I just had my TV calibration done this morning; it took less than an hour and the installer was very nice; he was also knowledgeable. This calibration makes my XB9 look better than it did from the factory. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a movie theater experience in their living room.

First of all I dont Know what some of these ratings were saying, My tv calibration was performed with upmost satisfaction. Our Installer was extremely kind and helpful, he walked us through step by step with what he was doing. At the store our sales associate did a great job about explaining the benifits to me. I love my calibrated tv and I don't know why anybody would't accept this service. I am extremly satisfied with my expirience, the only thing I can think of why this has a few bad ratings is all because of the particular installer and not the service itself. thanks best buy!

The gentleman called before coming. Showed up when he said he would. explained the whole thing as he did it. Answered all my question . The TV picture looks so good now.

I purchased the calibration package over a year ago and I am still waiting on some one from Geek Squad to come and calibrate. After numerous contacts with GeekSquad still no one has shown up or even called. It is frustrating that I purchase a product and cant get any help. We were told that some one will call us and still no contact. I went to the local Geek Squad and shown them the receipt and all I got was "some one will call you." Maybe as another year goes by I will hopefully have my tv calibrated that I already paid for.

My calibrator was not aware my plasma had ISFccc video modes to activate and calibrate. He also did not have the software to activate it. The Sencore color analyzer he used is ok, but not the most accurate. Basically, BB did not adequately train my calibrator and do not provide him the tools needed to get the job done. Additionally, they do not calibrate your audio system, check your cables or review your remotes, as stated for the price you pay. You have to read the Terms and Conditions to see that they do not do this.

This a service that i really think everyone needs. Adjusting the picture on the screen menus can never give you anything that this professional instal calibration can give you, and i mean not eve close.... The geek squad installer was soo nice and great to work with. I highly recommend any GS service, they do fantastic work. But anyway this install will also help save you money by lowering your electrical bill and it also will make your TV last longer, so this is a small price to pay

I purchased a geek squad tv calibration only because I was told that I needed to purchase a gs service to get 3 years interest free bill. What a waist of $$$$$$. My tv is a 58" plasma samsung. A magnolia class. My tv looks awesome out of the box. It did not need any type of extra service other than powering it up. The only noticeable thing about my new "calibrated" tv is that it is now darker then the way I watched it since I bought it in Dec '09. I got it calibrated in May.

I have a sony front projector with a 100" screen. I already had my 52" sony xbr calibrated a few months back. I did not know that i can also calibrate my projector. After the calibration was done, the black levels and white levels improved dramatically. Take it from me, you will see a difference in picture quality by upgrading cheap cables to monster cables but the best picture upgrade is getting it calibrated.

i purchased a 42" insignia plasma and was recommended to get the tv calibrated. At first i thought that it was a marketing pitch. After i had my tv calibrated i can say that it has improved 300%. I have a 32" samsung lcd in my bedroom and my insignia plasma looks better than it. I'm looking to get my samsung calibrated soon.

they just came out this Satuday. I have the Samsung 850 series so the picture was very good but it was running hot and was using much more power then needed. The customer service from the guy was great, very professional, and knew what he was doing. Picture is even better and with the power savings/ life of the TV extended I think it was the right thing to do.

If you are going to put down a lot of cash on your home theatre, then you have to buy the TV calibration service. It's well worth the investment. My TV is now running cooler and the picture is amazing. You don't see what you are missing until after the service is complete.

I had my TV calibrated by one of the Geek Squad guys out of the Rancho Cucamonga store and my TV looks great. I didn't buy one of the top of the line TV's but know that i have my TV calibrated it looks better that the more expensive one. Great Service

Technician put no effort in finding my residence, blew me off for the next job. If he puts this lack of effort into the job then I guess he doesn't care about good customer service. Not very happy with everyone above him. Got hung up on twice and was on hold for close to an hour and half.

First guy who came to calibrate my TV came across as rather erogant. Had a heavy grayish tint that really bothered me. He told me that is normal. Second guy spent longer time. But after he left, the grayish tint came back. Also standard definition looked blurry. Called them again and geek squad supervisor came out and told me in a nutshell that I should only watch High Defintion channels to get the advantage of the calibration. Now lots of channel are too soft and my backlight is on 20 which is the maximum which makes everything too bright. Not to mention that lots of channels still have that grayish tint. I don't know what to do. Someone help me!

I was pressured in the store to purchase this service, the managers of Bestbuy took money off my 55 inch Samsung LED, I finally agreed to it but still not seeing the value. Getting it scheduled was a pain and the Geek Squad Office was rude and not very understanding. Once they finally came out to do the process the Geek Squad agents weren't very helpful and they left my livingroom a mess. And honestly the the tv looks more vivid and appealing on the vivid setting. Bestbuy has lost a loyal customer because of their lies and insistancy on selling me something that in my opinion is a scam so Bestbuy can make money.

After all the reviews I started to be comfortable with the fact that I spent money on the calibration. The guy seemed nice enough but barely spoke 10 words, didn't explain anything so I don't know what he was doing to my tv. After he left, when I had a chance to watch TV the picture quality was TERRIBLE. I have to keep adjusting the settings each time I turn on the tv. I'm going to call Best Buy to see about getting this resolved. What are the odds that I would have the only bad calibration service? Will write another review if there's something to report (hopefully good!)

When I bought my TV it had a really great pic and pop to it. So i was excited about getting this service. However after the tech so called calibrated my TV it now looks horrible. My HD channels don't even look HD. Is there any other service techs out there I can call to get my TV back to at least the factory settings. Cause I'm not satisfied. And its like I bought a 47 inch old TV. The only thing good was that the tech was nice. Other than that my TV sucks now.

Before you sign up for the Geek Squad help, be sure they are in your area. Tried getting them out to my house to set up my wireless network and was told they had to come from 50 miles away and couldn't be there for 2 weeks! There's a store within 2 miles of my house and there is always a Squad VW in their lot. Big waste of money.

Don't waste your money. My appt. was rescheduled then they showed up three hours late. The calibration consisted of the "Geek Squad Agent" going into the service menu adjusting the white balance and then adjusting the contrast and brightness. $199 for that? Really?

Decided to go ahead and pay extra to get a supreme picture on my 3d plasma. Geek squad was a day early and really didn't have the proper software for such a job. Factory default was closer than these guys got. Don't waste your money.
