Not worth it, poor internet connection

I had to place it 3 ft away from an existing Eero pro 6 node in order to get it to work. Even when it was 3 ft away, as soon as u took 30 steps away, ur internet went down to only 2 bars. With the price of this item, I expected a lot more out of it. I would not recommend this product and ended up returning it within 14 days after talking to eero support 5+ times.

The optimal installation height for the eero Outdoor 7 is 6-15 feet above the ground. This ensures proper clearance for the WiFi signal to reach the furthest range. Avoid obstructions, such as large trees, grills, satellite dishes, etc. If your eero is placed high and away from obstructions, but still isn’t sending enough signal to your property, call eero customer service at (877) 659-2347 so they can troubleshoot further. They’re available Monday-Sunday 6am-8pm PT. I hope this helps. Have a great day!

WiFi radio waves do not travel as easily through metal as stucco, wood or other building materials, so make sure the Outdoor 7 isn’t operating near or on metal surfaces. Also avoid obstructions, such as large trees, grills, satellite dishes, etc. If your eero is placed high and away from obstructions, but still isn’t sending enough signal to your property, call eero customer service at (877) 659-2347 so they can troubleshoot further. I have contacted Eero and waiting for a solution. Didn't improve my signal to my video bird feeder outside. It is mounted at 8 foot on my pation with clear line of sight to birdfeeder.

It sounds like the eero Plus security is conflicting with your Norton. To troubleshoot this, you should turn off the advanced security features from eero Plus. To do this you’ll need to do the following: 1. Open the eero app. 2. Scroll to the Security & Privacy section 3. Tap the Advanced Security option. 4. Tap on Network controls 5. Toggle off the Advanced Security option. 6. Try to recreate the actions that caused the Norton attacker messages. If this solves the problem, call eero customer service at (877) 659-2347 so they can troubleshoot the conflict further. They’re available Monday-Sunday 6am-8pm PT. I hope this helps. Even with that, range was about 300 ft straight from the devic. the Orbi had much better range. I tried this several ways . i tried this due to the info which says 15,000 s.f The BB sales recommended this device.
