I upgraded from a garmin 935 and found the new features and accuracy to be a huge improvement. I also own a Samsung galaxy 5 pro. I wanted something very durable (sapphire and titanium), new metrics, reliable metrics, better battery, amoled display, etc. A big selling feature for me on this watch was also the new heart rate sensor. On all prior watches ive owned the optical sensor has been unreliable having random heart rate spikes during mild to no activity. I had to result to a heart rate monitor strap on even easy runs to avoid wrong zones being recorded (zone 1 vs random z4 or 5 errors). After almost a month of daily use from running to cycling to gym work- i can say this sensor is very accurate with only a couple of brief misreadings or spikes during gym work. It is able to handle more variation in watch movement due to the new design. I also enjoy the convenient flashlight. The improved readings also provide a better picture of your sleep and training progress. I also appreciate the new hill metrics and heat acclimation factor. Overall, while expensive i am very happy with this purchase and look forward testing it during the fall race season.

Amazing watch, even better service from BestBuy!

Beat decision to go with bestbuy! They price matched (twice!) and delivered a brand new, amazing Garmin that i had been meaning to own for sometime! I’d definitely recommend folks to but from bestbuy, they’re super efficient and prompt! The watch itself- I had been contemplating between Epix Pro Gen 2 and Fenix 8, but because BestBuy offers price match, it was a no brainer to go with this. Yes, they’ll probably prioritize Forerunners and Latest Fenixs for software UI updates, but then, this watch has Best build quality and a proven stamped UI, and they’re not left behind for patches/updates, other than UI! Battery lasts at least a week, with regular run/cycle/yoga/walk and wake to display. Awesomely protective GPS and sleep tracking! Best watch purchase ever! I own a apple Series 9 but this is what I’m wearing day in day out!

I loeve this watch. I purchased tbis watch after getting years worth of usage out of my Garmin Instinct. These Garmin watches are an essential for me now. I lost 100 pounds with the help of my Garmin Instinct and now I continue my daily routine of constant exercise/training religiously. This watch is durable, high-tech, comfy, etc. The biggest difference I noticed besides the tech in comparison to my Instinct was the watch band.both bands look almost identical, yet the Epix is i kid you not like 4x as comfortable. Its an amazing watch for anyone who is an athlete, active duty, etc.

This is a great product overall. My biggest challenge is learning the garmin system vs the apple environment. I'm getting 10 days of usage on my watch. The functions and metrics blow my A watch away. Definitely recommend this device for outdoor/workout enthusiasts.

Did a lot of research before choosing this watch and it’s a fantastic device. Does everything. Hard to believe there could be a better sports/fitness/outdoors watch. Love how personalizable it is as well. The 47mm size is perfect- the 51 is just enormous.

The Garmin Epix Pro is one of my most favorite purchases from Best Buy for the features and longer battery life as compared to my apple watch with all its multitude of apps I never used. My Garmin watch has enough features to encourage me to be (outdoors) active and track my progress. This one looks like a watch and not a matchbox with straps! Touch screen is very responsive though at times it is hard to navigate items in the corners. Lots of reasonably priced accessories for this watch on Amazon. The LED flash light is a pretty neat thing to include and offsets the bulky build, stands almost a centimeter above the wrist. This is a bit of a problem till you get used to it and frequently hit all kinds of surfaces in the first few weeks!! Thereby scratching the DLC black surface and leaving scuffs on a beautiful new watch. They should stop setting this expectation that it is “diamond like carbon” (DLC). Highly recommend a TPU cover and screen protector glass for the first few months till you get used to the watch. Of course I remove the cover at times when I want. Thanks to Garmin I actually have a smartwatch which does what it is supposed to do. One last thing, the bright AMOLED display is awesome, though I would definitely like to see more (customizable) color palette in a future software upgrade.

Best smartwatch/gps/activity tracker -watch I ever owned. The battery life is exceptional, the amoled screen is beautiful and clear. GPS connects fast and does an amazing job tracking my runs and walks. The is rugged and classy at the same time. Menu is easy to navigate and the app provides sufficient data to help me with my daily and nightly goals.

The battery life and accuracy are two of the issues I had with the galaxy watch. I charged during the morning commute daily. There are no issues with that on this watch. Daily battery drop is around 6-7% with gps on for rucking or running. I only miss the dial a little, but having very responsive physical buttons makes up for the loss. It makes more sense how Garmin implemented the touchscreen (ie when to turn off for workouts) and the haptics are effective. Lastly, even though the screen size is almost the same, the epix pro screen is more legible to me. With aging eyes, i found it more difficult to read the screen on the GW6 as the resolution "improved" over time.

The Garmin Epix Pro 47mm has been a great watch. I switched over from an Apple Watch because of the battery life and I really wanted to dial in on my health and sleep tracking. I run and train every single day and this watch keeps up. I really like the additional metrics like sleep tracking, VO2 max and all the recommendations the watch gives. It is also more aesthetically pleasing than an Apple Watch if you ask me. I do have a smaller wrist so the different size options is great. I went with the 47mm because I think it looks a little better than the 42. Can’t say enough good things about this watch I’m glad I made the switch. Not to mention it’s extremely durable.

The watch is good. Coming from a Galaxy Watch5 Pro, there a learning curve for this watch for sure. There is lot of data in terms of health so you really need to spend some time understanding all these data points so you can monitor what is important to you. There are some things i do not like like launching garmin pay is not a easy. My samsung watch was double clicking a button to launch but with garmin its more clicks that that. Still not sure how to get apps on the watch and to access them, its not accessible on the main screen like the galaxy watch. Also, when I am working out and listening to music, it does not show on my watch which really sucks since i need to use my phone for that which is inconvenient. You could use apps like spotify but there no default music app you can use to just listen to music if you do not want to go the spotify route. Overall, great watch but it has its quirks.

Absolutely love this watch. Switched over from Apple Watch Ultra after a lot of debating and have to say I like this more. Seamlessly integrated with my iPhone and the battery life is waaaayyyy longer. Mine has been lasting for 19days with the GPS function turned off. Lots of features. Don’t think I will ever switch out of Garmin

Great watch coming from ultra 2! The Garmin Epix Pro Gen 2 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 are both solid, but they’re made for different vibes. Garmin’s safety features are all about outdoor and fitness activities—stuff like Incident Detection and LiveTrack, plus that LED flashlight is super practical for low-light runs or hikes. It’s perfect if you’re big on training and spending time outdoors. Apple Watch Ultra 2, on the other hand, feels more versatile. The Siren and Emergency SOS are clutch for everyday and emergency use, and Fall Detection works whether you’re working out or just walking around. The Compass Backtrack is great for finding your way on new trails. If you’re hardcore into fitness, Garmin’s the way to go. If you want something that blends into your daily life with adventure-ready safety, Apple’s got you covered. Both are excellent—it just depends on what you’re into.

Best smart watch in the market. I take this thing everywhere I go. I was skeptical about paying 1k for a smart watch until I had to use its live maps one day out kayaking with no cellphone service and no idea where to go. Really saved me! That’s when I realized how it was worth every penny!
