Works great, just plug into speaker auxiliary input and connect to your wireless network to stream your music!

This is a piece of technology which isn't going to exactly revolutionize a home, but it will enhance a sound system by connecting a set of ordinary speakers to your connected devices (laptop, smartphone, etc.). Whenever I want to listen to music, instead of playing directly on a phone or Bluetooth speaker, I can 'cast' to my wired bookshelf speakers and play music on the nicest speakers in my apartment, the way it should be.

I wish it would work without a power cord. The device works as intended and is a cheap way to get a full home sound system, however, it is nice to bring a speaker out to the backyard and enjoy the same features. It would be an added benefit if the Chromecast audio had a rechargeable battery for use in those situations.

It sounds great and is just as easy to setup as the regular Chromecast. Works with many audio chromecast apps.

The Chromecast audio is very easy to set up, and sounds great! I have it connected to the back of my older hi-fi unit, including the power supply so that it turns on and off with the unit. With the full dynamic range option selected, it sounds every bit as good as any wired source I've heard.

This device essentially adds SONOS-like WiFi capability to any speaker set. The benefit to this device or a SONOS set is that you can control your media directly through their native apps rather than the SONOS app itself. Additionally, Google will be adding multi-room playback support in the near future, so you can cast your audio to multiple rooms at the same time!

This item is perfect for what I've used before the Bluetooth works perfect when trying to listen to music.

The audio Chromecast is remarkable in that for ~$35 it enables a simple way to cast Spotify (and other services) content to a home stereo system. But that's not all, if you have 2 or more Chromecasts you can cast that same content to all devices, creating a home-wide sound system!

This is works with any speakers or sound system that has an AUX port, it is really easy to setup and easy to use. It also allows you to create groups so that you can listen to music in multiple rooms in the house with multiple chromecast audio. It also works flawlessly with google home.

Chromecast Audio does exactly what it's supposed to do. We now have wireless systems throughout the apartment, and the sound is great. Easy to set up and easier to use, this is truly a music lover's dream come true......and for $30 per room (on sale - $35 regular price is fine with me).

I purchased this enable "whole home" audio streaming without taking the leap into Sonos. I have a couple of standalone Sony speakers and Sony soundbar that all are Chromecast enabled. I purchased this for my slightly older (2013) Pioneer VSX-1123, which is only AirPlay equipped. I use that to drive my outdoor speakers. I wanted the ability to create speaker groups using any of my speakers. I like this over AirPlay for three main reasons: 1) It makes a direct connection to your audio source over the internet, after using your device to broker it. That means your device doesn't need to be attached to your wifi network at all times and you don't drain your battery (if you use your phone as a source). 2) Airplay doesn't support speaker groups unless you stream from iTunes on a computer 3) You can add it to any device for $25-$30 That said, if you want to create a "Sonos" like system on the cheap, and you've already got wifi-enabled speakers, go for this.

Really awesome product, like the Chromecast before it, it gets better with each software update. It supports really high quality audio and multi-room setup if you have two or more of them. You can get Sonos-comparable functionality for a way smaller sum of money. Pretty painless setup.

Put your old stereo to good use! Make sure to change the sound quality to highest setting. Easy set up and use your phone to control Spotify. It has a good digital to analog converter built in, so no need to buy the optional optical cable unless you have a very high end receiver.

I listen mostly to classical music and these earphones provide excellent sound. Really does the job.

I connected the Chromecast Audio to my not-too-old A/V receiver, using the optical connection. Now I listen to music all the time and higher fidelity, the FM tuner was just not cutting it. Cons (Minor to me): The device is warm when not in use. The phone battery drains a bit while casting to Chromecast Audio.

This works good but does not work with spottify without premium. It would be cool to stream your music from iPad/iPod.

This can be used to make your whole home sound like it has a complete sorrowing system
