Purchased this washer because it was one of the few remaining washers that you can still select the water load size. Most washers now are all auto sensing which have come a long way but after reading researching I'm going to wait another generation of purchasing an auto sensing washer. Read read read your manual before you operate newer appliances. No long are the days of plug and play. With newer appliances attempting to meet energy efficiency standards practicality has taken a back seat. This doesn't mean its a bad washer. It just means in order to get the cleaning results you want you have to input the correct settings. I've had great success so far with all of my clothes being cleaned and its why I give this a 5. No issues with water loads as I can select small, medium, larage, and super water settings (theres also an auto-sensing option but why would I do that). No soap residue or issues with getting enough water like some more expensive auto-load sensing washers. It can fit a queen size comforter and I imagine it would hold a king size. I wish BB did half stars as I'd rate this a 4.5 but this washer garners a 5 for me because the results have always been clean clothes, and thats the bottom line. Maybe this washer doesn't have all the bells and whistles but it gets the job done. Cons: this washer should not win any quite game awards. You can hear the agitator twist back and forth and the drum spin. Its not so loud that you have to speak up, but it'll surprise you at first, but don't worry about hearing unfamiliar sounds. The trade-off is you know your clothes are getting clean because you were able to select the load size and you have an agitator gently working your clothes around. This washer has set off my breaker twice since owning it in 2 months but I believe this is an issue on my electrical side of the house rather than my washer. If it happens to you when you reset your breaker your washer will pick up right were it left off. My last con is the autolocking feature. The lid will lock once it begins to agitate rather than having the option to pause by opening the lid. While the water is loading you may open the lid but once the drum begins to move the lid locks. If the power is lost to the washer the lid will remain locked. Check your breaker box and once you reset it your washer should resume operation. Overall why do you buy a washer? Because you want clean clothes and not be a statistic of a disappointed auto load sensing pioneer of some other unit. After readinf the horror stories of those washers I and a happy owner of a washer that I can be in control.

This washer has made my wife very happy and I am so glad to be rid of the old 'NEW' HE style washer. This washer, while still an HE washer, actually has the old style agitator, a water level adjustment, and seems to clean the clothes better and you can put more dirty clothes in it per wash than the old 'NEW' washer even did. Some reviews said it seemed louder but I don’t think so, especially during the spin cycle. Short Summary: Larger and cleaner loads makes my wife happy so - I'm happy!

So I had a LG top-loading High Efficiency washer, thinking that it was the wave of the future. Boy was I wrong! As much as they swear that your clothes are getting clean...it's a LIE!!! My towels would frequently develop a "sour, B.O.- like smell". Socks and underwear would come out looking the same as when they went in! I would have to spend hours on end washing my towels in vinegar, then another wash in baking soda, just to minimize the smell. Finally, I had enough of the insanity! I purchased this GE because it is one of the few top-loading machines that have an agitator, which I am convinced is necessary to get the clothes truly clean. Other reviewers have commented that it's loud...and it is, but I am so happy to now have clean clothes and fresh-smelling towels that I don't even care! It also takes less than one hour to wash my clothes like my old machine! The bottom line...it does what it's supposed to do...it cleans your clothes and it does a great job!

I bought this as an open box item because it was available for immediate pick up. The controls are intuitive, although no water level adjustment, it is done automatically. Has an agitator in addition to being HE. Spin cycle gets clothes very dry. Clothes come out clean. Happy with purchase.

Love the center auger. This machine washes great, clothes come out clean and smelling fresh. It does seem a bit light, it will move across the tile if not perfectly balanced. The lid is also very flimsy and I noticed afer only 3 weeks the stainless drum seems to be discoloring. Overall a good machine for the price.

I bought this as it was an open box item, and available for immediate pickup. I read some reviews about HE top loaders and side loaders. This unit has an agitator and easily understood controls. Laundry seems very clean, very dry after a spin.

I picked this machine based on reviews and I'm glad I did. This washer makes my clothes clean and the spin cycle is amazing, takes all the water out. Great buy!

My new washer is not only a great buy but also large enough to wash comforters and blankets. Very pleased with how efficient it is along with how well in cleans all items.

Great machine for the money. Can't speak to reliability, but it has the features we need, cleans well, and the spin cycle works awesome.

At first I didn’t know how to work this washer when I first bought it, upset that it doesn’t have a Small, a medium Or large knob/button and I constantly have to pause the washer and keep pressing the deep fill button whenever I’m washing a huge amount of clothes. Also it makes too much noise, sound like a loud truck. Sometimes the washer jumps to different settings and I constantly have to reset the washer and I only had my washer for about 3 weeks. But I desperately need to wash my clothes so I’m just going with the flow for now, plus’s I have a 5 year warranty on it and Best Buy best know for there warranties so if this continues or even breaks, they will fix it or replace it due to any circumstance. But me personally I wouldn’t recommend this complicated washer to no one else.

They don't make them like they use to. Traded in a fancy Samsung with all the bells and whistles for this one and it does just as good a job if not a better job at cleaning clothes

The washing machine was delivered and set up in 30 minutes. It does a great job getting clothes clean while being energy efficient

It is not really quiet, BUT our clothes are cleaner than our front loader we had before. I love the agitator!

Big washing machine and I love the agitator goes both clockwise and counterclockwise. Washes great.

Washer works well. First delivery the manufacturer forgot drain hose. Installers had to return. Would have been easier if someone just brought a hose rather than return the whole washer and come back with another one the next week.

Excellent combination of agitator & HE feature (and currently the only one on the market of this style). Tried the 'non-agitator' type and it only lasted 3yrs before needing a $450 repair to replace magnet plates, etc. Went back to the agitator style - very happy with it. Quiet, washes well, has great variety of settings for the different laundry load types. Great value - highly recommend.

I think this is the updated version of my parents' washer, which I have always loved. It has a ton of settings, so I feel comfortable washing nearly everything in it. It's quick and efficient.

This washer cleans good but I'm not crazy about the filling levels of the water with today's appliances.

Great service at Best Buy. Chris has helped me buy fridge, stove and dishwasher previously. Had to reschedule delivery of washer several times, no problem. Good delivery guys. Washes great, only complaint is it a little noisy while agitating. Good value for the money!
