Setup was very straightforward. Connection to the WiFi was fairly easy while the connection to the Google Assistant while completed was a little more troublesome but not impossible.
Within 2 hrs my hygrometer had dropped from 51% to 46%. After 8 hours it had dropped to 42%. During this time I emptied that water bucket of a substantial amount of water.
It has proven it's worth so today I ran a drain line through the wall and I am now in a set it and forget mindset.
The purpose for the purchase is my desire to keep humidity constant as I am putting in bamboo floors and I now have peace of mind that my floor investment will be safe.

We had a Friedrich before. It had the built in pump which was nice, but it was really noisy. It quit so we decided to try this one. It didn't have a pump, but we bought a condensate pump which sits on the floor behind the unit and pumps the condensate to the bathroom sink. I pull the stopper on the sink so I can see how much water it collects and it's amazing how fast that sink fills up. We have a 3K foot house and live in soggy central Texas and it keeps things great, right around 50%. This one also doesn't put out near as much heat as the old one.

My basement was damp from condensation on central air ducts. Works great and no moisture issues any longer.

I am very pleased with this dehumidifier. It has made a huge difference in the dampness of my basement. It has a large bucket and is easy to remove the water. The wifi notifies me when the bucket is full. Runs fairly quietly. Unit shuts off when bucket is full. Buttons are on the front and are very easy to use. You can adjust the level of humidity.
Great dehumidifier! Love it!

I did my fair share of research when my 2007 LG 70 pint started throwing error codes and would no longer do its job, and cam across a lot of different makes and models, and ultimately purchased the unit based on others reviews- so thank you other buyers :)
IMO I think the features, benefits, price, and reviews make this unit the right fit for my basement- 1600sf with plenty of organized storage. I think what really matters is the units capacitors- 70 pints is a lot of water extraction in a 24-hour period.
I personally sell higher end residential and light commercial dehumidifiers and think that if your basement just has a high RH but does not have any standing water (aka: bulk moisture), than this device will do the job just fine. Hence, if your home does reside in a high water table area, has a sump pit and pump that runs throughout the year, then I think you’ll want to invest into a larger capacity unit that can extract the moisture from within the air and actually shut-off for periods of time- if not, these little buggers will overheat your basement and spin your electric meter round and round through the warmer months of the year.

Frigidaire DeHumidifier Really Helps Pull Water

This dehumidifier really works. My son had a mold problem in his apartment so installed one of these and it definitely made an impact. You can actually feel the difference in the air and can see the results in how much water it actually pulls from the air. I was so impressed that I got one for my home. The down side of the one I got was that it was quite noisy and since I had it installed in my family room, made it annoying to hear the TV with the de-humidifier running. For some reason I didn't notice the noise in my son's apartment so it could have something to do with the size of the space and acoustics. The other potential downside is that it pulls so much water that the container needs to be emptied daily. It does shut off when full so it doesnt overflow and on the upside this shows that it does what it is supposed to be doing,,,dehumidifying. Regardless if you have high humidity this unit will definitely bring that down.

We’ve been using this dehumidifier for about a month now. No issues no problems. We used it with the bucket for the first couple weeks, and then we were able to set it up using the hose straight to a floor drain so it is been running continuously (without pausing to wait for the bucket to be emptied) for the last couple weeks.
It was super easy to set up the connection to our Alexa wire taps we have set up throughout the house. Now we can just tell Alexa to set the humidity to whatever or to turn it on or off and we don’t have to go to the basement every time other than to oooh and aaaahhhh at how cool the technology is...
For the first couple weeks using it with the bucket feature, we had it set up in our TV room. With the TV volume on hardly noticed it running. Now draining directly to a floor drain, it is in our utility room in the basement, and we can’t hear it running from any other room in the house.
Although slightly more expensive than other similar products without the smart technology, we are very happy with our purchase and would recommend it to others looking for a quiet, simple to set up, and smart dehumidifier.

I have had a previous version running constantly for 5 years in my basement. It was easy to choose this model again with the Wifi. Knowing when its filled is a big plus. especially since i trust it to keep my vinyl collection dry. It has been operating as expected. Made very well.
Best Buy matched price and there was a rebate too!
One note, the front screen is metal and can be dented, where my previous was thick plastic.

