Great improvement from Apple Watch!!! I appreciate the ruggedness and durability as well as the battery life. The solar feature keeps my battery charged for two weeks. It is very easy to use for fitness tracking and gives much more in-depth and accurate information then Apple Watch and just using the Health app

Garmin Instinct 3 Solar — Better Than I Ever Expected I honestly didn’t expect these watches to be this good — but Garmin Instinct 3 Solar completely blew my expectations away. This watch is not about fancy animations or useless smart features. It’s about reliability, endurance, and truth. The battery life is insane — with solar charging, I almost forget what a charger even is. I wear it every day, outdoors, indoors, workouts, sleep — and it just keeps going. The build quality is rock solid. It feels like a real tool, not a toy. Scratches, cold, heat, sweat — it doesn’t care. This is a watch you trust, not one you babysit. Health and activity tracking is spot on: heart rate, stress, sleep, Body Battery — everything feels honest and consistent. No fake numbers, no drama. Just clean, reliable data that actually helps you understand your body. The screen is perfectly readable in sunlight, the buttons work flawlessly (even with gloves or wet hands), and the simplicity of the interface is a huge plus. No distractions. No nonsense. This watch feels like it was made for people who value freedom, durability, and independence. After using it, I can confidently say: Garmin Instinct 3 Solar is better than all my expectations — and easily one of the best watches I’ve ever owned. Highly recommended. No regrets. Zero.

My first watch great watch. It helps me keep track of everything that I want to keep an eye on it. Fun to have when you’re working out going to have in general.

I have had this watch for a little over a month now and absolutely love it. I don’t miss having an Apple Watch at all. It’s rugged, extremely durable, has lots of cool and unique features. Many of which I haven’t even played with or checked out. I love that it is completely waterproof, I also have not had to charge it. As long as your in the sun some of it has sun hitting it, it charges. Great watch, will stay with this line for sure, great for law enforcement and other first responders.

Love it. Battery lasts a lot. Device is not great at estimating battery life, but with certain outdoor activity it lasts between 2 and 3 weeks.

Had a tactical, with the prior version and it was the best, had almost a 14-30hrs of battery. This version is a step back, battery life that lasts about 7days. I took it on a hike and after about 6hours it would just restart, over and over again. I’ve had the watch for about 40 days and going to return and get the previous model, for sure

The watch itself is awesome but finding instructions on Garmin connect app is very difficult and not user friendly

Not a bad watch but it isnt touch screen. Takes awhile to figure out what buttons do what. The solar charging is a plus. It has alot of good features. But if you are looking for something modern that has a touch screen this watch probably isnt for you

Great product. It's very durable, comes with a bunch of features, and has great connect ability. I definitely recommend for the more outdoorsy/military folk. A majority of the features for this are on the regular Instinct 3. I recommend comparing via Garmin's website for feature comparison prior to committing.

Best long lasting battery, best solar powered and rugged

I made some research before purchasing this garmin and I am absolutely loving it. It is the 2nd garmin I have, the previous was a forerunner 235. It wears very comfortable specially when doing my workouts and I've been using it to track road running, treadmill, strength training, jumping rope, inline skating and indoor cycling so far. I like very much the strength training tracking, it can even identify some workouts (as long you are executing the proper form). I've also signed up for a virtual running coach and I'm enjoying the experience so far. It makes everything organized with the schedule workouts easily synced between the smartwatch and the app. The battery is awesome, it lasts forever and I only had to recharge after a month. I will use it as an indicator that I need to go more outdoors to use more solar recharge, but also as a way to keep up with my vitamin D levels.

Although a bit pricey, this is a great watch. I thought i wouldn't like the orange accent, but it's honestly looks pretty good in person. Mostly got it for the battery (I have a Galaxy Watch Classic 8 as a smartwatch), and the battery has been great on it. Wastes about 10 percent (probably a little less) per day, and it has become my daily wearable. Great for tracking workouts too.

Surprisingly light and robust battery life. It's a great watch for outdoors.

If you are trying to decide between 45mm and 50mm, go with the 50mm. Solar charging is excellent, I barely have to take off watch let alone put on charge. Very good functions I actually like it is not touch screen.
