I was a little hesitant on purchasing this a year ago when I first heard about it. I didn't feel like casting music like I do with Netflix and other video off my laptop to my Chromecast connected TV. So when Google Home came out and I began to connect my house with Hue lights I jumped on the idea of trying it out. Let me tell you, this thing is so cool, I'm totally looking at getting more! Not only does it sound great and work with my local stations via iHeartRadio but I can play music from YouTube Red or Google Play Music through my Home Group, which takes my CC Audio and pairs the sound with the Google Home. So now when I walk between two rooms in my apartment, I hear the same music playing at the same volume. I love this little device. Definitely will be getting another soon!

I bought the Chromecast Audio device on black Friday along with a Google Home. I have the Chromecast audio connected to the audio input of my stereo, replacing a bluetooth adapter. I much prefer the way the chromecast works as it connects thru the wifi connection to a device (in this case my smart phone). The wifi connection is not subject to the range issues of bluetooth. I typically use spotify for the music source and am now able to control using either my phone or vocal commands to the google home. There are no hiccups like the old bluetooth connection had when I would receive a notification on my phone or walk out of the room with the phone. Also the quality sounds flawless and full on the stereo.

Nice and convenient piece of tech. Use it a lot and it does the job.

Seems to sound better compared to streaming onto regular Chromecast.

This is my third Chromecast Audio and I am in love with them. To put it simply: you can use any speaker with a 3.5mm, rca, and/or optical to use this. It allows you to purchase multiple CC Audios to connect your whole house with high quality sound without running wires, all off your network. You will encounter audio delays when using different connections. For instance, I have two CC Audios connected with a 3.5mm cable (AUX) and one speaker connected via optical. The optical connected CC Audio is off the rest and while tricky to the get them exactly synced, I have been able to reduce it enough to where it doesn't sound like an echo but there is still a slight difference.

Its a great as able to stream from my devices to the Bose system for the deal I got.

I have a speaker that wasn't smart and I needed to make it smarter as I would to integrate it to other speakers in my home. I went online and did an extensive research on how to be able to make dum dum work with the rest of smart speakers I recently acquired. The device was top of the rest and very affordable. I got two of this and was able to sync the two not-smart speakers I have. It works seamlessly like any other smart speakers out there at a fraction of the cost. Setup was super easy and now, I am able to cast music from my phone to all the speakers in my house. Gone are the days when you have to run wires all over the house. This is the future. I recommend this product without reservation.

Great way to make old speakers easy to connect to and stream audio

Got it to connect an old audio system, and it works well for that. I was thinking of getting one for the audio system connected to my TV but realized the regular chromecast on the TV would do the job there. Some software (e.g. Pandora) does not include volume control, which is annoying since my old audio does not have a remote. Other apps like spitify do control volume in the Chromecast audio.

Bought three of these before hosting the family Christmas Party and connected one to a stereo on each floor of the house and was able to cast the same Christmas music throughout the house. Great $100 (for three) solution if you already have stereo equipment and don't want to toss it out for Sonos speakers to get whole house music.

These headphones have good sound quality and are very comfortable.

I bought several of these to set up a whole home audio system with existing speakers that I had lying around. They work flawlessly together and separately. I can play different things in different rooms or the same thing on all the speakers that I have connected. One down side that I need to work on is that they seem to add a bit of network congestion.

Great way to play your music over any system without plunging in.

Sure, I could probably think of some ways to improve this device and I'm sure Google will, but for the price and convenience, this is an awesome device. I prefer the other media sticks to the full Chromecast, but for audio only, this is the best. Have speakers? You have a wireless speaker system. Better than blueray just because of the sound quality and distance limits. Even better that the device keeps playing even if you receive a phone call or listen to other sources on your phone. I even went to the store with my phone and the device kept playing. Add to that the ability to group multiple Chromecast audio devices to create a whole-home system and it can't be beat. I bought 2 for my primary home and I'm gonna get one for my cabin when the Internet is installed. 5 stars.
