Older Ge washer was having balance issue, tho it still could somewhat work, decided to finally get a newer one and went with this one after researching a good washing machine with this budget. Had issue with water leaking at bottom, but upon further troubleshooting , i just needed to tighten the drain hose better and unrestricting the outlet a little more so water could exit easier fixed the issue. Then started putting it to work washing several laudnry and it ran great, not too loud, and clothes were pretty clean and finished alot quick, i like the ability to select the fill options, the glass lid was a game changer to actually see how my clothes were doing. I like that it has the agitator similiar to the older model which fit my checklist. Overall im enjoying it, would recommend. 

I was extremely hopeful and excited when making this purchase, especially since I'm a cloth diaper mama. I liked that it has deep fill/water level control, so many load control options, and a large drum with an agitator. However, I just dont feel this washing machine does the best job. For example, our 12 year old son is in sports and I can still smell his body odor in the armpits of one of his shirts after it's been washed.... everytime! I even went as far as purchasing tide pods with Oxi bc maybe I'm not using enough detergent (since you dont need much) but no. That wasn't the issue! Not to mention, I have sensitive skin and cant do these heavily scented detergents. I'm not overloading the machine either so I just don't know. The auto sense water level will have dry clothes sitting on top of the water, even after the machine is finished, so I'm always using deep fill (which is only available with some of the wash settings). I'm not sure how that's an effective clean if the clothes aren't even wet. Our son also slipped in some mud and it took a few washes to get it clean but there's still a light stain... even tried shout. My old kenmore WOULD NEVER! I'm still trying to get my cloth diaper wash routine down also and its been over a month since we received the machine. They're getting clean but figuring out load size and detergent amount has been a struggle! I can't get the manual for just my machine either which is kind of annoying as I was looking for cleaning instructions as well as the control/settings info. It gets the job done, I guess, but I considered returning it each day before the window closed and wish I would have just gotten a refurbished kenmore. They don't make washing machines like they used to. I like that it has the glass top so I can see the clean/agitation and that I can open it unless its spinning (although I wish it would continue washing when opened). I like that you can delay the wash (up to 12 hours) if needed, it comes in handy when you have to leave but want to let the water heat up before running a load. I like the soak/extra rinse, deep rinse options as well. I really wanted to love this machine but it fell pretty short. Hopefully I can figure out the best settings to get an effective clean but at this time, I would not recommend this to a friend who's looking for a new machine.

There is so much that I love about this machine. I love the way it looks. Its sleek and I like the buttons. I love that I can make my own choices about temp and water height. I love that I can look through the lid and see what’s going on. I love that it’s soft close, no more slamming for us! I love that it spins well and greatly reduces the amount of drying time. I love that its easy to keep open and it doesn’t smell. I love that I can add things as its filling. I love that it has deep fill and a my cycle feature. I love that it has an agitator and for the first time in a long time, I feel like my clothes are really clean. i love the soak and extra rinse cycle. I love that it has drain and spin. I love that it agitated my clothes so well and didn’t tie things in knots. I hate that the lid opens in a way that gets in the way of the buttons. Why open up?? I hate that it takes a LONG TIME for it to stop spinning and unlock the door. so if you have a balance issue, it takes a while to get it right. I hate no matter how you save your my cycle, the load size always reverts to “sense.” So if I save it as a max size load, when I push my cycle again, it turns it to sense. I hate that I cant use sanitize cycle and choose the water level. I hate that the senser does not use enough water. I hate that every time you open or close the door it sprays water. So if I open it at the end of a cycle and I decide I would like an extra spin to get jt “good and dry,” when I close the lid and press drain and spin, it shoots water twice. About two seconds. Really odd. I hate that I can’t use deep fill on every cycle. Again, I say, there is a lot to love about this machine and I really wanted it to be my next machine for the next 10 years. But these things are making it to where I need to return it and find something different.When I choose a pre-programmed cycle, I should be able to change any one of the options if I so choose. I should be able to choose whatever I want. I hate that the signal is too too quiet! You can barely hear anything when it doesnt make a peep when its changes cycles (if you want to put softener in the middle of the agitator for the rinse). I will also say that I went from stackable to top load and I did not consider how much space I would lose for storage of my drying racks (we do a lot of air drys for our tall ppl clothes — which is why I LOVE an extra spin!) and other laundry accessories. Thats my bad though and in no way is a fault of the washer. All that to say, I’m going back to a front loading stackable.

