The Passport 9500ix provides the latest in GPS powered filtering with Truelock. A radar frequency filtering system, that permanently eliminates false alerts by location and frequency. The Passport 9500ix provides total coverage with X, K, Superwide Ka, International Ku and Safety Warning System (SWS) radar capability, combined with front and rear laser detection. The Passport 9500ix also introduces intuitive AutoSensitivity which increases the range as your speed increases. The 9500ix includes Autolearn software and a blue display.

I am very pleased with escort passport radar. I can't believe I waited A long as I did to finally put he's it. I have had a whistler and a uniden before purchasing the escort. I've always figured that it was too expensive and that I would be just paying for the name, but I was wrong! The next day after buying it I drove from Spokane WA to Seattle WA and I know i saved money by buying this radar. I could have had 3 speeding tickets which would have added up to 2 or 3 times the price I paid for the radar! I really like the mute button option on the plug. I just wish it had a power button too. I definitely would recommend this to anyone and to be honest I already have. If your debating spending the money , you need to stop and just do it! Buy it!

Owned for about a month, but have already used it on cross-country trip. Some city driving, but mostly highway. Extremely accurate, and not a lot of false alarms. Marks X and K Band areas that are not patrol activated, so after a few visits through those areas, they are marked as such, and ignored on future visits. Highly recommend this, and DO connect to their free initial update service for GPS accuracy on fixed cameras, etc. I don't use the Bluetooth connection to Escort Live (yet), but thinking about it. Very quiet when it needs to be, and fits firm and well on my very slanted windshield. Have a Mercedes SLK with very small back window, but 360 monitoring seems very accurate, thus far. Would buy again. Ka band is nearly perfect with very good range. Wish it came with the Bluetooth (Live) cord, but guess that's their game to get you to spend just a little more money. Pricey equipment, but worth it. Can't compare to other units, as this is the first detector I've had in about 20 years. Did a lot of research though, and this one is the best value, imo. No experience with Laser yet. Factory defaults are best overall settings, except have added speed to the monitor, and abbreviated the Auto settings. I use Waze app (iPhone) also, and recommend that in combination with this unit if you don't want to upgrade to Live.

If you are driving locally and on highways, this would be a worthwhile investment. The sensitivity of this detector is amazing. It is able to store false alarms after a few passes (so none of that annoying constant beeping) and starts beeping early enough that you have time to reduce your speed. It also lets you know the signal strength so you know how far out you are. It's easy to install and the LED display is very clear as well. Another great feature is being able to update the latest speed and traffic light camera information.

Second time purchasing the 9500ix

Loved the first 9500ix i purchased, lets you block out signals, notifies you of red light cameras, and speed traps. My car was stolen, along with my 9500ix. It was so good, I purchased the same model to replace it. It gives long range warning of radar, without a ton of false alarms. If a motion sensor, such as a automatic door or drive thru, sets it off two clicks of the button on the power plug blocks that signal for good.

So far so good. The Passport 9500ix radar is a good system combined with front and rear laser radar detection capability which keeps me in the know. Remembers all the photo enforced lights and alerts me to slow down as I sometime forget about my lead foot.

Upgraded from the 8500 x50

Let me start with the fact that the 8500 x50 is a Great Radar Detector! The reason for upgrading to the 9500ix is the GPS for traffic cameras, learning for false detection for say maybe store alarms and other interference. The radar is a smart radar; it learns and tracks the location of these false alerts based on location (GPS) to eliminate those same false alerts in the future (Voice Alert Notification). It also indicates your speed when it detects radar. Purchased this right before my road trip to Atlanta for ImagingUSA 2016. This radar lived up to the hype and more. If you are reading this review; buy the 9500ix...

Going from a cheap radar detector that only picked up radar from grocery store parking lots to this beast was amazing. Range is amazing on the highway. In city range is touch and go but will pick up the radar signal. To all who are wondering. IF a cop is running radar it WILL pick it up. But if the cop is not running radar it will not tell you a cop car is near from the flake in the paint. Overall great product and would recommend this to anyone.

Had a Passport Solo for a few years then upgraded to this. It eliminates the annoying false alarms I ususual had with the Solo. Detection range is quite far. The last long trip I used it on was from San Jose to Las Vegas. It did go off when there was CHP within its detecting range, however I would not depend on it totally due to the fact that instant-on lazer would still lock your speed in without the detector detecting it.

This device is simple to setup and use. It seems to be more sensitive than my Passport 8500 was. I used them side-by-side for a while and the 9500 picked up threats a hundred yards or so farther away than the 8500. I'm pretty sure that this device has saved me from at least two tickets so far. The only downside so far is that it picks up collision avoidance and blind spot monitoring radar and doesn't distinguish between it and real threats. This is not a big problem, but it is a bit irritating.

Have been using this for one moth. The sensitivity is excellent - some times can pick up Ka one half mile away. The only downside is the numerous false alarms. But once you learn the different types of signals you can distinguish between false and positive reading. The lockout feature is great, espeially since you can use the CLA plug to mute and lockout. The windshield mount is a little flimsy, considering the cost of the unit. Will look to upgrade to a better one.

I admit, I was a skeptic about radar detectors. After a lot of research, I settle for this model -9500ix. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for. It is precise, and it won't annoy you. I trust this product 100%. I'd recommend it to family and friends. Well worth the money spent.

This thing is awesome! I had a Passport 7500 for years. I got a new car and decided to upgrade. The 7500 was killing me with false alerts. Then I took a lap around a lot of the US covering 4900 miles during my trip. The 9500 saved my tail at least 20 times. The range on the thing is insane!

Awesome radar!!! I bought this to repace a belltronics I had that was going out, just so happens I was going to take a long trip down to McAllen,Tx from Indianapolis,IN. Let me tell you I made it there and back with no speeding tickets (Yay!!). This thing detected police from at least 2 miles, at one point when it was going off I thought I went by the cop, then a couple miles down the road there he was waiting for the unsuspecting victim. I love the fact that it detected red light cameras, how many ft away it was and it what direction they were at. It will also lock out a false alarm, so it wont go off next time your in the area. Auto dim works like a charm. It's a loud radar, which is good if you like listening to your radio at high volumes and low enough to not wake anyone in the car if they're sleeping. I got this on a good deal with the best buy price match. Best Buy I've made.

I love the sensitivity of this detector. That's usually the defining criteria for me. If it doesn't have great range, the police will see me before I can slow down. This one goes off at close to a mile as far as I can tell. Would definitely recommend!

Love the radar detector, good range providing decent lead time to radars.
The auto signal cancellation works great but it takes a little while before that database deletes all the false alarms. I've had the unit about a month now it has refined itself to the point where if it goes off I can be pretty sure there is a radar out there.

It is cheaper than some of the others out there, but still has a lot of features. I don't have the data cable yet to take full advantage of the GPS features, but it does warn of red light cameras. Overal easy to use and has a long range

I've always sworn by Escort radar detectors. My other detector is a 9500i so my wife purchased the new 9500ix with GPS and the ability to save false alarm signals. It actually learns and stores the false signals in the areas most traveled. And, any signal can be manually blocked and saved. I do a lot of highway driving and it has worked perfectly. I leave it on highway at all times and it rarely has a false signal. I purchased the direct power cord so I could eliminate the lighter cord. I highly recommend this product to anyone needing a great radar detector.
