The fridge is very spacious and well organized. Plenty of room for everything. I like that the ice maker is on the door and doesn’t block half a shelf off. Only complaint I have is that the water dispenser is slow. To fill up a cup it will take 30 or more seconds this is with the line opened up completely.

Would have given 5 stars but have few issues, the wrapping that frig arrived in was glued in the seals of doors . almost impossible to get all pieces out. also the water dispenser has drip, but since best buy is replacing that door due to scratches hopefully the issue will corrected. NOTE: the frig is rather loud

Replaced an older GE side by side love the extra space. yes because it does more and works the dual cooling the motor is a little bit louder but livable. Most new refrigerators are louder than the older ones because they are using different refrigerants to comply with new environmental rules.

Love the bottom freezer. Love the fast chill option on the fridge and freezer. Sometimes the ice sticks together in the compartment but if you shake the holder it drops down. Not a lot of options for adjusting the shelves, at least with the bulk size items I use. I had to remove a shelf on one side to get my stuff to fit. Very well lit even in the freezer. Love the big fridge drawer, the sliding divider helps it to be more useful. I use one side for lunchmeat the other for cans of pop.

So far so good. Went from a 29.8 cf dog of a French door in a different brand to this, but there is plenty of space with room to spare. We bought the add-on ice maker for the freezer and haven’t had to use it for ice once. The in-door ice maker has been quite capable of producing ice on demand. I knew it didn’t have a place for butter, but I wish it did. Coming from a fridge that had one, I didn’t think I’d miss it, but I do. The two top shelves on the inside left door remain empty. I don’t have grocery items small enough to store in there so this may prove to be wasted space. It does have a slightly more notable hum than our old fridge, but nothing unbearable or annoying. I’m used to the occasional pops, whirs, and sputters, so no surprises here. Again, nothing unbearable or annoying. We’ve had the GE for about a month now and we really like it. We’re grateful to have a fridge that keeps our food cold and makes ice when we need it. It does what a refrigerator should do. Fingers crossed that this one will make up for the horror we went through for seven years with another brand.

Like the size and the look. I would recommend getting the second ice maker. You can’t use the water when the right door is open.

I am pleased with the refrigerator itself, however, the outside ice and water dispensors are a disappointment. The crushed ice is mostly big chunks and messy and the water comes out so slow I can't stand to even use it. If I had to do over would get same frig without this option and save money and mess.

I purchased this fridge on Black Friday for $1700, and it has spectacular bang for that buck. The 3 things that were must haves for us in a french door fridge were lots of space, ice/water access through the door, and the ice maker in the door (to maximize interior space). This fits all of those criteria perfectly, and for a great price (27.8 cu ft is huge!!). It doesn't have all of the bells and whistles, such as a Keurig brewer or a 4th drawer that can be opened separately from the main fridge, but these options will almost never be found at this price point (and we didn't need those options). So far, the fridge has been going strong for about a month with no issues, though I will be sure to update this review if that changes.
Just as a heads up, the ice maker does not make/store a ton of ice, though this will always be a trade-off for "in-the-door" ice makers. Therefore, if you entertain a lot and/or use tons of ice, you will likely need to buy ice for those occasions.
TL;DR I'd buy this fridge again without blinking an eye.

All in all its a wonderful fridge. We upgraded from a 17 cu ft. to this massive 27.8 and are mostly pleased with its performance. One thing I love about this fridge compared to others is that you don't lose half a shelf inside the fridge for the ice maker or the water filter.
Now onto the negatives:
Even after adjusting our doors to the maximum level of adjustment, we were never able to get them perfectly lined up the way they should be. This has caused the shelf on the left door to scratch against the right door when we open just the left door.
For a two person family, the ice maker struggles to keep up with our ice consumption on a super hot day. I do wish it made ice a little faster or had a "turbo ice" feature that we could turn on to get more ice. We have to try and create a surplus of ice by dumping excess ice into a bucket in the freezer on cooler days in order to make sure we have enough for the hot days.
The bottom of the fridge puts off considerably more heat that I would like. Walking past it, you can feel the heat on your feet which worries me that its going to cause long-term damage to cabinets or floors.
All in all, its a good fridge. It had the features we wanted, so we can live with the bad.

I love this fridge. It’s beautiful and matches our cabinets.
We replaced a Samsung that the ice maker kept freezing over.
I understand where people say it is loud. But I think that is because more and more homes have open concept so the kitchen and living room are together. Otherwise you would never notice

My husband and I recently ordered this refrigerator online. We could pick the delivery date (less than a week out) and we had to have the Slate color, to match our other appliances. We wanted this bigger size and are very happy with it. Since it is so big, it took longer for the inside to cool down but, it is now nice and cold.
We had another GE that was a lot smaller. We redid our kitchen and made the area for a frig big enough for this. The inside is much nicer and better built than the small version. It is also much quieter. We love it.

My new GE 27.7 Cu. Ft. French Door Refrigerator is very quiet. The doors open easily and there's lots of light inside. I like the way the shelves can be moved around.

I have only had the refrigerator for a few days but so far everything is working good. The installation was easy. The refrigerator is very quiet. There is a little noise when the turbo chill comes on but it’s not annoying. I love the slate color, it doesn’t show fingerprints like the stainless steel does.

Finally all my appliances match! I love the slate finish. I also love everything about this refrigerator. So much room inside, even with the ice maker on the door. You think you're losing door space, but I haven't missed it at all. The other bins more than make up for it.

Everything about this fridge is good except the icemaker. The icemaker regularly stops making ice because of a stuck chip in the arm or ice gets stuck dispensing. Each time I have to open up the compartment and remove the offending ice to continue operation. Otherwise it's a great fridge.

I love my new refrigerator. It's roomy, has great storage cubbies and drawers in both the fridge and the freezer (which is at the bottom, another awesome feature).I ordered it in slate rather than the typical stainless steel. It looks so much better that way.
