumizing brush I figured would be easy to use, nope, heat settings came on but the dryer wouldn’t turn on. The 2 curling barrels were the most difficult to use, they’re suppose to automatically wrap the hair around but there is so much airflow that all it does is grab the occasional strands & blow the rest around, even on low. Auto feature must be on to use the curl barrels which has to be done in the app by turning on ID curl. It takes a very long time to curl, hard to wrap around wand & it doesn’t beep to let you know it’s done. I can’t imagine using this on yourself, I tried & I am the first picture, it straightened my hair but not much curl & it fell out. Curls also fell out on my client.
This dryer produces so much air for each attachment that the hair just blows around. It’s very hard to style with that much air. It has Bluetooth & you can customize your hair ID in the app but honestly, I just feel all that is unnecessary. I’ve been a hairstylist for 29 years & have tried all different tools & this is by far the most challenging one I’ve ever used. I can’t imagine being a consumer & trying to figure this one out. I’d give it 3.5 stars for the quick dry & 2 attachments that do work. Maybe mine is defective but it’s definitely not easy to use!

Dyson - Airwrap Coanda 2x Multi-Styler and Dryer For Straight+Wavy Hair - Ceramic Pink/Rose Gold, I was so excited about being able to get rid of a bunch of hair stylers, have more room and have less clutter by having an all in one styler. I’m thankful I wasn’t overly excited and got rid of everything before I tried my Dyson Airwrap, once I pulled all the styling tools out did the whole Ooos And Aaaas, The set up began it comes in a pretty storage box but basically once you unbox everything it’s just an empty box no organizing slots for the different tools to store them neatly organized, I wished it would have came with a travel bag make it easier for packing for trips, don’t need to take all the tools but what I know I would need. So everything is nice the set up, what is suppose to be an Dyson app you down load gives styling tips, save favorite setting, you create your profile, well that didn’t work out well at all so when you get everything set up you have to install an update to the wand before using and you connect it via Bluetooth to your phone it says it would take a few mins it took over 2 hours to try and download I deleted & uninstalled Bluetooth and then started at step one again did this twice still just kept saying downloading, So since the app needed to remain open I started setting up my profile and looking at the styling Tutorials the. I went to my app profile setting and guess what it said it said my machine was up to date mind you it still said it was installing. Fine got passed being made glad I decided to try it on a day I had no plans instead of last minute. I for the life of me could not figure out how to get it to work with the app it was Bluetooth set up and updates, so I decided just to use it as any regular tool, I don’t like the size of the wand it’s way to long and thick not to heavy but it is not comfortable to use. It. Has a button you push for bursts of cool air which I don’t get, the blow dyer turns off and on so it took me almost an hour to dry my hair mind you may hair is thick and past my waste, I also tried the brush, my old brush, blow dry, curling room I can blow try and add so soft curls within 20 mins tops. The flat iron says to use only on dry hair. Which I know is healthier then on wet it took forever like it didn’t get hot enough took like 40 mins. The styling wands and curl barrows curled like any other wand that doesn’t cost hundreds. At the end of the day way over priced my cheaper older styling tools worked way better there was nothing special about it and who needs an app to be able to control a styling tool. I only have it 2 stars cause I liked the concept of an all in one but other then that, nothing special.

Perfect Hair Dryer/Styler For Straight/Wavy Hair

As I took the Dyson - Airwrap Coanda 2x Multi- Styler and Dryer for Straight/Wavy Hair out of the box my first impression was “This thing is too heavy and will make my arm tired before I get my hair finished”. My thoughts could not have been farther from the truth. Yes the larger box on the electrical cord is really heavy but it lays perfectly on the bathroom counter leaving plenty of cord to style my hair without the weight. It seems to actually make it easier to use. The cord that connects to the dryer appliance itself swivels so it never gets tangled nor do I need to stop and change positions while drying or styling. I am impressed!
.
There is a QR scan code on the cord of the main appliance that you need to scan before you use this appliance for the first time. It goes directly to Dyson.com and is where you download the owner’s manual, read expert tips and guides as well as find support or spare parts.
.
Dyson thought of everything. I hate how my fingers get hot when I use other brands of stylers. This styler has a nice addition to the end of each attachment to hold on too without getting the least bit hot. The attachments are easy on and off. There is a button that locks and unlocks the attachment to the appliance. It is as easy as clicking that button. I have never had an easier time putting on attachments before. My favorite it the round brush. It makes my hair look so good.
.
I wash my hair 2-3 times a week. My hair stayed shiny and styled between each washing without using any product at all. I love that there is no heat damage to my hair while using it. There is a built in filter on the end of the main cylinder close to the cord. All you need to do is slide out the part with all the holes in it and take out any hair. Nothing to replace. Just slide it back when you are finished. I have added a few photos highlighting all the parts that I talked about in this review.
.
This is my first Dyson hair appliance and I must say I love it! I have nothing bad to say about it at all. Anyone that reads my reviews know I write honest reviews and do post the bad parts. None here. All of the controls are easy to use and on the sides of the main cylinder. My hands just glide so easily to change them.

