I initially purchased this dehumidifier on advice from friends for my basement to keep the mildew smell My hot water tank leaked during the holidays and I returned to a foyer full of water. After cleaning, I put my dehumidifier in the room to help wick away the moisture and it is doing a great job! It is not loud and easy to remove water from the container.

It is easy to operate and appears to be working very well. If it continues to perform well I over the nett three years, I would rate it as excellent.. It was easy to change from bucket to a floor drain. My previous frigidaire died after three years. I avoided buying the same model. This is the newest model in its capapcity, and appears to be very promising.

Georgia's summer heat & its humidity was taking its toll on my basement. I needed a dehumidifier desperately. I was hesitant to purchase this one because of it's higher cost to several other brands/models on the market. But I read and compared numerous model specs plus read the countless reviews and decided to purchase. Very glad I did! Dependable product and easy to use/maintain. It certainly performs to Frigidaire standards & worth every penny!

This one is one of the best dehumidifier that i have used. I had to have it running throughout spring as my basement got very humid and this did a wonderful job in controlling the humidity. The pest problems that i was seeing due to humidity was quickly resolved with this one keeping my basement dry. I'd highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a good functional dehumidifier

Great performance, quiet, easy to use. No assembly required and lightweight

I grow migrogreens in my garage and if it gets too humid the crops can get moldy. This little machine cranks. Yes it does get a little warmer when using it, but for me warm is better than wet. I have no problems emptying a full bucket. It does drip a little on the floor but I use it on concrete. May be a deal breaker for someone. I love the settings and being able to adjust to different humidity levels.

I bought this unit for my basement which is over 400 square feet .This unit does an excellent job at keeping the humidity level at 55% with continuous draining.It performs very well and looks very well built.Within one hour of installation, the damp odor that caused me to purchase a dehumidifier began to disappear.You cannot go wrong by purchasing this particular brand.

I researched several dehumidifiers before settling on this one. For the price range, size and sq. footage covered you can't beat it. Performance is great, when it's running it sounds like a fan set on high but I actually like white noise so that's not an issue for me. Dumping the water is easy, it also has the option to run a hose to drain. Most importantly it works great!

This new model looks even better than the one that I brought last year. Done some research, it earned solid marks across the board on one of the leading magazine. I only wish the bucket is a little bit bigger. I also recommend to go with larger capacities (60-pint or above). Do not lift with the bucket handle when full or you will break it. Happy with it so far.

I purchased this to replace a very old dehumidifier that ran constantly and was noisy. This seems very energy efficient and is much quieter. The top handle also makes it very easy to move around.

I use this for my basement. It's quiet. Love the controls. It really sucks the water out. My basement is so dry now. It's more than 2000 sq feet. Took a couple days to get down to 45%. I recommend attaching a hose because the bin doesn't hold enough and u don't want to keep dumping the water 3 times a day. Great buy and I got it 20% off too!

The humidifier was easy to set up. We drain it directly into the sump pump well, which is nice because then we don't have to drain the basin. The humidifier works almost silently, which is nice because we don't have to turn it off when we are watching TV in the basement like we used to have to with the old humidifier. In addition, the humidity in the basement has been perfect. Great product.

Excellent performance, low noise, easy water removal.

Plugged it in and 24 hours later I emptied a full bucket of water. Keeps the whole area at less than 45% humidity even when outside is over 90%. Turns itself off when the bucket gets full and waits to be emptied. Has run almost continuously for over a month and musty odors are gone. I would definitely buy it again.

I bought this dehumidifier in August of 2015. It's for a lower level living area that is less than 500 sq ft. The unit is sleek and clean looking so it'll match most decors. It does have a continuous gravity port but does not include a hose. It has a removable, washable filter. It does work well. It was able to keep my lower level dry and fresh smelling. ( There is a 3/4 bath and laundry room). Was able to maintain a great level of humidity and prevent mold or mildew. It is a little on the noisy side and would have to turn it off for movie nights. I like that it shuts off once it hits it's targeted percentage. I used this for about 4-5 months a year and in my application it does not need to run continuously. At 5 years it died. It gets an error code of 'FO'. You can try to clear it by cleaning the filter and unplugging it to reset. If it comes back, it's toast. There is no fix the unit will need to be replaced. I guess dehumidifiers life expectancy is 5-10 years so this technically squeaked in there. It died Fall 2020. But considering it was not continuous use, I'd expect a little bit more.

We purchased this to try and rid a musty smell in an unused bathroom. It did the job after running continuously for 2 days. This now sits in the basement and it takes the humidity from 50-70% down to 25-30% in a matter of a couple minutes.

This is w great dehumidifier that does the job just as advertised. Works automatically to the preset that you desire. Shuts off automatically if you are not using the supplied hose adapter when full and flashes a light.

My Frigidaire FFAD5033R1 has been running for over a month now, and no complaints. Relatively quiet, fan quits when programmed humidity reached, and hose drain option is working great. Keep up the good work, Frigidaire! Great price, Best Buy!

Old one broke down after 5 years. This one is much quieter and works better. Use a hose for direct discharge into sump. Humidity level in basement went from 63% to 45% in just a couple days. Plus, it gives off a small amount of heat.

Just purchased this unit 1 month ago to have a 2nd dehumidifier in my basement. I have a very small unit on one end close to where we generally are and this mid sized unit on the opposite end of the basement. This has been working pretty well, the basement is large and when we ran one unit at one end i get slightly different humidity readings on each end. The small unit helps out but is not so large or loud. This unit while a little louder is not an issue where it is and definitely does most of the work.
