I use this to control my good stereo from my google home mini. Set up is easy with your smart phone, and you can control it with (almost) any smart phone or any google home speaker. Unlike using an amazon dot with a bluetooth connection, you can still use your smart speaker without interrupting your music.

Casting has never been this easy with google devices. This a great product and this is my second chromecast audio!

I bought this together with the Chromecast 2 and it works very well. Converts your speakers to wireless. Set up was very easy.

It's like a Sonos but for a fraction of the price. It's better than bluetooth dongles in terms of audio quality and distance.

BLUF: Chromecast Audio is the cheapest, fastest, easiest way to add whole-home audio to your house. My wife has wanted whole-home audio for years. We looked at Sonos, and the Samung system that seems to have fizzled out. It would have taken us years to build one of these systems. We finally decided to give these little pucks a try. I bought two of them and connected our living room soundbar and the receiver for our outside speakers. It worked perfectly. It was cheap and easy to set up. Since then, we have added another puck and a stand-alone Vizio speaker that we chose solely because it has Chromecast built-in. There is no reason to spend $1400 on a soundbar & sub, just so you can connect it to a $500 speaker in the bedroom. Buy a few of these and you can use your existing soundbar and speakers, and have whole home audio for $140 ($100 if you catch them on sale). The only downside in my opinion is having something else to find a plug for, but a power strip is much cheaper than a Sonos system. And the sound quality is definitely good enough for anyone likely to be reading this review.

The Chromecast audio does exactly what it says it will. Connected to my sound bar in just a few minutes via the Goole Home app. Now I can stream music directly to it, and even connected the device to an audio group for sound all over the house. So good I bought one for a friend that purchased a similar "dumb" sound bar.

The Chromecast Audio works good on my Bose radio. Be aware Spotify only works if you have a premium account. Pandora works with a free account.

I needed this to make a bluetooth speaker a wifi speaker to work with some other chromecast speakers I have.

I have a an older JVC stereo amp connected to speakers throughout the house. Connected the Chromecast Audio to the phono input of the stereo, now able to stream music from my music app on my phone or tablet to the stereo. Works great! For my amp I keep the apps volume low so not to distort the audio.

Great item!! I would recommend this item to everyone if you're trying to convert an old stereo system into something new.
