    Though I like the features of the Escort iX; real time on-screen speed monitoring, alerts in a given area through Escort Live, and the on-screen posted speed limits. Unfortunately, I found that the data base Escort uses, does not at the moment have any of the posted speed limits for the roads I most often travel. I have contacted Escort's support, and have requested that they include (in their data base) the roads I both live and work on. This was about 2 weeks ago, and as of this writing; I still see no posted speed limits on the detector's screen.

    Bought for road trip to replace 8500 model. Still figuring it out although I installed and split right out of the box and boogied down the interstate. Ka band worked great on OH bears. K band alerts from security systems in town but unit seems to automatically adjust after going by a few times. Like the soft female voice and ability to set unit screen color. Have yet been unable to get on Escort site for the live feature

    The reason I did not give 5 Stars is because this unit still gives false alarms when passing electronic doors but it is better than the one I returned

    Sniffs out K band well. If it is legit radar, you will know. But...also triggers alot on blind spot monitors from cars. Annoying.
