Item works great streaming audio from my phone, computer and tablet to my home theater in any place of my home without any cable connections, also works great playing youtube audio using home app.

Not glamourous but works as intended.Easy to use .

These little guys are fantastic to use for full home audio and for the price you can't beat them... I use this in conjunction with my google home and set up multiple groups including a full house of seamless music.

I bought a few years ago an audio system, at that point those systems with Bluetooth or wifi were expensive, like today also, then I read about the new Chromecast Audio, I just bought it, and now my old audio system works like any super modern system, just play music from any device connected to my wifi, just awesome.

Google home products have an amazing potential to be the only home assistant system you'll ever need. Let's face it, they are backed by Google. ChromeCast Audio specifically though is great for music. Clean, crisp audio that syncs with most of the major music streaming sites. For the price, there is no reason not to try it. A minor annoyance however, is if you are attempting to have a complete smart home setup based on Googles products. It feels as though ChromeCast for the television should play nice with ChromeCast Audio. They do not. I'm certain it's a highly complex problem that will require a lot of mental power to solve and that's okay. As an end user though, the lack compatibility between these two Google products is rather hard to ignore.

This is a great product to "cast" your mp3 collection or apps like pandora or tunein to your old analog stereo system or any powered speakers that have a standard audio mini-jack input. Connection is relatively simple, especially if you're already using Chromecast for video. Using an DLNA-enabled app like BubbleUPnP allows me to cast any title from my mp3 collection stored on my Windows PC using my phone to control playback, without having to copy any mp3's to my phone. Additional Chromecast Audio devices can be used with other speakers or stereos. These can be grouped together to play the same streams. One star deducted for occasional pauses in playback, although it's unclear if the problem is with the Chromecast Audio device or the phone app I'm using.

I like my Chromecast Audio. Easy to setup. Connects quickly. Sounds great. Only gripes: the supplied cable is useless. And iOS has some limits. But even then, it's worth it.

Its pretty neat. It shouldnt be the same price as a chromecast. Would rather see a chromecast have the audio only mode rather than two products... I want a multiroom audio solution, but not really a dedicated device for it. So, its neat. It works. But, like with all Google products it isnt a fully baked idea and they just do it cuz they can.

The chromecast audio is great because you can use multiple chromecasts together to get multi-room audio. These work with anything that has an audio in port and are far cheaper than buying multiple Sonos or Bose wireless systems to get the same effect. The major streaming services support chromecast as well so you will not be without your favorite music. In a nutshell, a simple and effective way to get multi-room audio using any speaker system you want.

Purchased this to stream music from Google music to my home stereo system. All controlled by my tablet or phone. Sounds great. Much higher quality than Bluetooth when using WiFi.

I was initially hesitant because the device is so small that it would be able to stream quality music so far form my router, but the setup was a breeze and it's so easy to use. I have an audio setup that I'm trying to keep minimally intrusive that runs the house speakers and this device works out beautifully

Easy to install and pair and the audio quality is spot on using the optical out option. I was connected and listening to Spotify through my home AV setup within minutes of opening the package.

Have a Google Home or Google mini or a phone/tablet that you want to play music from to a stereo speaker? This is the product for you! The Google Chromecast is so simple and easy to setup let alone use that you can now stream your music to any device that has an Aux or 3.5mm jack.

Chromecast audio is a great addition to google home. very simple to hook up to my stereo. Now I'm able to play music from my google home on my stereo and the sound is so much better.

This is a great tool from Google that does everything you would expect it to do except one thing: Interface with a regular Chromecast. You can't great a group with a regular Chromecast & a Chromecast audio. Just a Chromecast audio. That's disappointing. Other than that--- awesome. Love this little guy.