With money tight and tied up in more important areas, we were forced to put off acquiring a used or new washing machine. After giving it a full exterior check and verifying with their techs and repairmen that the washer was in prime working condition with no issues, we knew we had a winner. The only con was that the washer was missing its turning knob, which was an easy replacement that I immediately picked up after the purchase. The fact that it was an open-box return, missing the turning knob, and a floor model gave the unit a significant discount. This made the total final price attractive to us, and it fit perfectly within our budget. In fact, with this washer, I saved at least $300! I had actually budgeted and expected to spend around $800 on a washer." Best Buy for the Win again Period!

Loving it so far. It has the agitator, so the clothes get cleaned & it has auto fill or you can pick small, medium, large, or max load. Even has deep fill. I heard so many complaints about clothes not getting cleaned without enough water coming out or with no agitator, so i was glad to find this washer. There is 1 thing that might bother you, it is a little noisy. It's right next to our living room, so we just turn up the tv or music a smidge. We laughed & now we tune it out.. im very happy with my purchase.

Very quiet and good amount of space. Heavy blankets should be washed separately.

My husband and I just bought this washer and dryer set a few weeks ago. I really like this washer. It is capable of modern amenities (sensing to wash your clothes) but you can also customize it to what you need it to do. You can pick your own water level, soil level, water temp and spin on this. I like that you don’t have to use the pull out tray for the detergent and fabric softener. You can put the detergent into the washer tub, and there’s a fabric softener compartment in the agitator as well. It has up to a 2 hour soak for your items which is fantastic in our house of 6. I love the size of this washer. I have 4 kids and still have yet to fill the washer. It is perfect for our family. The display is nice and large and easy to read. The buttons push easily and it really is fun to try the different options that you can do. I also really like that unless you are using sensing for the wash the lid doesn’t lock until it’s spinning so you can add items that you may have forgotten. If you are using auto sense then you just push to pause and the lid will unlock. All in all very happy with this purchase.

I’ve had a front load washer for years and i hated it. But now i have the top my top loader I’ve been just washer way. This washer is a life saver I can now washer my comforter is this washer. Omg I’m just so in love with this washer Okay! GE you’ll did your big one when making this machine.

This washer is a game changer!!! A lot of settings, and not big in size, but does big loads, narrowed my weekly loads down.

The general consensus is, We love it! It works great and looks great as well. The feet are adjustable and really grab the floor so that its level and stays put. We aren't bothered by operating noise as others have said.

Works great, goes off balance A LOT. Still trying to find the sweet spot of what this washer can handle. But it cleans great and isnt too noisy. Overall Id buy again. Great deal!

So happy I got this product, it’s quiet and so much space in it, definitely will be getting dryer once my dryer gives out

The white GE washer is great. It cleans and washes smoothly. I love all the controls and different settings.

Washes the clothes pretty good. Gets a little wobbly during the spin cycle. But doesn’t bang. The main selector knob fell off the first day and won’t snap back on completely. It just falls off again the next time you touch it. The buttons crinkle like they have a plastic film embedded in them. Makes them feel fragile. I may return it because of the knob issue. The matching dryer has none of these issues.

I love this washer! It holds quite a bit of clothes, has various settings, and makes chimes and songs when it starts and finishes. I love it so much!

This washer was bought to replace one almost exactly like it. It is quick and has a digital screen that shows you how much time is left until finished! It is rated 4 stars because the previous one ( same brand and almost identical) broke down after no warning. However, the previous one did work for almost 6 years.

The washer did have an electrical issue the first week I had it but it seemed to stem from my apartment's outlet rather than the machine. Best Buy returned it and got me a new one and there hasn't been any issues since.

So far, good. Pretty quite. Clothes are clean. Good options on display. Last GE washer lasted 15 years. Let’s see how this one stands up to time
