Bought this to upgrade my older stereo. It works great. Have had no issues and was very simple to set up. My stereo now how wireless capabilities and I cast to it with phone, tablet, or laptop now. Glad I bought it.

I'm trying not to get too addicted buying these little pucks and sticking them on every sound system I own. I used to distribute music through the house and it works great. Will be purchasing more!

I'm a nerd and enjoy techy solutions. I also enjoy a good sound system. Chromecast audios connect easy and you can create speaker groups making a great whole house audio solution with much of the equipment you already likely have (like me)! Great for connecting multiple rooms (I have 3 currently and will be adding more). My only complaint is that you cannot include your regular chromecasts in your speaker groups. Maybe someday. Good sound at a cheap price. Take that Sonos!

I bought this primarily to play music from our phones to the receiver in the living room. I was disappointed to find out it only streams audio from online sources by default. I have no intention of uploading every piece of music I own to Google just so I can stream it back to my living room. I find it hard to fathom that Google would not include the ability to play local content, which is the whole reason I bought it. I was just about to take it back, but I found a work around after doing some searching online. By using an app called Local Cast, I can send any local audio to the Chromecast over my WiFi. I admit that I may have figured out the Chromecast couldn't do this right out of the box, but I can't see a real reason for Google not to include this in their app since the hardware is clearly able to do it.

It's a chromecast and it plays audio. It works good. I like it a lot. It looks like a record. Optical digital output is nice. Sound quality is good. WiFi connection is good. Better than my first gen chromecast.

I bought 2 for myself, and this one for my parents. They are a great intro into multi room wifi without replacing my existing speakers. Overall, sound is great. I do get occasional drops in connection or some times I just have trouble connecting, but most of the time it is great. No more killing my battery with bluetooth, loosing music when I make a call or any of the downfalls of traditional speakers. The multi -room works great, and set up is easy. Just keep in mind you need a paid account to use it with spotify.

As a brand agnostic but a critic of low-fi sound, (I use an iPhone, Samsung S7, Google Play and Amazon Music), this little gizmo flawlessly streams anything I can access on my phones to my audiophile audio system. I have ripped CDs using EAC to a NAS, accessed TuneIn and others, and casted from google play- I bought a second device for my study music system. Not the same as hifi original source but the next best thing and very convenient for 'casual' listening.

Brought back my old pair of speakers to life. Chromecast audio is definitely good. Had the standard chromecast as well. A good addition to the family when topped with a google home Mini.

Purchase this is a Christmas present along with the Chromecast 2015 Model; connected both to our LG HDMI TV and seamlessly switch from streaming music to movies on Netflix, highly recommend both products.

Very easy to use and setup. Just plug in any speaker and you can stream all your tunes on your awesome speaker system. Very cheap wireless audio setup without putting your "old" speaker system to waste.

I had an old pair of Bose computer speakers I never used because it was too cumbersome to plug my phone in each time I wanted to listen to something. And with the new iPhone 7, I didn't want to buy another adapter. Now with the Chrome music, I'm able to listen wirelessly really easily. And for multiple devices, the Chrome is much easier than trying to pair multiple devices to a Bluetooth dongle. My speakers are useful and music is fun and accessible again.

Not too much has to be said about the Chromecast products. In the current generation of electronic devices its purpose is definitely useful and effective at creating a more diverse connection between all different devices so that seamless integration can be achieved. The CC-audio in particular is excellent as it uses WiFi to broadcast "casted" media so an entire building on the same network can transmit from the same source, and personally, it is a wonderful asset. In terms of quality, it is a Google product so it comes with \ very reliable engineering. I've yet to have an issue, all operations receiving, playing, and connecting the device are smooth and effortless. It executes its purpose perfectly.

I read excellent reviews for the Audio Chromecast and the reviews were right on. I had my unit up in running in less than 2 minutes. It took longer to get the device out of the box than to set it up.

Was looking for a Bluetooth speaker when I found this and learned this is what I really needed since I had a great sound bar that I was using for my TV. Easy installation and set up.

I wanted a way to cast audio to various existing speakers (two stereo systems and a whole-house audio system). On paper, the Chromecast is ideal, allowing for both single and group (multiple speaker) casting from a variety of devices and software. When it's working, it's great. We use the "full dynamic range" option and find the sound quality to be very good. The only downside is that we get occasional dropouts in sound--maybe 10-20 seconds every hour or so. We're using Spotify, but I've seen similar reports from people using Pandora and TuneIn. It's not a show-stopper for us but keeps the product from getting a five-star review. I'm hopeful that future software updates will resolve the problem completely.

The sound is clearer and cleaner than Bluetooth. A dedicated audio cast is great b/c you don't have to turn on the TV to get sound. Should cost a little less than the Chromecast video though, no?

My stereo hasn't sounded this good playing digital music for awhile. My receiver can stream certain services, but I still had to have this device for the flexibility and it is worth every penny.

This Chromecast audio brought new life into my aging Ion Tailgater speaker. While it packs a punch it lacks bluetooth and a digital FM radio. With this C.Audio not only can I play music to it, I can control the playlist via my voice and the Google assistant on my phone. I've even used it to add it to my Cast Group of 8 speakers. I have full home surround sound. Quality product at a great price.

The Chromecast Audio works as advertised and sounds better than Bluetooth streaming. The only downside is lack of supporting apps such as iTunes and Amazon music.
