I use this in conjunction with my Google home to cast to multiple speakers at once. You can even control the volume right form the Google home or with the hone app. Great for in house music lovers

Another homerun for Google! I used this in conjunction with my Google Home and speakers. It helps add music in multiple rooms and conveniently does not take up much space.

I've installed two Chromecast Audio devices in my home now so I could test and decide if this is the direction to go. So far, its working great. Simple to install and setup and the Audio quality is awesome. I wish they'd allow you to pass audio from Chromecast Video to these speakers, that would be amazing. Recommend to anyone who can't afford SONOS.

This is an excellent product. It was easy to set up and even easier to use. With this product I am able to tell my Google Home mini to play music on my Stereo and have it flawlessly execute. I can also send music from an app on my phone directly to the Stereo. It's just a great little product for the price. I would recommend it to anyone.

I have wanted this for a long time now. It replaced an Airport Express that I could no longer use because I switched to Android. Works great!

I bought this as a cheaper alternative to my Sonos to out in my garage. It was easy to set up, but proved to be unstable and clunky. Once I got it going it was good, but every time I use it I have to tinker with it to get it going. Also, a few times it stopped streaming and I had to start it again. Kind of annoying. I haven't used multiroom yet, but probably won't bother. TBH Sonos blows this device away in every way, and is well worth the more expensive purchase. Overall it's just an inexpensive device to stream music, but I will wait and see what updates Google comes out with to improve this device.

If I would have known about this product before I bought my Sonos speaker maybe I would not have bought them. I'm actually glad that through this product I can put my old Hi Fi speakers to use.

I bought this device almost on a whim, but it was worth it. I use it almost daily in my home. I connected it to my home speaker setup, and it works flawless. Granted, you have to have a working internet connection for the Chromecast Audio to work, but it's really easy to use and very easy to setup with the Google Home app. Highly recommend, especially if you don't want to depend on the limited range of a bluetooth speaker!

Why do I need to spend a fortune on SONOS when a $35 chromecast audio does the same thing --- better!

Works great, though a little difficult to set up without a screen. Doesn't always do what I expect it to do, but when it works the sound and convenience is great. Mostly I I stream my PLEX music through it.

Great little gadget. Use it with spotify and love that I can control it from my phone, computer, tablet, every device. No complaints.

Chromecast audio is amazing and multi-room setup is a huge plus. Just like with video, you cast sound to the device. At the same time, you can create a group of devices that you can stream music to at once. So, instead of having very long cables and mixers, sound comes out of multiple speakers. It all works well without lags and without problems. The sound quality is also good and supports FLAC. If you like using lossless, it supports FLAC output directly. The only pain is the software setup. If you use google play, spotify then I suppose it is straightforward to just set it up. However, if you want to cast your own flac, it's a little tricky. It requires BubbleUPNP and a UPNP server. I have a hodgepodge of UNP server from Plex and BubbleUNP working for me to cast my FLAC files. For most using Google play, I think the standard stuff would suffice. Overall, if you listen to a lot of music, this is a good product. I have uPNP music server with FLAC files to listen to. Other people might prefer Spotify and Google Music. It solves a unique problem. On the other hand, this is not a necessary product. I guess I could listen to music on my headphones and walk around with them with music everywhere. But, if you spend $1000s of dollars on audio equipment and would like all sort of stereo configurations, this will be a very useful tool for a low cost that works easily. You could use raspberry pis and other complex products but there are just too many things to do and configure. Setting up the Chromecast Audio takes 2 minutes.

It seems to do what i bought it for...gives me the ability to use my home sound system with my cell phone. And so with that in mind - yes, I would recommend this.

I bought this so I could stream to my 1970's Yamaha stereo receiver and it worked perfectly so I bought a second one as a gift for a friend who just moved into a new house. He's using an older Pioneer receiver and once again, it allows him to stream his Pandora and Spotify directly to his 80's hi-fi set up. He also has it set up to go to an older Bose CD/clock radio and it works perfectly there, as well.

Fantastic for playing music throughout the house on a budget. Works seamlessly with most music streamers like google music. If you want to use spotify, must have premium service.

Every since these came out, i wanted one. i have a surround system with no Bluetooth capability and was thinking of getting a Bluetooth receiver. But then began thinking, you have to be close to the receiver. So with this chromecast, you can be walking around with the streaming device without it loosing signal. As long as you don't go out of range with the WiFi network.

Better than any pair of headphones I have available. Just plug and play. I have my phone in my hand daily and the controls allows me to up the sound that my phone can't provide.

I listen Spotify all the time but you cant send the signal thru this with a free membership need to upgrade to premium or just listen pandora or google play like i do now. easy to set up , clear sound

got it to listen from my phone without losing my phone being stuck to my stereo, has an app that way can listen to music and keep access to my phone

Really easy to setup and you can stream all kinds of audio to your new/old speakers without having to pay for a expensive setup.
