I love the Chromecast Audio, it brought new life to a pair of speakers that was going unused in my home. I suddenly find myself finding reasons to listen to music so I can use it!

This is my second Chromcast audio. Now I can synchronize music played in different rooms on different sound systems, the common denominator is that both systems connect to WiFi.

This wifi adapter is cheap and lets me convert any amplified speaker or amplifier into a wifi allowing me to stream music from my laptop or any devuce that can download the google app (too bad not kindle) Iwas able to save 0ver 100 dollars on my Samsung sound bar by buying the non wifi version and then plugging this into the aux port! and with multi room I can entertain with the same music in my living room and backyard deck cant do it with BT! and wifi reaches as far as your wifi router will let it!

This is a great device for casting to a set of dumb" speakers or for casting music to an AV receiver and you wont wish to have your TV in usage while listening. It would have been nice to just see a chromecast plus or something that did both video and audio but just had an 3.5mm plug for analog output. Also I wish the multi room audio was supported at the time of purchase. I still haven't heard about that.

Been using Airfoil and an Airport for many years but syncing with 3 devices getting more and more out of sync. 3 chromecasts on same network using different devices for transmission (phones or pcs) worked perfectly from the start.

set up on an old receiver I had in my garage and hooked with my iPhone. In 5 minutes I had Pandora playing loud and clear. had to buy a mini to RCA wire but no real expense or problem. a good way to marry old and new technology.

Easy to setup and sound quality is great. I used this to replace a Bluetooth setup for my kitchen ceiling speakers and couldn't be happier with the result. I plan to get a couple more to take advantage of the multi-room support!

I LOVE Chromecast Audio. I've connected all three floors of my home into a single house-wide music fest!! I'm amazed that I have this capability at such an affordable price.

sound is amazing. as long as you have internet signal u can play from any device: phone, tablet, pc whatever

I use this product over Bluetooth, NO disconnects ever! I was wary of purchasing one of these but now I can't live without it. I use this on my Bluetooth speaker and have not had one "drop" or "skip" at all.

I'm very happy with these Chromecast Audio units. I have two of them along with a Google Home. We use them on the first floor of our condo to cast music from the Google home as well as from our phones and tablets. You can place several of these units along with the Google Home into groups making it very easy to cast music exactly where you want. It is extremely easy to setup these units using the recently renamed Google Home App on your iOS/Android phone or tablet. They support older RCA, 3.5mm and Optical connections to your sound system or powered speakers. It is easy to power the units since they use a common 5V, 1A USB power supply. You can also enable the "Full dynamic range" option in the device settings when you have it connected to high end sound systems. Years ago I used several of the older small AirPort Express units to send audio around the house. They were great units but a bit overkill and expensive to use just for streaming music. Our devices and living room audio setup changed several years ago and the AirPort Express units were all unplugged. I switched to using Bluetooth on the living room surround system along with an Amazon Echo and Echo Dot. Bluetooth has one advantage over WiFi streaming but several disadvantages. When we picked up the new Google Home I ran out and bought two of these Chromecast Audio units and it is great streaming music over WiFi again. Of course we still have the option of using bluetooth, best of both worlds.

Can be challenge to get set up - has to use google extension and stream on pc/mac from browser using google extension Also need to be close to the device you are streaming to 10- 15 feet all said good option to stream audio to a device in this case stereo

What a great, inexpensive way to stream online music to your favorite receiver... Works well with amplified computer speakers as well.

Works well with android including casting the whole android device. Latest update included support for hi def audio also. The only downside was the limited support of apps till they include support for cast audio unlike bluetooth which is universal.

Connected this to my bose bookshelf speakers. Works great but since the speaker needs to stay on to be at the ready, there’s always a slight sound coming from the speaker. Not the chromecast’s fault, just something to consider.

Once everything is unpacked easy to set up even if the wall mount is used. Pairing the subwoofer very easy. I used the digital audio optical cable from the CHARTER digital box to the Samsung sound bar unit worked like a charm.

This is a new product and I use it on my Bluetooth speakers instead of the Bluetooth. Using the Chromecast Audio it frees up my phone and when I listen to music I don't hear all the notifications like when using Bluetooth.

does what it says, easy to set up, but wish it was compatible with Naxos music Library and Amazon music

ChromeCast audio is a great little product. For the price you get the ability to create a whole house audio solution. the ability for them all to play the same songs and stations in sync is amazing. One thing to note though is that they are not amplifiers so you need an amp in the middle between them and the speakers. I picked up a small little car amp for this purpose. All in all, great product.

This is great for connecting older speakers. I hooked this up to an older receiver and a pair of 601 Bose speakers and it really sounds great. It brought new life to them. It connects quickly and I'm happy I bought 2.
