Great Device, but not for me...

But this fell a little short with our iPhones. Maybe later down the road Apple will allow Google to do more things and I'll buy this product again. But for now it's going back to the store.

Works most of the time, but inconsistent

It does stream music, but the stream gets lost periodically and takes several attempts sometimes to reconnect. I will note that I am using an iPhone though, so user experience may be better when using an Android product.

Overheats and causes audio issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've only had it for a day now, but I've already noticed that when in use, after about 20 minutes of streaming audio I start hearing the audio pulsing louder and quieter. I noticed when I went to inspect the device (I bought it along with a brand new stereo receiver) that the chromecast audio device was really hot. I turned it off and moved it in hopes that it would cool down and resolve the issue, however about an hour later when I turned it back on, the same thing happened. To rule out the issue being the receiver, I plugged my phone directly into the receiver and audio came out just fine. I ran my audio from my phone for about an hour with no issues. I will be returning this chromecast audio device and exchanging it in hopes that the one I received is defective.

Works well but not particularly practical.

Also many audio devices come with chromecast built-in now so I rarely use this anymore.