Very Good Perfomer--Not As Smart as You'd Like

This unit has all the good features of a capable dehumidifier--plenty of capacity, drain hose to avoid emptying buckets, flexible controls, etc. Clearly, Frigidaire (Electrolux) is trying to cash in on the "smart" appliance wave, but there are some disconnects. The manual packed with the unit from the factory (China, where else) practically ignores the wireless capability and the add in sheets direct the consumer to a confusing app situation for wireless operation. For one thing, they don't tell you that this appliance manufactured in 2019 (just four months ago) won't work with their newest software (ver. 2.0), so you have to go back to an earlier version (1.0) or you have a "dumb" appliance. What software version these days doesn't try to be backwards compatible? Or did Frigidaire just miss that one? Set up under version 1.0 works (finally) and though it's a bit clunky with a message that says "Thinking...", it seems to be reliable enough to perform the basic functions remotely--why else would you buy the unit in the first place?

Does the trick. Ran it for 2 days full on as suggested in instructions and it had to be emptied twice a day and then reduced the humidity level and it needed it once a day. Works great and on lower speed is fairly quiet. Only drawback is the way to change the filter. You have to remove the bucket and reach under the front panel and pull it down. Not the easiest thing to put back either. Otherwise after 2 months it works great and the basement is dry.

I waited for two winter seasons of use before giving my opinion of this product as I have never used a dehumidifier of any brand before . I have to say this does its intended job very well . We live in a 1150 sq ft cabin that is entirely spray foam insulated . The Mini-split AC unit keeps the humidity well under control during the summer but winter is another story . The air tight spray foam house traps the humid air with no way to escape so the aluminum window frames will condensate heavily during the cold nights when we have the heat cranked up . We only use this at night as we also don't mind the low hum of the fan running , and by morning the bucket is full of water and the humidity is well below 50% . No more water on the window sills is a sign it has done its job well . The wifi app also works perfectly . We keep the unit in the back utility room next to the bathroom and just leave the doors open at night . The humidity meter on the other side of the house will read the same as the one in the bathroom so it circulates the air quite well it would seem .

Very happy with this dehumidifier. Read a lot of reviews before making my buying decision. Many people complained about how their units got corrosion and broke down before long. This model had good reviews, and I was NOT disappointed. We have had it now for well over a year, run it almost constantly in the bedrooms and basement which have high humidity. My husband also uses it from time to time on his remediation jobs for clean ups from client flooding. It runs very well and draws water quickly. The bucket is easy to remove and empty, even when filled to the top. The unit has a handle and wheels that makes it easy to move. The screen is easy to clean. Just pull it out, run it under water, dry, and replace. Couldn't be simpler. I have not bothered to connect the wi-fi feature, so can't speak to that.

Removes buckets of water from the air

I just turn this on auto mode and it removes water from the air into the tray style catch. When full the unit turns off. Alternatively, you can attach a hose to the drain spout if you have a drainage area on the floor. I opted to use the built in catch because its easier. I pour the water into my plants outside to water them after use. During rainy season I need to get moisture out of the air since it is damp since I am at sea level and nearby the beach. As a second use, this can be used to pull water out of the air in an emergency situation should water get cut off in the house. In about 4-5 hours it fills with water and that can be filtered using a Britta or other filtration system. I had no idea how much moisture was in the ambient air until I purchased this, well worth the investment. The unit releases warm air back into the room. I've also used this in a room where clothes are hanging to speed up the drying process and it works well for that too. There are many off-label uses for this as I illustrated.

I bought this to replace one that malfunctioned. I didn't care about the features, just that it worked and was large capacity. I still haven't figured out the wi-fi setup, tried once and it didn't work. But the amount of water this pulls out of the air is amazing, significantly more than the one I had.

This dehumidifier is fantastic. It pulls so much water out of the air. It’s somewhat noisy. Holds a lot of water. It’s simple to empty. Apparently it can be connected to WiFi and you can set it while your away but I haven’t used that part yet.

We have had the Frigidaire Window unit air conditioning for a while and have been pretty happy with them. (Great to live in the Northeast now and only really need A/C for a month or two!). But the basement! The house came with a tiny dehumidifier that would stop draining for no reason. Time for an upgrade! And I wanted one that would let me check via WiFi so I would not walk down to a dank basement ever again! This unit works like a champ! Sized such that we are getting down to 50% humidity easily! Quiet, AND I can see on the app that it's doing its thing from the 2nd floor. It did take a minute to figure out which Frigidaire app was the one we needed. But after we had the right one it was click click done. Wooo Hooo! Score! Energy Star and better humidity control wins!! Ease of use ding is just for having to figure out which app...

This humidifier works great and easy to use. It also can be controlled via wifi while using an downloaded app. The only downside is how heavy the system is. This system is one of the heaviest 70 pint dehumidifier out there and not easy to carry due to its heavy weight.

I couldn’t believe how much water this thing pulls out of our house. I brought the humidity levels down from 65% to 40% in just a day of running. Works great. App works good and will email you letting you know when to empty as well.
