Goes through an encryption process then unable to play video message. Many Google posts of same unresolved issues since 2023. Eufy customer service unable to resolve...they say their technical team working in it... waiting over one week.

Battery life not great so far, but good besides.

I've adjusted the settings to see if I can increase it since I've had to charge at 9 or 10 days. If you have doorbell wiring, then power should be less of an issue. Picture quality is good and all other functions are good, but for a doorbell camera to be useful it should last for a few months on a charge.

Solid performer

Uses local memory instead of cloud like my previous Nest doorbell, so there is no monthly fee. I have not found a way to find out how much memory is left. Many alerts if you are working in yard near door, but they are easy to erase in app. I chose this one because of battery and wired. Previous one was wired but depended on internal battery for power when doorbell was pushed. When that battery failed, it went offline when doorbell was pushed. This does not have that flaw and battery is replaceable if necessary. Picture quality is good.

App does not work

After a while, the app continued to crash to the point that I could not keep it open long enough to view events or see live footage at the door. Go to the Google Play Store and notice almost all recent app reviews are negative. Positive reviews are a few years old. Maybe an unresolved app update is the problem? Either way, I am disappointed, and Best Buy should consider the impact of associating their name brand with Eufy.

Seems like it takes too processing power to write to the sd card, so much so that live feeds will not even pull up. Love their other cameras so got the two camera doorbell and having a much better experience.

Went offline and couldn’t recover
