Others stream in lossy compression formats like Ogg Vorbis, which has audible artifacts. With over 100M songs, you should be able to find everything you're looking for with Apple Music, even obscure and indie stuff. While some content is streaming platform specific (for Apple Music and others), just about every song is available. The "Listen Now" feature is a decent enough curated playlist of suggested songs and artists. I honestly don't think other platforms are any better at this, but that's just my opinion.
