Thank you, the GPS charger was exactly what I needed. It didn't have traffic receiver that I expected to be there, but next time I need to look better at the picture of the product.

My Garmin stopped working. I realized it was the cable. I found this replacement @ Best Buy. It would be great if it worked. It doesn't seem to work with my 2595LM Garmin. I verified the models prior to purchasing it. This cable doesn't provide Traffic. I was ok with it because I use an app for traffic.

I went to Best Buy to do a price comparison on a new GPS because my connection to it was frayed. I purchased a new cord from Garmin and it still kept going out. I recently moved and really need my GPS!!! A fantastic salesman came over and I was asking questions about a new Garmin that was going to cost me about $200. I told him why I needed a new Garmin and had brought in my cord. He knew exactly what I needed to make it work. He brought my Garmin and another cord to the Geek Squad and came back and said this one works perfect!!! It connects to the bottom of my Garmin. Total cost after price comparision...... $16.99!!! He saved me so much money and it works FANTASTIC! I love Best Buy!!!

The original car charger that came with my Garmin Nuvi GPS unit broke into pieces one day while I was plugging it in. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to find a replacement for this somewhat old unit (at least 5 years old, probably more). I searched online and found a lot of car chargers but I didn’t know if they would work on my Nuvi. On the Best Buy site, I read the questions others had submitted and in the answers an expert said it would fit my Nuvi. I purchased it and it works perfectly. This unit even has a blue light to let you know it is working. My original didn’t have that so you couldn’t be sure your unit was being charged or just using battery. I was very glad to be able to get this from a brick and mortar store because I’ve had bad luck in the past from ordering on line from other stores and getting a product that doesn’t match the description. Not only was this the correct product, but it was the best price as well. This is s genuine Garmin product which I prefer. I’m very happy I can keep using my old GPS with this beautiful new charging cord.

Works as advertised, powers all functions of the Garmin DriveAssist including dashcam, which many cables don't power fully. Got it to replace the stock cable I had for my 2019 model, which stopped powering the device after around 3 years of near daily use. This one seems to power the GPS up slightly faster and has a blue LED instead of red.

I had been having problems with the charging cable for my GPS for a while. I didn't think that I would be able to find a power cord for an electronic device this old. I don't like change, but I love my Garmin. It works great.

Unfortunately, you'll need this cord. I have always used a generic USB to mini USB cable for my GPSs in the past but the Garmin I have now enters computer storage mode so you have to buy this cord. That being said, it's a good cord. Has been working well for two years. Doesn't feel cheaply made. Nice and long.

Needed a cable to replace the one that came with my Garmin Nuvi GPS. Found this one right before I had to leave on my trip so I snatched it up. Worked flawlessly! Very happy, looks exactly like the one I misplaced and I haven't had any issues with it.

This cable was a replacement for use on my Garmin Nuvi 2555. The old cable was no longer charging my GPS while I was on a 200-mile drive with friends. I had programmed three addresses into the Garmin for this trip, but then the battery failed. With this replacement cable, the GPS is working perfectly again.

This gets the job done but there is another one that I prefer that has an additional slot for a USB plug. This is great just for charging but if you have multiple things I would go with one that has multiple ports

I was given a GPS from a family member. The cord, near the part that plugs into unit was frayed. I bought this cord to replace it. It worked better than the original. It was also easy to store, when not in use.

This is the Garmin's replacement 12V power cord for the NUVI style GPS. It is just like the one that came with my GPS. Perfect fit and the price was right. Dont waste your time on cheap replacements that sometimes works.

I thought I packed everything but when I got ready to use my Garmin I noticed I forgot the power adaptor. I googled it in hopes I could find an aftermarket item to get me through the week. When Best Buy came up as one of my results I called just to be sure. Turns out it was original equipment and they could have it in the store ready for pick up the very next day. Even though I was ready to spend just about any price when I was doing the google search, this one was priced right, exact equipment, and available within 24 hours. Thank you Best Buy..

I learned a good lesson years ago - do NOT cut corners on GPS and electronic replacement parts. When I could not find my OEM Garmin GPS Vehicle Charger for a long planned trip, I ordered an exact replacement from BestBuy, and had it in hand, just a few days later. It worked flawlessly, and saved frustration. It even had a right angled power plug-in, so the cord did not stick out and get in the way. Thank you Garmin and BestBuy. These comments are true and correct...

Had been looking at a replacement 12 volt car power adapter for a Garmin nuvi 205w GPS that had been given to me by friend who was replacing it with a newer model GPS. The electric conductors in the power cable had become frayed and apparently actually broken at the USB plug end so no power was getting into the GPS and the nuvi was unusable for her. The strain relief molded into the USB plug had actually broken from the constant the bending the cable undergoes when the GPS is being transferred from car to car in a multi car family or into a purse or briefcase and its breakage had facilitated the conductor breakage. The model number of the original 12volt adapter, the one that came with the nuvi 205w, was model 00239-24. Best Buy has for a long time stocked Garmin branded accessories so that was the first place I headed. But, when I priced the replacement adapter it was around twenty five dollars or more – not worth it for me for this older nuvi 205w GPS with its outdated maps. Recently one of the sale e-mails I get from Best Buy featured a Garmin 12 volt vehicle power cable adapter at a sale price that was ten dollars less. I called Garmin customer service and they confirmed the Best Buy unit on sale would work for my nuvi 205w so I bought it it. It works fine. Here are some of the differences between it and the older one it replaces: Part number of the new unit is 00239-70. The new unit is slightly shorter, by ¼”, than the original., the pilot light/power up indicator on the new one is a small blue light on the top of the plug-in adapter while on the older model it was a light with a lens that wrapped around from the top to the back end of the plug-in and was thus visible from more angles.. Output specs are stated as a range on the new unit The fuse will require a wide blade screwdriver or a smallish needle-nose plier used as a 2-prong wrench to replace. A molded in lock on/lock off and an arrow in the tip of the device help with replacement though it would have been helpful if the box containing the new adapter contained a printed instruction sheet for further directions. On the older unit the fuse was replaceable by unscrewing a finger-turnable retention ring. One improvement on the new model – the spring for the fuse, way down at the bottom of the fuse channel, seems to have been given some sort of retention so it does not shoot out unexpectedly and get lost somewhere in the room when the fuse is removed. The strain relief on the back end of the adapter has been redesigned – for the better it seems – it is not as rigid as the one on the older unit. The strain relief at the USB plug end however is only slightly redesigned from the prior failure-prone design and may eventually facilitate power cable breakage when the plastic hardens with age, as did the original. But, to repeat the new unit. P/N 00239-70, works fine – the nuvi 205w is back in operation and I’ve used the vehicle power cable to power it on several trips into the city and back.
