I got the baby monitor on sale at Best Buy. It does not connect via Internet and connection between the camera and the monitor is encrypted so I have a peace of mind. Image quality is 720p so it's just decent, but since the display is just 5", the image quality turns out not too bad. I don't need 4k quality for baby monitoring purpose so this isn't a deal breaker for me. Camera can tilt 360* providing you with an overview of surrounding and every corner is covered. It comes with a two USB cables, one short and the other longer so that you can manage the cords for your camera. I don't have an issue with room temperature so that's good.

    Secure Baby Monitor

As a parent you want to keep your kids safe and secure, and a baby monitor is an important tool to help you accomplish that. Over the years, as an uncle and now a parent, I have used quite a few baby monitors and by far we love the Eufy Security Spaceview Monitor. The Eufy baby monitor stands apart from my current baby monitor in its video, image, sound, signal range, battery life, user interface and probably the most important of all, security. So, lets go over some of the features, Pros and Cons of the Eufy Security Spaceview Baby Monitor. -Unboxing and Setup In the box you get 1 Pan, Tilt and Zoom capable camera with a built-in microphone and speaker, along with a monitor with a 5inch and 720p display, two USB to Micro USB cables, two power adapters, and corner mounting bracket. The setup is simple, the camera comes already paired to the monitor but in case it isn’t all you have to do is go to the menu options on the monitor and select add camera and press the sync button on the camera and your good to go. -Features - Signal Range-The Eufy baby monitor features 1000 feet of wireless coverage, and to test that out i placed the camera in my daughters’ room and on the second floor of the house and walked around my whole house which is about 2400sq ft and it worked great without losing signal. -Camera- The camera on this unit records at 720p and pans 330 degrees, tilts 110 degrees and has an available zoom up to 2x. The camera has a built-in microphone and speaker so you are able to clearly hear and communicate with your child. Also, the camera has a pretty good night vision mode. -Monitor- The monitor boasts a large 5-inch 720p display with a very clear and sharp display and has a 5200 mAh battery to last you 30 hours on default settings. My usage with my personalized settings and the display being on constantly, I was able to get close about 10 to 12 hours of usage. Also, the audio quality on both the camera and monitor are great. -Security- For me personally security is the biggest concern especially in todays day and age where you hear all these horror stories about people hacking into baby monitors and talking to your kids. This baby monitor employs FHSS (Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum). So, imagine the video signal as a car on a highway and the car keeps switching lanes on its way to its destination. It would be very difficult to intercept the car unless you know the pattern of switching lanes. It would be difficult for someone to hack into a baby monitor that employs this technology. - 5 Lullabies -Temperature All in all this is a great baby monitor. It has a nice large and clear display with a user-friendly interface that I know has a secure video stream. I would recommend anyone looking for a baby monitor to check out the Eufy Security Spaceview monitor.

    Capable Non-Wifi Baby Monitor

SUMMARY ------- Its a good Non-Wi-Fi Baby monitor which comes with the camera and it's dedicated monitor screen (Portable like a phone). It has a good sound alerting system and the camera resolution is excellent with a good night vision. PROS ---- 1. Love the sound monitoring, perfect for baby crying and it instantly alerts on the screen. 2. Good night vision 3. Big 5 inch display 4. Wide angle lens CONS ---- 1. No Wi-Fi and cant use the phone to monitor. 2. No Motion sensor SETUP ----- Since there is no Wi-Fi to be setup, the camera pairs with the monitor like a plug and play. Charge the display monitor and you are good to go. I choose to connect the wide angle lens to the camera as i tend to keep the camera at a distance from my kid so that he does not grab it. The Camera clarity during day time is pretty good and i like the night vision as well. The range works pretty much every where inside the house and i wished it had Wi-Fi as i could have gotten alerts on my phone while in the backyard! The camera can pan and tilt so you can see the entire room. I like the two way audio but i tend not to use it because i dont want my kid to hear my voice and start crying :) I do however like to see my son cooing. I think for the price it is a good device and since it is a closed loop system, its secure, But i wished there was Wi-Fi.

So my wife and I are in what is called a sandwich generation. We have a parent that lives with us and have 3 young kids. So this product allows us to keep an eye on our parent as needed and our kids as needed when they are sick or are scared. Pros: Long range. Worked throughout my house no issues. Quick set-up Easy to use Comes with all required hardware Closed loop system harder to hack. Compact units. PTZ capability. 2 way audio capable. Night vision capable. Cons: Mobile monitor will only last 2 nights with full charge Does not support cell phone app monitoring (closed loop system). Night vision infrared can be annoying. My kid said it bothered him and he could not sleep because of it. My parent didn't notice the infrared light. Overall great product. Would also be great for babies too. I would recommend this product.

