Good and easy to set up, replaces bluetooth functionality for older radios

Got to make an old receiver new life. Need to get proper calbles to connect but once you do, works great.

had previously purchased a chromecast to cast video from my laptop and mobile phone to the tv, was so impressed with the picture quality and ease of use that I decided to try the chromecast audio dongle - thoroughly satisfied with the sound quality!

It gave life to an old Bose Soundock I haven't touched in a while. It's a great device.

Needed to revive my old school speakers! Chrome cast audio did the trick!

I now own 3 of these in my home. They are almost as good as SONOS at 1/10th the cost.

For $35 price Gogle Chromecast audio device is a great product. Pros: Easily connect and listen to your music from any andriod phone. Dont know if Iphone works. Use default play music app from andriod to stream free music from various choice of channels and hits. Gives you free space to upload upto 50,000 songs, so that you can listen them at home or on th go. Cons: Only supported bu andriod. No Windows phone support. Iphone not tested. You wont be able to play music from your phone directly, i mean the songs that you have saved to your phone or sd card. You must upload them all to google music first to start playing over the air. This device needs some technical expertise to operate

I have a motostream and chromecast audio. I've found that the motostream is great when i'm on my main level of my home. Yet this is where the chromecast audio shines. I'm in the basement, upstairs, main floor etc... it works. Wifi coverage works much better than bluetooth. For the price this is a great little device.

My outside speakers are connected to an old inside receiver. Before i installed the chromecast audio, i was connecting my music player to the receiver with a short cable. i would start a playlist and go outside with no further adjustments than outside volume controls-no ability to select a different tune without going back inside. This is a hassle when you are wet from swimming. With the Chromecast audio device, i can use my music player (phone, tablet, laptop) outside for ultimate control without having to go back inside. i did check before buying to make sure i had a wifi signal where i expected to use it. Set up was less than a minute. Every once in a while my player's software (eg, spotify) doesn't recognize my device, but it does work after a few tries. Just what i was looking for and much cheaper than a new receiver.

Easy to setup and easy to use. Love it. Better than bluetooth connection for music.

I have tried several music streaming devices. The difference here is cost (the Chromecast is the cheapest device out there) and signal tolerance (many devices require inter-device wireless connectivity to sync which is impractical in a large house) which is where this device shines. I have three in my attic supplying ceiling speakers in guest bedrooms and they all connect to an access point in my basement 2 floors below. I'm impressed.

This product is awesome. I am using these with monitor speakers throughout my house. Excellent way to,, even better way, to do Sonos type setup and much cheaper. The app is wonderful and easy to use. I can sync and or play different songs in each CCA

Essentially, this device allows you to play streaming music on a system designed for music. It plugs into an auxiliary jack of a stereo system or A/V system, and becomes something forgotten about since it becomes an extension of the stereo. In lieu of purchasing an expensive smart speaker (sorry Google Home Max), this device can be added to most existing stereo or A/V systems for a fraction of the price, and make the Google Home Mini sound great, without a wired connection as is required with the Amazon Echo Dot. Combining several of these devices throughout a house into a single speaker group through the Home app enables a full-house stream of one's music. Thus, this rather inexpensive device finally resolves several work-a-rounds with wires done for years.
