Excellent in all aspects, to make your music become available via WiFi is the best! You can receive phone calls and everything without interrupting the music you are playing from your device. Affordable choice to make your music stereo wireless, you can control your music from your computer, cellphone, tablets.. It is way better option than having a bluetooth device.

Got this to go with my Google Home so I could use a sound bar in another room for listening to music. It works perfectly and setup was so easy.

Super simple and provides my office the ability to stream music from nearly any source to our in ceiling speaker.

This device has was a great addition to my home audio system. The audio quality it outputs has been awesome. My only complaint is that the 5Ghz wifi on my mine seemed to be spotty.

I got this to connect to my computer speaker as part of multi room audio system. It works perfectly fine and synced with my google home mini.

As someone who does not want to drop the money for a Sonos system, now having 3 of these they are wonderful for getting my entire house alive with music.

I bought four of these and re-purposed some old speakers i had to do some wireless music streaming in groups. I put in four separate rooms and created a Homegroup so all the speakers would play the same song at the same time. Once I got it setup it worked flawlessly, all the rooms streamed at the same time and audio was all in sync . Few cons: Software. for music streaming locally (as in stuff already downloaded on your computer) it is very cumbersome to find something simple. Remember that whatever program you use has to support googlecast devices, so your regular media player wont work. There are some windows 10 programs that can see the devices but can't see the Groups, so its hard to stream the same thing to all at once. Also why does the Chrome browser with Googlecast not let you set up groups? I had to do it from my phone. Also you will need to play stuff directly to the speakers, no passthoughs or you will get sync issues. This shouln't be a problem for most but I tried a passthrough on the soundcard on my desktop so i could use the same speakers with my pc audio but the timing is always off no matter what i do with the other 3 chromecast. That said once you get them working its really great, you can put these anywhere your wifi will reach ( I REALLY recommend you have at least an AC router). Also its easy to add more. I use some old sound bars and this setup cost me hundreds less than trying to furnish all my rooms with Sonos speakers or the Bose wireless ones which start at $200 a pop.

Optical out is my favorite feature at the price point, but no connectivity for YouTube audio is a let down. The device also has a Bluetooth for setup but cannot be used for streaming audio via Bluetooth, which could make the audio mirroring from an iPhone possible but seems like a choice Google made to keep off for now. Overall easy to setup and use, but not a complete audio streaming solution as not all apps are supported

This is the audio only version of the chromecast which works great for playing music from a number of different apps or your computer. This device has the ability to do multi room audio when you create groups ie living room, kitchen, bedroom and all the devices would play the same music BUT all of your chromecasts have to be the audio only devices. If you already have a video chromecast in your living room it can not be added to the group. Hopefully they remove this restriction with a future update.

I have this connected to my whole-home device for streaming music to my in-ceiling speakers. Works as advertised and great sound quality.

These little hockey pucks rule. Grab your old computer speakers get a handful of Chrome Audio's and create a whole house sound system.

If you love music then you want this. You cannot beat the product or the price to make any room in to a stream enabled music player room for cheap.....

Perhaps not the best on his category, but compare to the apple TV which is 4 times more expensive, it does the job we expect. The price is really correct. You can go for it

This purchase was a little bit of an experiment. I needed some tech to be able to stream digital audio to my older but much beloved Marantz that has a max tech of optical audio in. Was able, using the mini-toslink output from this device, to stream Tidal in HiFi and sounds great even in 5.1 Thirty bucks for all that, what's not to like....

i have a small handful of these things, and i can listen to spotify wherever i go. one in the bathroom, one downstairs, one upstairs, one in the garage, and one in the bedroom. you can set up any combination of zones and switch at the tap on a finger. definitely the cheapest and easiest solution to music in every room of the house.

Sound quality exceeds Bluetooth limitations. Not quite CD quality but very good. Only downside is device needs constant power. Get around this with a power bank for portability. Easy set up. This is my second Chromecast Audio. One is connected to my main stereo system Other is used for portable speakers and a powered system in another room.

Excellent sound quality, revives existing stereos and powered speakers, works great with Plex, Spotify and most pay audio services, combine with google home sit back and cast any request you desire. Create a group and listen to music, podcasts, news etc. through the entire house in perfect sync. I sold my old Squeezebox setup and never looked back.

I purchased 4 of these and now have music throughout my house. And they work seamlessly in tandem with my other wifi speakers. Not to mention I did all four of these for cheaper than one of the wifi speakers. I have them hooked up to a soundbar, a receiver and a set of computer speakers. Basically if you have an aux in, you can hook this up to it.

Chromecast audio turns any stereo into a smart stereo. Allows you to easily cast music from your phone or tablet to your stereo.

The ChromeCast audio works as advertised and I'm able to send audio to my stereo from both my laptop and phone...simple and does the job well.
