My very own printer!

It’s a good printer; my trusty old HP printer finally gave up on me last week. It had been with me through late-night college paper sessions, creative projects for the kids, and all my personal printing needs.
The cons are that they are very heavy to move around, and all color cartridges run out quickly.

WorkForce Pro connectivity

I have been a HP user for decades, but I always had the problem that the printer would lose its network connectivity with my computer. In comes the WorkForce Pro to save the day. The WorkForce Pro has not lost the connectivity with the computer for 2 weeks now, and whenever I need a scan or print something, it works everytime.
This WorkForce worked so well, I purchased the Letter-sized Scanner WF-4830 to replace my other HP Office Jet. I cannot say enough about how happy I am with the WorkForce Pro.

Its a good machine you can use up to 13x19 size paper despite the advertised 11x17
For regular letter prints its fast and reliable, it does get jammed if you dont load paper correctly minor bend in the corner can mess up your entire print which is not goo if your using heat transfer paper and the printing proccess for that taking about 10 min per print

This is an amazing printer. I have a design and contracting business that I run from home and this is the most ideal printer I’ve come across. You truly get value for your money. Not only is it cost effective, it also is very multifunctional. We needed a printer that was not too large and can print large construction drawings and this delivers beautifully. I would recommend highly this product!!!!!

Major Ink Drinker

I've had this printer for about 9 months now, so I have a good idea of what it can do. The great thing about it and the main reason I purchased it, is that it can print size 11x17. I don't need this size often, but its very convenient when an event comes up that needs signs or larger flyers. That being said, the ink issue outweighs anything positive about this printer. Again, I've had this printer for 9 months and in that time I've had to purchase ink at least six times (in addition to the start-up cartridges that came with it). According to the print counter on the printer, I've only printed 921 pages (601 color/ 320 black). And most of the time I have it on draft print or use less color. A set of ink cartridges runs around $100+, so not cheap! For that kind of money I could be going to a quality printer for my documents and still come out cheaper. Home printers are supposed to help you save, not cost you more. So, I WOULD NOT recommend this printer unless you just have lots of money to spend on ink. I'm looking for a much better option myself.

Great quality and options, not great networking

This gets four stars for the print quality, scanning quality, and available paper sizes (tabloid size is hard to find inexpensively). But, if those parts weren't as good as they are, it'd probably get a 2 or a 3 because of the squidginess of the setup. It constantly drops its connection to my home network, and to get it to work I have to bring up my tablet and set it up for direct printing. Once I do that, the network printing works fine everywhere. But i'm having to do that constantly.

Really appreciate the multi-functionality of this printer. It was a breeze to install, though setting up the fax, scanner, etc. was a bit tedious as the multiple menus and navigation aren't very intuitive. My last printer was an old stylus photo 1280 that I really loved, but all it's software and firmware had to be manually undated...but I had to remember to periodically check. I like that this new model will automatically alert me to required updates. Print quality is very crisp.

I purchased this WF-7820 to replace a 9 year old WF-7510 that decided that it wanted to retire and take on the functions of a boat anchor but I doubt that it will qualify. I am not a heavy volume user but so far I have found this printer to do all that I need it to do. I especially like the back feeder tray. A main drawback of the 7510 was you could not feed a single sheet for printing without removing and loading it in the main paper tray. I primarily use 8 1/2 x 11 paper but sometimes need legal or 11x17. The back tray makes it very easy to run a single sheet in the printer without having to remove the main paper tray. The double sided printing and scanning is another great improvement over the 7510. Another thing that I like about this printer is the automatic paper catch tray, which automatically comes out when the printer starts to print a page. I can't count the number of times that I forgot to pull out the paper catch tray on the 7510 before I started to printing. One thing that was not highlighted in the literature, you will need at least 10 -11 inch clearance behind the printer to fully extend the back paper tray. It was easy to set up with both wireless and USB connections. I have only had the printer for a month but so far I am very pleased with it.

I have not yet used it alot - It is replacing a WF-7720 that I messed up the black pipeline trying to fix the cyan pipeline. The motorized tray is cute - but really more of a gimmick than anything else. I have had a little more trouble with it and Windows agreeing on what paper it has in it - but that is really just a settings thing. I'd love to use an EcoTank version, but I just don't print enough to break even with printers only lasting 5-6 years.

Excellent, fast printer. Scan function works fine. Larger copy area means I'm now able to print/scan legal size and other document sizes other than 8.5x11 which will be quite helpful. Ink installation is similar to my previous Epson printer; charging the ink on this one, though, did not require a printout to paper.

The Printer itself works very well and one get get very large prints or scans (11"x17" at least). Prints so far are sharp and easy to read.
I wish set-up directions had been made a bit clearer and sometimes I think the controls are a bit over designed.
However, The final results in a print or a scan are excellent. The ink isn't cheap, but that is typical of almost all quality printers and I knew this before I decided on this model.
I had a similar Epson Printer before this one and it was also excellent, until too many years had past!

AMAZING printer for the price. Ink price is fair. This printer is easy to use and setup. It prints 11x17!! Great for a small/medium sized office. Printing speed is slightly on the slower side but this is an amazing printer for a PM like myself.

Good quality printer. It turned out to have a bigger footprint than I thought, but that my fault in not paying enough attention to the specs.
But I like the printer and of course it is multi-function. I have used most funt=ctions but not all and have had no problems.
Configuration was easy and connecting to the network was easy.

The Workforce Pro 7820 is very easy to set up and has been working seamlessly. Printing/paper feed from the tray and the cassette has been trouble free. The print quality meets high standards. It is easy to navigate the settings. This is the second workforce printer that I have owned and I highly recommend it.
