I’ve been very impressed with the Dyson V10. It has plenty of suction for everyday cleaning and easily picks up dirt, pet hair, and debris from both hardwood floors and carpet. The cordless design makes it incredibly convenient—it’s lightweight, easy to maneuver, and I find myself cleaning more often simply because I don’t have to drag out a bulky vacuum or deal with a cord. Battery life has been more than adequate for cleaning my entire home on the standard power setting, and it charges back up fairly quickly. The dust bin is easy to empty, and the included attachments make it simple to clean stairs, furniture, and even my car. Overall, this is an excellent cordless vacuum that combines strong performance with convenience. If you’re looking for a powerful, easy-to-use vacuum for everyday cleaning, I would definitely recommend the Dyson V10.

We got this Dyson V10 Konical Vacuum because our current one just isn't picking up pet hair and such like it used to. It's been a very long time since we've owned a Dyson and wanted to give this one a shot. Really glad we did! The unit itself looks sharp, with the color scheme of black, red, indigo/purple and blue! This thing is also built like a tank! We've not had any issues with the battery running out before vacuuming the whole house. Suction is great - there's 3 levels, Eco, Medium and MAX. For pets and general use, we typically use it on Medium and have not had any problems. We have switched it up to MAX a few times in some more heavily trafficked areas. Beyond this, it does great on both carpet and bare floors. We love the green light because unlike other vacuums we own, it shows every little speck of dust, dirt, debris and hair - making it super easy to ensure nothing is missed. I will say that the first bin-empty was a bit tricky and just requires a little extra strength than one would initially think it would take in order to pop the handle up all the way. At first, we did not like how the compartment opened and it did take some getting used to. Afterwards, we love it because it just ejects the dirt out of the bin. No more digging around to get wound-up dirt and hair out of the cylinder area of the container! The overall noise of the unit under operation is about average. No annoying tonal areas or anything being too shrill (I have sensitive ears to certain tones and frequencies - some past vacuums have driven me absolutely crazy, haha). The vacuum is also not "heavy" to move forward and back, requiring little effort to move it - it glides very easily, regardless of the floor type. We do wish that there were a few extra attachments besides the two you get with the unit (especially given the price). You get a mini-motorized tool and a crevice tool...that's it. You also get a wall dock, but we've opted to not deal with hanging that at the moment. We really love this vacuum and it does it's job extremely well. The ONLY issue we have found with it and wish were done differently is, while the "power mode" button will blink when the battery is getting low, we've not found any actual physical battery level indicators anywhere. So, it's always a mystery exactly where your battery level is at when using or charging the device. Other than this small qualm...given the construction quality, sound level, how well it cleans and the price range it falls in, we would rate this as a solid 5/5. The wife LOVES it and yes, it does do exceptionally well with pet hair!

This was packed neatly, with all parts protected well. On unboxing, the vacuum unit itself really stood out with the colorful plastics. Included is the power vacuum unit, the wand, power floor brush, power upholstery brush, crevice tool, wall hanging bracket, charger, and some very basic guides. Looking it over, the fit and finish is excellent as well. Unpacked all the parts, and all components fit together perfectly. The wand snaps onto the vacuum unit firmly, and the floor unit onto the wand. The release buttons work perfectly to “unsnap” parts. The floor power brush pivots 90 degrees up and down, and 180 degrees side to side. The cover is easily opened for cleaning the brush of hair etc. The HEPA filter is easily removable, and is washable. The dirt bin door drops open and empties all dirt with the pull of the top lever. Also, there is a primary filter that pulls out of the top of the power unit. Charger can plug into the vacuum directly, however the vacuum can snap into the included wall mount, and will charge while docked. On to use... Fully charged the battery, and proceeded to test out the vacuum. Having a home with pets, it was certainly a thorough test. I found there are many excellent points with the vacuum, however, also some drawbacks. First thing I noticed is the light on the floor tool is a bright green – it really doesn't show hair, small specs, as well as a white light would do. The floor tool was easily maneuvered around with the amount of flexibility it has. But, I did not see as much “lifting” of the carpet as I would expect. But on smooth floors, this will do an excellent job. The vacuum unit itself was awesome. It has two power levels, and on high, it really pulls a lot of air (vacuum) through the tool and wand to pick up dirt. The battery is touted to be as much as 60 minutes, but I would think much shorter using it on high. The upholstery tool has a powered brush that does a super job of removing pet hair and dirt from upholstery. Crevice attachment is good on the low setting. However, the dirt bin is small, and will fill with hair and dirt quickly. Overall, would probably be 4 1/2 stars.... The floor tool would benefit from a little better brushing action, and would like to see a more detailed manual.

When the plastic trigger on our 5-year old V10 broke I replaced it with this updated model. No trigger. Buttons instead. Love the light. Can now see stuff I would have missed. Good battery life in green mode & plenty of vacuum suction. Glad I bought it.

I like the way it is lightweight and no electrical cords to plug in. You charge it before you use it. I love it.