I received the Dyson Airwrap Coanda 2x Multi-Styler and Dryer For Straight+Wavy Hair - Ceramic Pink/Rose Gold.
Its packaged very well in a nice oval box, that you can store the unit and all the attachments in one place.
I absolutely love this styler/dryer, it is very well made, durable and made to last a long time. The color is beautifull!
Fits well in your hand, dries very nice, the styling attachments are great, you can, straighten, curl, blowout, just about anything you need to do to your hair. No frizziness, no over heating, just great!
I have thick hair and usually takes forever to dry, but not with this, dries fast, works great. Has multiple levels to choose from for heat and cool.
The brush attachments are nice, brush how ever you want as its dries and styles.
The straighting attachment, is very smooth on your hair, does not pull or cause breakage, doen not over heat your hair like some that cause damage.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great drier/ styler.

The Dyson Airwrap 2x comes packaged in a well-designed case that keeps everything organized. A handle would make it easier to carry, but that’s a minor detail compared to the performance of this blow dryer and styler.
Connecting the device to my phone was simple—clear instructions made the process smooth. I tried to run a software update, but it didn’t complete, even after restarting my phone. The app is running fine so it must have updated sometime. The instructional videos are fast-paced and hard to follow; slower, clearer tutorials would be an improvement.
My hair is very fine and straight, and I usually keep it clipped up to avoid styling. The i.d. curl feature was easy to use—it automatically wraps the hair and runs for the preset time. It was actually pretty amazing to see my hair wrap around the curling tube automatically! The results were surprisingly effective: large, voluminous curls that held well. I typically get a perm once a year for body, but this tool gave me similar results without the chemical treatment.
The dryer has a unique shape and works well. You can adjust heat and airflow, and the wand-style design is comfortable to hold—less bulky than a standard blow dryer. The drying brushes add noticeable volume, especially at the crown. Still, I use the curling wand most often because it delivers consistent results and is easy to operate.
The Airwrap 2x is well-built and delivers strong performance for fine, straight hair. While the tutorials and case design could be improved, I did not want to deduct a star because the styling results and ease of use more than make up for these minor inconveniences.

Disappointed with Dyson – Worked for 1 Minute and

I purchased the new Dyson Airwrap (latest generation, Coanda 2x) from Best Buy in the US. When I brought it home, I plugged it into an American outlet (I have them in my house in Brazil) and it stopped working after less than 1 minute.
At first, I thought: “It wouldn’t be fair to ask Best Buy for a refund — they sold me a brand-new product, and the problem was clearly with the machine.” So instead of returning it, I decided to reach out directly to Dyson, trusting that a company that prides itself on innovation and excellence would help me.
Unfortunately, Dyson refused to take responsibility. They told me that Dyson “does not operate in Brazil” (which is not true, since Dyson officially sells here, including through Amazon Brazil). They also insisted that they cannot provide support, repairs, or exchanges internationally — even though this is clearly a global brand issue, not a reseller’s fault.
The end result:
I spent almost $1,000 (R$ 5,000) on a premium device that never worked.
Dyson pushed me back to Best Buy instead of standing behind their own product.
Dyson Brazil, which sells the same products, denied support.
This is not what I expect from a company positioned as “best-in-class.” If Dyson wants to be a true global brand, it must also assume global responsibility. Right now, that’s not the case.
⚠️ My recommendation: Do not buy Dyson. If anything goes wrong, you may find yourself with no help and a very expensive piece of junk, as happened to me.

I've used another brand's version of this product with limited success so I didn't have super high hopes that my experience with the airwrap would be any better. I've watched several videos of people using the airwrap that made it look easy and the curls always came out so cute. I was surprised at how heavy the package was when I received it and then even more surprised at how beautiful the packaging was. Unwrapping this was like an experience. It comes in a nice sturdy container that can organize and house all of the attachments and still looks pretty. You get two sizes of airwrap curling attachments, a blow out style brush, a regular brush, an air straightner and the blow dryer attachment. The other brand did not come with as many attachments. The blow dryer attachment works amazing as does the brush and straightner. Super easy to use. I was surprised to see that the dyson turns itself off when it senses you set it down and turns back on when it senses you've picked it up which is a super neat feature. It's a very solidly designed product. The airwrap took a few tries to kind of get the hang of it but it's kind of fun to watch the hair wrap around. Curling my hair with the airwrap is a lot quicker than with a regular curling iron from my experience.

I got Dyson Airwrap Coanda for my daughter who just turned 12. she has absolutely LOVED it. she is straight hair that can get a wave when she sleeps on it. both her and I have used it quite a bit since receiving it.
My favorite is the blow dryer and the straightener. I have very long slightly wavy hair and it straightens it with easy from wet to dry.
we love the color, the rose gold purply color is so pretty and easy to find. I have also gotten to use the curling wands and it is amazing how pretty is makes the curls.
We love that it has a smart memory and RFID chip that changes the heat and the airflow to what you ended it with. So if I like the blow dryer setting at 3 air and1 heat. as soon as I attach my accessory, that is what the main base changes it to. the flat brush has also been really fun to use.
The only accessory that doesn't really work for my very fine long hair is the round brush. it does tangle a bit, but that is user preference!
All in All I would definitly recommend this product if you are looking for a new Dyson!
