Got some old GameCube controllers laying around? Didn't sell off those bulky WaveBird controllers back in the day when you stopped playing your cute little GameCube? Well, if you have a fancy new Switch and wanna play the game all authentic-like, grab one of these adapters, four GameCube controllers, three friends/family members, a Switch, and a copy of Smash and go at it!

Works with no issues, all four ports were tested with Smash Wii U.

Works for the Nintendo Switch. I was just a little confused because it comes with two usb outputs (one colored black and the other colored grey). The black one is the one that creates the connection to make the adapter work. I tried plugging in the grey one alone and with the black one, but never understood its function. Nonetheless, works great.

Let’s face it, if you’re getting this adapter it’s for Smash Bros. Ultimate and probably nothing else. To that end, it works exactly as it should. Quick and easy to plug in, the USB cord is a fair length, letting you plug older (shorter cabled) GameCube controllers in from further distances. It’s a great product that does what it should.

This will allow you to use the gamcube controller on your switch for playing smash bros ultimate and a few other games unofficially. Nintendo doesnt advertise it but it works on MK8 and a few other titles but u have to test it out yourself....and makes me really want a gamecube classic if they ever release one

Works as you expect. Worth noting this has two USB. Each USB does two controllers. A Switch dock has 3 USB (two in back one on side). So plugging this for 4 switch controllers only let's you use 1 wired pro controller at the same time. With Smash up to 6 you gotta plan accordingly.

Assuming that people have friends, get the adapter for the multiplayer fun. It's cold outside! Let's settle things indoors! As for the review portion, it works as intended. Plug to either a Switch or a Wii U and plug for GameCube controllers to play Smash or Mario Kart with friends.

This accessory is great! I’ve always wanted to get one for the Wii U but never did. I couldn’t pass this by for the switch. It allows you to use your GameCube controller on your switch! Perfect for Mario kart sessions and perfect for the upcoming Super Smash Bros ultimate game.

The Gamecube controller is one of the best ergonomic controllers! Being able to use it on PC makes it even greater. This is great with friends and family since it has 4 slots to use. When it is time to play Smash, I plug this baby in and game up the best way!

I missed out on this adapter when SSB came out on the Wii U, and regretted it. When Nintendo announced it would be back with the release of Ultimate, I picked one up as soon as it was available. Works with re-issued controllers and originals, it's great!

Amazon was soldout of this adapter. I know you can buy third party adapters, but I wanted to buy the official Nintendo one. This is a must buy for anyone that plays Smash with a Gamecube controller. I also use this controller to play Rocket League too.

as someone who's a huge fan of the smash series, this purchase was a must for two reasons: it allows you to easily have up to 8 players allows you to use gamecube controllers if those 2 reasons are important then this add-on is a necessity

This adapter is only necessary if you insist on using a Game Cube Controller to play Super Smash Brother's Ultimate. In my experience with the game, I've found that the Switch Pro Controller and Joy-Cons in handheld mode work fantastically.

It does what it says and it does it well. Only two complaints: for one, it requires two USB ports, of which the Nintendo Switch dock only has three. So, if you want to use more than one other USB device aside from this adapter, you’re out of luck. For another thing, the adapter can only be used with the switch in docked mode: no official handheld support. Overall it works fine and I appreciate that the controllers can be used in almost every game by default.

For those of you who weren’t able to pick this up for Smash WiiU, I highly recommend it for Smash Ultimate. Playing Smash with original GameCube controllers is great, and this adapter will allow you to connect up to 4.

Glad Nintendo incorporated an accessory that enables players to use their old gamecube controllers on the switch without the need of buying new specialized controllers in order to play Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

It does just what it says allow you to use 4 game cube controllers originally got it for smash but used it for pokken tournament as well. Works flawlessly. You only need to utilize the black usb plug for it to work!

I’ve had no problems with this adapter after testing and using it on both my Nintendo WiiU and Switch consoles. The usb cables slide in snugly and the controllers don’t seem to have any input lag I can detect.