We were using he Google Hub and Nest IQ cam. "Hey Google Show the Kids Room" and it works. But for some reason randomly it stops working. It works more often than it doesn't but when it doesn't work, it seems like it's the worst time for it to fail. Kiddos is sick, kiddo exploded out of the diaper and didn't hear the cries until it's a full blown meltdown. In comes the Eufy. I know there's a bunch of security concerns with Eufy now a days but I'd imagine this being pretty safe. Unless there's a cell chip in the unit I'd imagine this is fully offline. Picture quality is pretty good, but not as good as I'd like. Wish it was at least 1080p. Sound and battery aren't horrible either. In fact the battery in particular is amazing. The battery is surprisingly excellent. All night and some of screen on time. We originally turned off the screen time out feature so we can see the kiddo all night but then we decided to use it as a secondary monitor. Looks weird on the wall having two mounted cameras but we can continue to watch the kiddo when we're at work and use the Eufy as a sound monitor. We set the screen time out to 60 seconds. Makes it easy to use when we travel too. We can just bring the Eufy along.

    Great Everyday Baby Monitor

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The Eufy Security Baby Monitor 720 is easy to set up, use, and its private transmission adds privacy. Great as an everyday baby monitor, it can also be used as a small security camera.. Eufy, an Anker brand, looks to add more economical choices to your home monitoring electronics with the Monitor 720. Out of the box, the monitor looks like an Amazon Echo Show and comes with the needed power adapters and power cords. The monitor differentiates itself from the Echo Show by the buttons the baby monitor has next to the 5" screen. These buttons are to move the 360° camera in all directions, and also has a button to speak through the camera to your baby. Also, there's the menu button that allows you to choose different settings, such as screen brightness, set an alarm, and screen timeout. The monitor turns on easily by pressing and holding the on button for less than 3 seconds. The screen goes into sleep mode at the time setting you choose, but you're still able to hear sound. While in sleep mode, you press the power button once, and the screen turns on quickly. Next to the power is a zoom button that allows you to zoom in 1.5X, 2.0X, and go back to 1.0X. The volume controls are slo on the side of the monitor. One of the top features I liked about this monitor is its 720p resolution and how well the transmission adapts between light/dark or night and day. Using it at night first, I noticed the grayscale color because of night mode. However, when I turned on the monitor after laying the baby for a nap during the day with the room lights on, I realized the rich color the transmission provides. Although when zooming in does not provide the best detail since its in 720p resolution, it does allow for seeing enough detail from 4-5 feet away from the camera to a baby to tell if a baby's eyes are open or if they're breathing (using this as a reference for resolution detail). While testing, I also noticed the range of the device was great. I was able to test from over a hundred feet away (various walls room walls and an exterior wall in-between) and did not lose signal to the camera. Another thing I liked is that you can set lullabies to play from the monitor through the camera speaker and can set a time duration or make the amount of songs available to stay on repeat. Adding on to the list, I also noticed while moving, tilting, and using zoom via the camera through the monitor only it a little noise is produced from this. Compared to others I've used before, the noise the camera makes from panning it could cause my baby to wake up. Testing this while my baby was asleep, did not wake him up. Definite peace of mind in that regard! Most importantly, the Eufy Security Monitor is able to add or delete cameras, with the availability to switch between multiple devices while being a privately secure connection. The downside to this is that you're not able to view or control the cameras from your phone using Wi-Fi, but again, that is what keeps this set-up secure since it is only controlled via the Security Monitor. After having and using an audio only baby monitor, I can definitively say a video monitor helps greatly. I would highly recommend this product to new parents, being that the high quality demonstrates it will last for years to come and that one is able to extend the camera connections. You can essentially build a private home security system to watch over your kids in different rooms while at home.

Great camera. The mount is my only complaint as it doesn't allow the camera to look down, is small, and is really designed more to be mounted than placed on a flat surface. The image quality is great as is the range and battery life on the screen unit.