I’m really enjoying this Dyson cordless vacuum. I have another one, but I kind of can’t get enough of this style of vacuum cleaner. The obvious best part of this vacuum is that it’s cordless. I can just pick it up and vacuum whenever I see something I want to vacuum. As much as I like a clean floor, I kind of dread the upright vacuum with the whole cord situation and having to rewind it when I’m done. Not to mention having to find an outlet that is ready to use. This thing is super easy to use. The All Floor Cones attachment works as advertised. There’s no hair wrapped around it after using it, ever. The mini motorized tool is amazing for vacuuming stairs. Now there’s a chore I hate doing. But now I can do it with this cordless vac, so it’s actually not a dreadful experience anymore. It’s the same kind of tool that I have on my upright corded vacuums, but now I don’t have to lug that up to the top of the stairs and work my way down. I can just carry this little thing up and it’s quite a bit easier. I have a cat litter box upstairs, so I have to vacuum up cat litter on my stairs, which isn’t fun. This same tool is great to vacuum on upholstered surfaces like couches or mattresses too. The third included tool is a crevice tool, which is a necessity for any vacuum. The attachments are easy to attach and detach, with the similar red button that is on other Dyson vacuums. Also included is an attachment to hang this cordless vacuum and the attachments up and out of the way. Now if I can find somewhere to put it with an electrical outlet nearby, I would be happy to attach it to my wall. The dirt bin is large enough so I don’t have to dump it out while I’m cleaning unless I want to. I do think it’s fun to pull the red trigger and drop the dirt into the trash can though! The vacuum has three speeds. With my carpet it seems that the first and lowest setting works fine on my Berber-type carpet. It may be different with a plush pile. There is a green night vision type light that shines on the floor with the All Floor cones attachment, which is the one that looks like a regular vacuum head with a wand attached to it. This unfortunately or fortunately shows you the debris that is on the floor that you probably didn’t see before. It does make it seem more like a game, because I want to see and vacuum up whatever I can. Maybe this is the incentive I need to vacuum more! This V10 vacuum does not have WiFi connectivity. I don’t know if any Dyson cordless vacs do, but my other cordless vac has it. All it does is tell me when the battery is finished charging, so it's not doing that much. As one of the lower priced Dyson cordless vacuums, I think this one works great and I’m very happy with it and how it functions. There are other attachments that you can buy if you have a special function in mind.

The Dyson V10 Konical Cordless Vacuum is quite the impressive machine! I do not understand how they made something so powerful, yet cut the cord and made it run off such a compact battery! We are able to vacuum the hard floors and carpet on our 4 bedroom home on a single charge with this vacuum! We have other models that plug in, and the V10 Koncial seems to be just as powerful, but without the hassle of having to plug in to the wall outlet. The most impressive feature outside of being battery powered has been the green light! Why does every vacuum not have this? It really helps you know when the surface you are vacuuming is clean! The green light does an amazing job of highlighting areas that are not yet clean, allowing you to focus on them. The compact size of this vacuum also makes it so easy to use, it is very agile and you can bend over much easier to get in those tight spaces and get them clean. The wall mount is a very nice added feature, and it has allowed us to store the vacuum much easier as well! This is definitely our new favorite and we will be using it daily!

About the Dyson V10 Konical The V10 Konical by Dyson is a new cordless vacuum designed to clean all floor types. It has three total accessories as well as three power settings for different cleaning modes. It illuminates dust and is designed to not get tangled by hair. What It Comes With It comes with the following: • V10 Cordless Vacuum • De-tangling Conical Head • Crevice tool • Mini Motorized Head • Wall Dock • Charging Cord My Impressions While Using My first attempt to use this lasted for about 30 minutes on a full charge on the standard power setting. It was well short of the advertised 60 minute runtime. I cleaned hardwood floors and my carpeted stairs. I thought the suction was really good for a cordless vacuum. The accessories were lacking in options. The crevice tool is a little short. There are no soft-headed wands or additional crevice tools. The conical head has a green illuminating light that was really useful, and made the effort much more satisfying. I could see all of the dust and dog hair and know that it was being collected by the vacuum. When I went to empty the canister, it was awkward. You have to pull up on the top off the canister just to have a lid on the bottom open. Part of my canister contents did not go into the trash can. The opening mechanism should be redesigned. I just need a release button. When storing the cordless system I notice that you can’t fit all of the accessories and vacuum on the wall dock. This was an oversight in design and is irritating because I have to find a place to store the mini motorized tool. What It Did Well • Suction – The suction is good. It’s a Dyson, so I would expect this. Suction was not the same as a corded upright, but very good for a cordless vacuum. • Illuminating Light - The illuminating light is awesome. This is my favorite specific feature. I was vacuuming my dining room virtually in the dark as it helped me to see at the dust and hair (I have two dogs) on the hardwood. What Could Have Been Better • Battery – It advertises 60 minutes. I got around 30 minutes. There are three settings for power, and the default is the middle. That’s what I used. Settings are shown by a light: Green – economical, Blue – Standard, and Red – High. • Canister Emptying – Emptying the canister is awkward. Have to move quite a bit of the canister to get the bottom lid to pop open. This would have been better as a button. • Accessories – The accessories are minimal. Other cordless vacuums in this price range come with additional accessories. Using this vacuum would not work well for completely detailing a car. What’s provided is enough to get the big areas. • Rollers Turn Off – The rollers in the head stop spinning when I bump into the wall or if I press down on the top while using it as a handheld. • Wall Mount – The wall mount seems a little flimsy and has an odd design. The mount has two holes that would work for storing accessories. Unfortunately, you can’t store the crevice tool and the mini motorized head at the same time. The holes are side by side, and the shape of the mini head prevents both from being stored side by side. I find this surprising for a company that pays attention to design. • Pinches – I was surprised that I pinched my hand changing the accessory tools. Just know that it’s possible. I’m giving the Dyson V10 Konical 3 stars. The suction is really good for a cordless system and the light illuminating dust is a really nice feature. However, the numerous other disappointments can’t be ignored. The battery overstatement is obvious and the other design issues keep me from giving it a higher rating. The main function of vacuuming is really good, but some redesign is needed to make this model exceptional.
