What a great upgrade to my cycling gear. Each ride is a better experience with the data I receive from my new Garmin. Ever pedal is recorded and I can share and relive the ride with my friends.

All Best Buy does is give me an exchange for a different device. I have had this Garmin for 3 weeks now but it started messing up a week in. Since leaving my last review in march I have now gotten this new device and do not recommend buying Garmin devices at Best Buy. I originally contacted Garmin support about multiple issues with multiple devices in march, they responded and requested info to my device and were supposed to get back with me on what the issue was. waited 2 months and never heard from them again. On the review I posted for the device I was left a comment by Garmin support to contact them to try to resolve the issue, I did and no reply. After 2 months of waiting I went ahead and got a new device because I had an event coming up and needed something reliable to use. I lost all the data from the first 2 legs from the event because the device decided to restart my workout. so I have no way to recoup that data since that is the only device I have that will record long events without the battery dying half way through. later in the day the screen was glitching nonstop, which is at least different from all 4 other devices I have had issues with, those would freeze. Seems like Best Buy got a horrible batch of all these Garmin devices and nothing has been done to get it fixed. This is embarrassing. This is now device number 5 I've had issues with in 13 months. I have now used all Garmin computers except the 1050 and they have all had the same issue except this one. This is the old review previously posted. Do not buy Garmin edge products here, I have had issues with my devices for months. I have exchanged my device for another and that has not fixed the problem, I'm on my fourth device in less than a year. Luckily I pay extra per year for their membership and have been able to exchange it for a new one because I would have been stuck with a bad device if I didn't. My first 3 were the 540s and the last one is the 840 and have had the same issue with them all. This is the only device I have to record while training so I heavily rely on it but its very disappointing that I lose workouts when my screen freezes mid workout or I have nothing to record with because the screen froze and have to wait for it to die so I can plug it back in, let it charge, then be able to use it. I considered getting a Garmin watch to use for other exercises not included in the 840s but as disappointed as I am with these I don't know if it'll be worth the trouble. These devices clearly have an issue that has not been resolved and is very disappointing with a brand as large as Garmin.

It is a super useful device if you are a serious biker and bike 2/3 times per week and interested in organizing all your biking activities at one place and not draining your phone battery on long rides. It can take few days to get used to the functionalities of it. The course feature can be little confusing, but it takes one or two articles to read to figure out what you are doing wrong. It is handy and super easy to mount. If you are riding on roads, get a Garmin Varia to pair with it, and that will be life safer, literally life saver. Many drivers respect bikers but some dont, having a radar warning you a speeding vehicle from behind helps. I recommend the Edge Explorer 2 for who are looking for a bike computer. And now you BB. I give five stars to the BB executives. I bought it online, they price matched and it did not show up on my porch while on tracking update said , it did. I reached out to the BB executive. They agreed to replace or refund the product. But I waited for a day it arrived on the next day, so I did not have to request for a refund. But I feel the gesture of executives was very thoughtful.

Replaced an older B&W Garmin Edge computer. I really like the colors and touch screen, as well as battery life. Wish there were more configurations, and customization compared to my old one. Great visibility, I swap it between my e-bike and gravel bike.

This was not what I was expecting at all. I wanted something to mount on my bike and use as a versatile entity that I could use to just ride around with or set a route and get to my destination. This just seemed slow, sluggish, everything was "challenge" routes and it just wasn't adding to the fabric of my life at all...it was irritating. It behaved and felt more like those old "lollypop", cheap pads you use to be able to buy for 30 bucks for kids to play with and trash. That probably didn't help my opinion of it. Although I returned it, if you are a die-hard bike enthusiast, always thinking in terms of burning one more calorie or conquering one more trail, this might be awesome. But if you ride your bike everywhere and just want the quickest and safest route to the vet, with your little pooch in tow, this is one less piece of plastic you need in your life.

I'm sorry to hear you didn't have the best experience with your Edge Explore 2. Hopefully you're able to find success with another Garmin device in the future! Garmin
