Customers are saying
Customers are positive about the 70-Pint Dehumidifier's performance, noise level, humidity control, and ease of use, with many praising its effectiveness at removing moisture and its quiet operation. However, customers are negative about the small water tank capacity, which requires frequent emptying, and some express concerns regarding the warranty coverage. The price is also mentioned favorably by some users. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs the negative comments on the water tank and warranty.

Working great so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Working great so far... will see if it lasts. I need to set up the hose because it can be annoying to have to empty the water while I am in the busy season of my job and not home much.

great so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.after about of month of use, this unit is working great in our basement. area was humid after heavy rains and the old dehum died. The 70 pint unit quickly reduced humidity from 60 to 50 in one day. i like the ability to change fan settings, medium is noticeably quieter than high. Before writing this review i had to reduce the humidity setting to be sure it was still working. The hose drain connection is great, was a factor in choosing. The different air in/out positions from typical units may be a factor for other people but not a problem for me.

A good product that's simple to use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's been a while since I purchased a dehumidifier, so I wasn't sure what was out there. I've had a good experience with a recent Frigidaire dishwasher purchase and saw that they also made a small dehumidifier. The price was right, and the set-up was pretty easy. Because you can attach a drain hose to the unit, you don't have to worry about emptying it's storage bucket constantly. The hookup is very straightforward, and it's been working perfectly since I applied power. It's being used in an unfinished basement environment, but is pretty quiet. So far, I've been really satisfied with the product.

Dry Basement!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this dehumidifier after needing a mold abatement in my basement. I had a smaller one, but it wasn't doing the trick; hence the mold. This Frigidaire is easy to use, quiet, and my basement is finally dry. I have a hose attached and set it to turn off at a certain humidity level. Compared to other dehumidifiers, I think this was a very fair price for the unit.

Excellent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had another manufacturer unit previously, I like this one better,I like its appearance, it's quiet and is more efficient than the earlier unit. The only negative is I wish the tank was larger as I am emptying unit and not plumbed to waste which is a unit option. Nice quality, and works really well in my basement. I did buy extended warranty as it runs 24x7

Great Dehumidifier
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a work horse, very reliable. Tried Craftsman Dehumidifier and its broke within a month. The Frigidaire is low maintenance and does the job. It's quieter than other dehumidifiers. In deciding whether to get the 50 or 70, get the 70. It refers to the speed/efficiency that the humidity is removed from the room; the size of the unit is the same.

Great Hard Working Dehumidifier
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this dehumidifier to replace another one that had been recalled and was taking too long to get to me. I had a 50 Pint and was debating between 50 and 70. After reading about the differences, it seemed like the 70 will pull out more water quicker and should reduce the overall electrical usage – we’ll see. The unit is fairly quiet and very easy to use. I leave the fan on low. The only thing I don’t like is the constant on/off of the fan to check the humidity level. Hooking up the hose to have continuous drain was easy. As noted in other comments, the air intake is at the rear of the unit and not at the front where the bucket is. With this in mind the unit will be taking in air from the wall side so you will need a lot of room between the wall and the unit. The discharged air flows out of the right hand side of the unit and it comes out strong. I was able to get this on sale so the price difference between the 70 pint vs. 50 pint was about the same, so I went with the 70. It does reduce the humidity quickly. So far so good. I bought the extended 4 year warranty since as many reviews have mentioned the overall quality of dehumidifiers has decreased greatly.

Working great in finished basement
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this as a replacement for a dehumidifier that stopped working last year - and seemed to run constantly. I went up in size to this 70 pint thinking that may help. It has been working great. It is a little noisy and you don't want to be right next to the blower, but doing the job great. I have a hose connected to a drain and have had no problems with leaks or water going in to bucket instead - and issue with past dehumidifiers. At times seems to go off and on a lot, but doing good job of maintaining set moisture level

Good overall....bucket could be larger
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After having a LG humidifier for 8 years and finally biting the dust I figured I try this one. I went by reviews and thought Frigidaire was a reputable company. So far there is only one complaint. The bucket is too small and and have to empty it more often then my old LG. I would empty my old unit once a day (bigger bucket), where this unit I empty two or three times a day. Both units I set at 50% humidity. Otherwise this unit runs well. Noise is not a factor for me, since mine is used in the basement, but it would be loud upstairs in the home. I think all humidifiers are loud though because the job they perform.

Dependable and Reasonably Quiet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own the previous version of this Frigidaire dehumidifier. This one is better. Quieter and with a slightly smaller footprint. Also this one vents to the right when facing the unit (instead of up in the previous version) which I prefer. However, the water reservoir on this newer model is smaller than the previous one, thus it is quicker to auto shut-off as the water fills the tank. Another minor down side: when on timer, you can't see the humidity rating. Otherwise, this is a good unit.

Efficient Dehumidifier
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great at pulling moisture out of our 1000 sq ft basement. Easy controls, maintains humidity % well and not too loud for the size of the machine. Well worth the money. Had purchased a cheaper brand in the past and can tell the different in quality and worth the extra money to get a better unit.

sure reduces humidity
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A little bit loud and heats the room but removes the humidity which is why I bought it. It is in the basement, so the heat and noise are not issues. I have it set at 50% so I empty the bucket two times a day, could probably do it 3 times. Worth every penny, basement is much more comfortable and when I get tired of watering the plants, I will buy a hose and direct the water down a drain. If you don't mind the noise, you get used to it, and don't mind a warm air flow the whole time it is running this is the product. I like it and would recommend it for the basement.

Great Dehumidifier for a medium sized room
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to lower the humidity in my home and motorhome. After returning from a recent trip I noted a musky smell as I walked into my home. I checked a bunch of things and discovered that the humidity was over 70% inside the home. This devise has been in constant use for two weeks, removing excess water vapor from the air. It has operated flawlessly and I recommend for anyone wishing to reduce the humidity of a house or motorhome.
