Essentially, this device allows you to play streaming music on a system designed for music. It plugs into an auxiliary jack of a stereo system or A/V system, and becomes something forgotten about since it becomes an extension of the stereo. In lieu of purchasing an expensive smart speaker (sorry Google Home Max), this device can be added to most existing stereo or A/V systems for a fraction of the price, and make the Google Home Mini sound great, without a wired connection as is required with the Amazon Echo Dot. Combining several of these devices throughout a house into a single speaker group through the Home app enables a full-house stream of one's music. Thus, this rather inexpensive device finally resolves several work-a-rounds with wires done for years.

It's as simple as plugging it in and it's good to go. Great product

The setup was easy and it hangs off my bluetooth Klipsh speaker. It's much better than when my wife and I would have to constantly pair our phones. However, sometimes I have issues with Pandora flaking out. I'm not sure if it's a Pandora issue or with the chromecast.

The Chromecast audio is great to have it you want to stream in multiple rooms

As a Spotify subscriber, adding Chomecast Audio to my existing receiver was an inexpensive way to get wireless audio streaming. Still own Sonos and although it does support more services, getting multi-room wireless audio using Chromecast audio is a much more budget friendly solution. Excited to see what additional services/features get added with firmware updates in the future

I use it to stream audio from my phone to either the stereo or a portable speaker. This uses wifi so there's no need to worry about staying within the 20-25ft bluetooth range. After research this was the best solution to fit my needs.

Was planning to buy Sonos Play 5. Chromecast Audio is a great alternative.