The battery for the monitor lasts all night. The image is clear. There are a lot of ways to place it and you can even zoom in if you need to. We just transitioned our son to his toddler bed and I wanted a way to see the whole room, just to be safe if he got out of the bed or something. It really gives a full view of the room and provides so much peace of mind. Definitely a great purchase. I wish we had gotten this one the first time we bought a monitor.

We actually have a Nanit camera also, but I bought this so that we can have something that's a bit easier to travel around with that gives my parents and my in-laws who are caring for our child and are less tech-savvy an easier alternative than all the technology that goes into our fancier camera. Benefits are the rotating feature and the no-wifi connectivity. Only cons are not having a wide angle lens, which means you have to mount the camera in a very high position to very a crib, as well as having to connect a wire for the camera that is difficult to hide away.

I took some time researching baby monitors and ended up buying this one. It was easy to set up and has a lot of settings. I was able to get a signal as far as the sidewalk across the street. My wife and I didn't want to use one with WIFI since those ones could be hacked. It does a good job picking up sound and keeping track of the room temp. You can talk through it, play lullabies, zoom, and move the camera around. The only complaint is that there's a delay between pushing the directional buttons and moving the camera which makes it tough to center the camera sometimes.

I'd honestly pay more for a higher quality resolution for the monitor. However, the picture quality is more than capable of displaying what you need to know when you need to see it. No lag because you're not dealing with an app-connected device. Press the screen wake button and it's on within 2 seconds. One caveat, the speaker feedback is louder and more annoying than I thought. Even when I am a floor below or above the camera, I can hear significant feedback with each level of volume raised. It's loud enough that you will have trouble sleeping if you are a light sleeper. A small price to pay for the benefits it has and I have found a volume level that minimizes the feedback while still allowing me to hear if my child needs anything.

We have been using this for 18 months. It's a fantastic non-wifi camera. We have used it camping several times as well, or during travel. A huge plus is that it easily runs off of a usb battery pack, which we've done a few times. It doesn't take that much power either, so I can usually get 6-10 hours on a 5,000 mah battery.

The BEST Camera as long as your ok with not having it on your phone when you’re away. Personally, I’m a stay at home mom so it’s perfect. Taking it out of the box it’s already ready to go! No setting it up. I love that I can take it with me if I want to. I’ve had a Motorola one (I think it was) before that connects to the phone and honestly I purposely looked for one that didn’t connect to the phone. I’m able to still use my phone without having to switch to that app. Night vision is great, and I love that it you can set it so it beeps when she cries or makes a loud noise. I don’t have another camera connected but definitely would if I needed to. My FAVORITE thing is that I can move the camera with the monitor! So it doesn’t have to be perfectly aligned when you put it down. Recommend to everyone. I’ve been using it for almost a year.

Met my needs. The image is good. I like the camera directional control and zoom features when you want peace of mind to movement. The songs are ok and wish the volume had more variables. I do appreciate the proprietary wifi but wish it also had capability of viewing through a phone app. Also, there is about a second delay that creates an echo. Lastly, it would be nice if it came with a crib mount in addition to the wall mount to give placement options. The product is good but I feel there are others that offer better or more.

Easy to use and gives peace of mind that it doesn't have phone connectivity. Yes, for some that may be an inconvenience, but it's comforting to know you have to have the base to use the cameras. The only thing we don't like is that if you have more than one camera connected to one base and switch between the two frequently, if you zoom in on one camera, it zooms in on the other as well. Must be strictly a software zoom on the screen level rather than hardware zoom at the camera level

This baby monitor has the longest range so it doesn’t beep however far I am from the cam in the house versus like HubbleConnect. Monitor connects and controls the cameras viewing angle with ease. Downside it doesn’t have higher resolution like 1080p or a mobile app.

Not perfect, some audio fadeouts, but a good value

I picked up a pair of the Google Pixel Buds last week. Pretty much immediately after pairing them to my Pixel 3XL, I experienced the "audio fadeouts" in one, and then both, ear buds. It was intermittent, but annoying. I tried to update the software, but it was up-to-date. I called Google support and they were very helpful. In the end, they recommended that I return the buds and get a new pair (or upgrade to the newer series A bud). I opted to simply replace the Pixel Buds, rather than get the series A version (because I like the ability to use touch control for volume, wireless charging, etc.). I am happy to report that the replacement set of Pixel Buds I received yesterday appear to be far superior to the first set. I have only had one 'fadeout' - but it was associated with me moving my head quite a bit during exercise. It quickly repaired the connection and things were fine.
